Translation

No! The things they have been hiding before (their sins) appeared to them. If they would be sent back (to the world), they would return to the things they were prohibited from. Verily, they are liars.

Tafsir

Those who disbelieve in Allah, when their sins are revealed to them on the Day of Reckoning and they realize that they will be punished, they want to return to this world and worship Allah. In fact, their desire is to escape the torment there. It is not because they believe in Allah (swt). When they return to the worldly life, they seek other gods to worship and associate shirk with Allah (swt). This is because their own desires and wishes are written for them as destiny. Since it is not possible to change this fate, if people were sent back to the world, they would still return to what is forbidden to them.

(For they are indeed liars.) Why does Allah call them liars? As we have explained in the previous Verses, since these people (in Kalu Bela) denied Allah (swt) even though there is no God but Allah (swt), and since they lied at the root, if they came back to this world not once but several times, they would still commit the same deed.

Allah (swt) willed (in Kalu Bela) that His essence should be known through the intellect He gave to the souls. Every intellect was created to know Allah. Humans were given these intellects as evidence to know Allah. But even though man's intellect knew Allah, out of pride and arrogance he denied the Lord who created him. That is why Allah (swt) calls them liar disbelievers in His verse.

What is said in the video

We don't find it strange that people say it, anyway. Yes, Surah Al-An'am, verse 28. No, the things they used to hide before, the sins, became apparent to them, it says. What they had entered into against Allah before, what they kept alive in their own hearts, those hidden feelings of theirs, became apparent to them. If they were sent back to the world, they would again return to the things forbidden to them. For they are truly liars, it says. Look how beautifully Allah Almighty puts it. Truly they are liars. As I said a moment ago, you see. They thought they would deceive Allah with the puffs of their mouths.

Even now, despite seeing the torment in hell, they think they will deceive Allah; instead of that, they don't say: yes, we believed, we have faith that You truly are our Lord. If they could say this, they would come out of there anyway. Just as when a Muslim with too many sins enters hell, his faith is perfected, because he is a Muslim, of course his faith is perfected. Because he did not associate partners with Allah, because he believed in the books and the prophets, since he had too many sins, his faith is perfected there and he comes out of there. If his faith had been perfect too, that is, if their characters had been upright and sound, surely his faith too would be perfected and he would come out of there.

But they are liars. They are waiting for the Lord of their own imagination, and they think the one who threw them into the fire is that Lord or else his helper; they will take revenge on him. Yes. What does it say? No, says Allah Almighty. The things they used to hide before, the sins, became apparent to them. That is, Allah Almighty (?) to us too, so that the (?) and good they did would not be written. There, at the great court, in the presence of Allah Almighty, when all the sins come out, those sins became apparent to them, it says. Out of that, out of those there, out of their shame: their saying, if You send us back to the world, look, we would (?) these things, is actually deceiving themselves.

Even if We sent them back to the world, it says, they would return to the things forbidden to them. For they are truly liars, it says. Because characters do not change. Like what? Take a lemon seed. When you plant a lemon seed in the soil, it will become a lemon. It will give a lemon tree. If you plant an apple seed in the soil, the apple seed will give an apple. That is, whatever the natures there are, by returning to their origin they will show themselves. So people too, in proportion to the covenants they gave with their own characters, have proved to themselves what kind of person they are. As long as those characters do not change in them, not once but if they came to the world a thousand more times, they would do the same thing again.

Yes, those who deny Allah, on the Day of Reckoning, when the sins they committed are declared to them, when they realise that they will be subjected to the torment, want to return to the world and worship Allah; in fact this wish is to escape the torment there. That is, if it were genuine, it is impossible that Allah Almighty would keep them in eternal torment. What does Allah Almighty say, the verse. We repeated it in our last lesson. We said, don't forget the 'if only'. If only. If only they had known Me, He says. Look, 'if only'. There is a very great meaning here. How merciful our Lord is. How forgiving our Lord is.

How exalted and great our Lord is. That although our Lord holds us accountable, since He did not create us apart from imperfect attributes, how forgiving He is towards us, we understand from the 'if only'. 'If only', He says, (?).

Yes. Their escaping the torment there; they again seek other gods to worship and associate partners with Allah. Let's read this from the beginning. Probably a (?) sentence. Those who deny Allah, on the Day of Reckoning, when the sins they committed are declared to them, when they realise that they will be subjected to the torment, want to return to the world and worship Allah. In fact this wish is to escape the torment there. It is not because they believe in Allah Almighty. When they came back to the life of the world, they would again seek other gods to worship and associate partners with Allah. Because their own desires and wishes have been written for them as destiny.

Since it is impossible to change this destiny of theirs, if people were sent back to the world, they would again return to the things forbidden to them. Because their covenant is like that. Yes. For they are truly liars, it says. Truly. Yes. There, the verse; in another verse too, My Beloved, He says, they are lying disbelievers, He says. Lying disbelievers. Here too, they are truly liars, it says. All the verses confirm one another. No verse contradicts any other verse. That is, they do not conflict. Yes. Why does Allah address them, saying 'for they are truly liars' like this? As we explained in the earlier verses too, these people at Qalu Bala, although there is no god other than Allah Almighty, denied Allah Almighty, and since they lied at the root, these, not once but several more times, if they came back to the world, they would do the same thing again.

They will do the same thing again. Characters are like that. As I said a moment ago. Whatever seed, whatever kind of seed you plant in the soil, it will give its kind. If you plant a squash, it will give a squash. If you plant beans, beans. Sir, if you plant cucumbers, cucumbers. If you plant tomatoes, tomatoes. That is, whatever seed, whatever kind, whatever characters it has gathered in itself, it will give that. Man too, when he made the covenant with Allah Almighty at the address 'Alastu bi-Rabbikum', if his desire and wish, his will, became destiny for him, those characters, with his partial free will, in the world, without force or tyranny used by anyone, sir, by his own desire and wish, his own life, what kind of person he is, is for him to prove. For this reason, as long as those characters are in him, not once, but if he came a hundred thousand times, he would do the same thing again.

Yes.

Allah Almighty, with the intellect He gave to the souls at Qalu Bala, willed that His Self be known. Every intellect was created knowing Allah. These intellects were given to people as proof so that they would know Allah. But although the human intellect knows its Lord, out of the person's pride and arrogance he denied the Lord who created him. For this reason Allah Almighty addressed them in His verse as lying disbelievers. Yes.

Always words, verses in the counterparts of the verses (?).
