Translation

If you were to see how they will stand against the fire and say; “Woe upon us, if only we would be sent back to the world and if only we would not deny the verses of our Lord and be among the believers”!

Tafsir

With the cruelty they have committed in the world and the sins they have earned, you should see them standing in front of the fire in Hell and when they realize the torture there, they say, "Oh, if only we could be sent back to the world so that we would not deny the Verses of our Lord again and be among the believers. If it were possible, Allah (swt) would send them back to the realm of property, Allah (swt) says about them in one of His Verses. (If We send you back to the realm of property not once, but several times, you will still commit the same deed). Because man has written his own desire and will as his destiny with his own free thought. Since this fate of these people is not going to change, they are going to commit the same deeds.

The fact that they speak in this way in the face of the fire is again a half-mouthed statement that they do not have full faith in Allah (swt). Allah (swt) says in one of His verses, "We know the secrets of the hearts". Allah is not cruel that He would take pleasure in their suffering in this way. But if people were to be saved from torment and become among the good people before their souls were perfected, the life of paradise would have turned into a life of torment like the life of this world.

When a Muslim who is a sinner stands in front of the fire in the same place and the disbeliever says to the Muslim: "You were a Muslim, why were you sent here?", the Muslim's answer to the disbeliever will be: "My life in the world was not different from yours, and I have spent my life committing sins. However, I have never compromised from Islam. This punishment that Allah (swt) has given me is too little for me. Hearing these words, Allah will say to that Muslim: O my servant! Your soul has reached perfection, come out of there. Allah is the Allah of His creatures, He is compassionate and merciful to His creatures. He is also the owner of justice. He does not do injustice between any of His servants.

Such people standing in front of the fire and half-heartedly expressing their regret does not reach Allah. Because they do not give up their habits, they will suffer the eternal torment of hell and be cruel to their nafs. Because these people are waiting for the Lord of their own imagination in front of the fire in the life of hell. Their half-hearted statements (if only we could be sent back to this world so that we would never again deny the Verses of our Lord and be among the believers) are deceiving their own souls. Had they truly believed in Allah. Allah is not cruel to keep them in the Fire and torment them. Every soul will be repaid for what it has earned. This is the infallible justice of Allah (swt) and Alaysallahu biahkamil hakimin. According to the Qur'anic verse that says that what everyone earns is the recompense of his own two hands, it is the just recompense of what each soul earns.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-An'am, verse 27: if only you could see them, made to stand before the fire, saying, Ah, if only we were sent back to the world, and did not again deny the verses of our Lord, and were among the believers, it says.

Now, Allah Almighty is not unjust, that when people speak like this He would not give them another chance. He is not unjust.

As our child, (?) our daughter (?) wrote, toward people's talking like that Allah Almighty is not unjust, that He would not give them a chance. So what does Allah Almighty say in His verse? Even if We sent you back not once but several more times, you would again do the same thing. What is the reason? People say with plain reason: well, would any person, after seeing so much punishment, again, it says, do this again? This is plain reason. That is, the normal thinking of a reason without knowledge. Its normal thinking. But when it comes to knowledge, we understand this is wrong. How? When Allah Almighty, while in that world of spirits — we too — at the Alastu bi-Rabbikum address, when He said I am your Lord, made the covenant, their desires and wishes, their own aims, He gave to them as destiny.

He placed these in those people as characters. It is impossible for these to change. But if there is a power that can change this, it is Allah Almighty. If We do not will, you do not will, it says. So with Allah Almighty there is a Book, it says, which is preserved in the Levh-i Mahfuz. Written on the tablet, it says. In the form of tablets, preserved on the tablet. Preserved on the tablet, preserved on tablets, it says. Yes. We call it the Levh-i Mahfuz. It is preserved in the Levh-i Mahfuz. And after that, neither an addition nor a deficiency is made, it says. In this case, since Allah Almighty gave people great value, since He gave man a part of Himself, without in any way interfering with them, leaving their will free as well, according to their desires and wishes He wrote their aims as destiny and gave them those characters.

In this case, when these people see the punishment in Hell, it is impossible that they say this with faith. With what do they say it? With the tip of their tongues. To get out of there. Tomorrow, when these come to the world, when they come to the world, that world will be closed again. Again they will repeat the same game. Because those characters are in them. If Allah Almighty — what would happen? When we say, had He made these Muslim too — if we said that, if we spoke like that — then we would abolish partial will. Exactly. He would have programmed us like angels. He would have programmed us. Whereas Allah Almighty, the summit of His creative art, a being He would create. He would give it of His spirit.

With the desire, wish, ego, fame, renown, pride, arrogance, grandeur found in that spirit — with these things, man would master himself. The power in that spirit would master its own nafs, and since Allah Almighty created a being resembling Himself, that being would know its helplessness. Created, toward its Lord, by its own will knowing its Lord, it would serve Him. This is a great matter, of course.

A person makes a robot and programs it. People do make them, program them. Just as those robots have no gender, angels too are genderless. In this case, with this value Allah Almighty gave man, if — what would happen — Allah them too, rather than burning them in Hell, or after they suffered punishment, had freed them — then, as I said a moment ago, Hell would be abolished, He Himself would have programmed us, we would have become — we too like robots, like angels. Whereas human beings, by the purpose of creation, (?) all His creatures. Lekad halaknâ'l-insâne fî ahseni takvîm. I created man in the most beautiful form, it says.

And since I call him the noblest of creatures — the most honourable of the created. The reason is our Lord giving of His spirit. Giving of it. In this case, man is a very honourable being. So if a person knows his place, knows the purpose of his creation, and becomes a servant to his Lord, that person (?) under his Lord's mercy. Yes, these are wretched people who lie with their own tongues and think they will deceive Allah Almighty too. They do not know that Allah Almighty knows the secrets of hearts.

What does the verse say? If only you could see them, made to stand before the fire, saying, Ah, if only we were sent back to the world and did not again deny the verses of our Lord, and were among the believers, it says. Yes.

Because of their state in the world and the sins they earned, these, in Hell, before the fire made to stand, when they understand the torment there, will say ah — ah, if only we were sent back to the world and did not again deny the verses of our Lord, and were among the believers — if only you could see them saying this, it says. Yes.

Even if it were possible and Allah Almighty sent them to the world of mulk again, Allah Almighty in one of His verses says thus about them: Even if We sent you to the world of mulk not once but several more times, you would again do the same thing, He says. Because the desire and wish in man, by his own free thinking, has been written for him as destiny. Since these people's destinies will not change, these people will again do the same thing.

Their speaking like this before the fire is, again, since they have no full faith in Allah Almighty, words spoken half- heartedly.

Allah Almighty says in one of His verses: We know the secrets of hearts. Allah is not unjust, that He would enjoy their suffering such pain and torment. Allah forbid. Yes.

But if people, before their nafs reached perfection, were to be saved from punishment and enter among good people, the life of Paradise too would turn into a life of torment, like the world. Indeed. If Allah Almighty will not interfere with them, if they came out of there (?), as long as their states did not change, as long as their characters did not change, if they entered Paradise, they would make that place too (?). That place too. You might ask me a question like this. It won't occur to you. If there is anyone (?), if it occurs to anyone, you might ask a question like this. Hodja, you said Allah Almighty will do a new upload for those who enter Paradise — I did not say it, the verse says it.

Yes. I just said the verse. To those who will enter Paradise He will do a new upload. Because their nafs have been reformed. Look, reformed. They have come to know their Lord. Their Lord. In their hearts, in their hearts, if there were even as much as a needle's tip, a little crookedness — not toward Allah Almighty, but toward people, like jealousy — let me tell you, who knows, like envy — as much as a needle's tip if there were of such a trait, since they are in Paradise, Allah Almighty will remove such traits of theirs, and so that place will become an eternal abode of bliss. He will do that much goodness — to whom?

To the people of Paradise. He will do that goodness. Because there is no sin there anymore, no sin. They have earned Paradise. So that they do not sin there, such traits will be removed. Again, within their own will, with their own free thought, they will continue their peaceful life. Yes. The fine points of the matter.

How beautifully we will learn everything in the light of the verses. No verse will contradict any verse. We will not speak from our own reason. Every word we speak will correspond to the verses. A very beautiful thing.

Yes.

When a sinful Muslim too stands before the fire in the same place, and the disbeliever says to the Muslim, weren't you a Muslim, why were you sent here — the Muslim's answer to the disbeliever will be this. That Muslim will answer the disbeliever like this.

My life in the world was not different from yours. I too filled my life committing sins. But I never compromised on the religion of Islam. This punishment Allah Almighty gave me is even too little for me, he will say. That is, I never compromised on the religion of Islam. That is, I never associated partners with Allah. And I did not deny any of the verses of the Quran. I believed in all the prophets Allah Almighty sent. And I believed in the Hereafter, in resurrection after death. I believed in the existence of angels and in the books. But apart from this faith, my nafs prevailed, I did what my nafs said and became a sinner, he will say.

This punishment is even too little for me, he will say. Yes. Allah Almighty, hearing these words, will say: O My servant, your nafs has reached perfection, come out of there. Allah is the God of His creatures. Toward His creatures He is grateful and merciful. At the same time, He is the possessor of justice. He does no injustice among any of His servants. He came out of there. What about the other? The more he burns, the more grudge he will hold against Allah Almighty. The more grudge he holds, he will stay there forever. These people standing before the fire and expressing their regret half-heartedly like this does not reach Allah.

That is, it has no validity in His sight. Since they too do not give up their habits, they remain subject to the punishment of eternal Hell and are unjust to their nafs. And it says: being unjust to their nafs — what our child Yasemin asked us, how does one take revenge on one's own nafs — this is how they take revenge on their own nafs. Yes, because these people, in the life of Hell, before the fire, wait for the Lord of their imagination. Their saying half-heartedly, if only we were sent back to the world and did not again deny the verses of our Lord and were among the believers, is deceiving their own nafs. Had these truly believed in Allah, Allah Almighty is not unjust, that He would keep them in the fire and punish them. Every soul sees the recompense of what it earned.

This is Allah Almighty's unfailing justice, and in line with the verse Eleysallâhu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn it is the just recompense of what every soul has earned. Yes.
