If it is hard on you that they turn away from you, find a tunnel to go inside the earth or find a ladder to reach the sky so that you will bring a miracle to them. If Allah had wished, Allah surely would have gathered and brought them together upon guidance, so, do not be among the ignorant ones.

Tafsir

By informing the Prophet (s.a.w.) that no one can change the covenant he made (in Kalu Bela), Allah (swt) is in fact addressing all human beings and clearly declaring that no human being can change his covenant. That is to say, O Prophet, if their turning away from Allah is too much for you, look for a tunnel through which you can descend to the bottom of the earth or a ladder by which you can ascend to the sky, so that you can bring them a miracle. Allah (swt) says: "I am not incapable of doing these things. But they all have a certain destiny, a covenant that He has given us and a covenant that He has bound us to. They cannot go out of this covenant. Therefore, I know what they will do. Even if you show them these miracles, they will not believe. Because We, Azimushshan Azimushshan, being exempt from all kinds of imperfect attributes, have publicly declared Our existence to them with Verses and brought them all kinds of comparisons in languages they can understand. However, these covenants of theirs have become their destiny with the covenants they have made. They cannot go beyond their destiny.

(Had Allah willed, He would certainly have gathered them together upon Guidance. So do not be among the ignorant). Surely, if Allah had willed, He would have gathered people on guidance. Then there would be no difference between human beings and other creatures. Because Allah created and programmed all created beings, except man, for their duties. Allah (swt), on the other hand, left the human being free on his own desire and will. The reason for this is that Allah, Who created man so great, intended that man should know his creator with his own being by making man his interlocutor. Because He gave him a part of his soul. In this respect, Allah has left man free in his will. He says, O Messenger of Allah, although you know these things, do not pity them in your mercy and do not ask me for works that are not possible.

What is said in the video

Of Surah Al-An'am, we stopped at verse 35, says our daughter Selin, yes.

If their turning away is hard on you, it says, if you can, seek a tunnel into the earth or a ladder up to the sky, so that you may bring them a miracle. Had Allah willed, He would surely have gathered them on guidance and united them. So do not be among the ignorant, it says. To whom does it say this?

To the Muslims. It seems to be saying it to the Prophet, but it is saying it to the Muslims; in a figurative sense, by way of comparison it seems to be to the Prophet, but since the Prophet knows the inner side of the matter, you know, there is a saying: I am telling you, my daughter, so that you understand, my daughter-in-law; so as if to the Prophet, in this verse it is saying it to the Muslims. What does it say? So do not be among the ignorant. That is, had Allah willed, He would surely have gathered them on guidance and united them. So do not be among the ignorant.

People turning away from you, turning their backs on you, insulting you,

speaking against you, if it is hard on you, it says, if it is hard, so that you can prove yourself to them, a tunnel in the depths of the earth, a tunnel, or a ladder up to the sky, show them as a miracle, it says. Try to prove yourself to them. For yourself, for this, it says, there is no need at all. If We willed, We would gather them as a single community, it says, a single community. Here all the meanings come; it rests on Alastu bi-Rabbikum. Having created people in the world of Lahut, with their own partial will, with people's desires and wishes, since Allah Almighty wrote their aims for them as destiny, had We wished, We would have created them as a single community.

But because We gave them very great worth, because We gave them a part of Our spirit, We left them free in their own will, and with their desires and wishes We wrote their aims for them as destiny, He says. In this case, in this case, whether they come to guidance or not lies in the destinies, the covenants they have given. So since no one can change this, He says, you too know this very well, so then, He says, do not be among the ignorant; that is, if it is said to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who knows this very well, it is a reminder to us. For example, a person has faith but no knowledge.

He explains to the rebel before his knowledge, explains Allah (?). And the rebel starts, with words, insulting that believer who has no knowledge. And since the person has no knowledge and cannot answer him, he is distressed, he grieves. He grieves. So this verse to such people, to such people, says do not grieve. Do not grieve. Had I wished, He says, I would have created them, brought them as a single community. I would have gathered them in a single community. But since no one can change anyone's destiny, and since I will not change it, so since you cannot change their destiny either, do not be among the ignorant, He says.

Be (?) from them, He says.

With this verse Allah Almighty, by informing the Prophet (peace be upon him) that no one can change the covenant he gave at Qalu Bala, in fact addresses all people and clearly declares that no human can change his covenant. I said a moment ago, didn't I, that this verse rests directly on Alastu bi-Rabbikum. Anyway, the verses always come back to rest there. That is the root. So what is it like? Take a tree. A tree. The tree's root is in the soil. It has a trunk and branches. Without the tree's root, all those branches dry up. The trunk dries up too. So Alastu bi-Rabbikum is the root of this tree, the root of this knowledge.

If one cannot know that place, if one is unaware of that root, he knows neither the trunk nor its branches. Yes.

What are we saying? With this verse Allah Almighty, by informing the Prophet (peace be upon him) that no one can change the covenant he gave at Qalu Bala, in fact addressing all people, clearly declaring that no human can change his covenant: what is it? It is this: O My Beloved! If their turning away from Allah is hard on you, seek a tunnel by which you can go down into the depths of the earth or a ladder by which you can go up to the sky, so that you may bring them a miracle, He says. That is, your proving Me to them to the point of destroying yourself, proving that you are a prophet, in the face of that they will not change the character traits in them, He says.

Because they gave their covenant that way. Yes.

Allah Almighty: I was not incapable of doing these. What does it say here?

Had Allah willed, He would surely have gathered them on guidance and united them, it says. Well then, Allah is not incapable. Why would you grieve yourself? We set out and try to tell someone the truth. The man goes on chattering, chattering.

With (?) words, satanic words outside the verses, he speaks. Well, what are you going to tell him? Why would you (?) yourself? Did you convey it? You did. What was our duty? To convey. To convey. What does Allah Almighty say? My Beloved, I did not send you to use force, but to convey. Mercy is from Me, He says. And here too He says so. If I wish, He says, I would gather them on guidance, He says. So it is. So there is telling people the truth. What is this like? A person has not found his own self in the environment he is in. His self. And what is this like? Like a flower growing in a pot left dry.

That is, the flower is alive, but in that waterless life it may dry up at any moment. If we liken this flower to a person, if that person, in such dry soil, that is, among people unaware of themselves, is found, then this is commanding the good. That is, telling Allah's verses is like giving water to that soil. What does it do? Once that flower has taken its water from that soil, it comes to life more beautifully. So in that person, if there is beauty in his nature, when Allah's verses are told to him, he turns back to his own self. If he does not have that nature, if he is a flower drying in a dry pot, rain on him as much as you like.

It has already dried. It will not come to life. So in the verse He says: My Beloved, your words, you cannot make the deaf who do not listen and turn their backs and go hear. And the dead you cannot make hear at all, He says. Yes. Allah Almighty: I was not incapable of doing these. That is, had I wished, I would have gathered them together on guidance. But all of them have a certain destiny, a covenant they gave Us and a pact they bound. We bound the pact. From what? We wrote everyone's desire and wish for them as destiny, and within those destinies We gave them the character traits that will say desire, He says.

Yes, these cannot step outside these covenants of theirs. Since they cannot, forcing them, for a person who knows the religion of Islam, is not fitting; forcing. But to one who asks you questions in order to learn, you are obliged to explain. But, he says, if this is so and that is so, look, the verse says this, he says. But, he says, this man did such a thing, did that, and did this. You say that he was within his destiny. Allah Almighty gives some people calamity, others mercy, (?) them. You know, when with such people a state appears in the religion of Islam as if doubtful, as if they had suffered hardship over the verses, as if, let me say, they were distressed, when they ask you questions, you are obliged to explain as well as your tongue allows.

You see that he still goes further. He still goes further. He does not want to understand. No, then his intention is clear. His intention is clear. You do not answer him. You just leave. Once upon a time, I think I told you this. Two people, two people call me to their room.

They say to me: the Quran is Allah's word. Yes, Allah's word. Well, a doctoral book is written in one thousand five hundred pages, three thousand five hundred pages.

A judge's book, for example, is written in three thousand pages, five thousand pages. All books are written like this in thousands of pages. Are all of them, he says, in the Quran? Yes, in the Quran. Well, how can that be? We said: Allah's word is upon truths. Since it is upon truths, verses have many meanings. The secret of creation too is within this Quran, but where they are is not known. We cannot know them. Allah Almighty says the wet and the dry, all of it, He says, is in the Quran. Now, he says, we gathered so many books, brought them, and pushed them inside the Quran, didn't we, he said to me. And I said: your intention has become clear.

Let me tell you two words, I said, and then leave you. Fine, what are these two words, he said. If a person does not believe in the Quran and hadith, do not answer him at all, do not talk, end the matter, he says. May Allah grant well-being.

Yes. You see the person is also taking it to charlatanry. You do not answer him at all; let him end the matter this way.

There is. These cannot step outside these covenants. For this reason I know what they will do. Even if you showed them these miracles, they would not believe. However many miracles you bring, they will not believe.

And it is not that I do not give you miracles, Allah Almighty says. He split the moon, divided the moon in two. He spoke with trees, spoke with animals; I do not refuse to give you miracles, He says, but I sent you as a mercy to the worlds, He says; mercy; since I sent you as a mercy to the worlds, if I were to show you a miracle that they asked for, He says, and they did not believe, it would become necessary to destroy them. Then this time it would contradict My sending you as a mercy to the worlds, He says. For this reason I removed destructions; I will only give them calamities, He says. For this reason, He says, do not ask of Me a tunnel in the depths of the earth, a ladder going up to the sky, He says.

Yes.

Because We, free of every deficient attribute through (?), made Our existence openly known to them with verses, in languages they will understand; in which languages? When we say these languages they will understand, it goes to several meanings. One: We sent the Quran in Arabic so that it would be better understood. Two: in the Holy Quran We brought comparisons in a way every person will understand, He says. So, the language one will understand.

Both the most ignorant and the most learned will be able to understand. Repeating His verses again and again. Which is why we call the Quran Dhikr-i Hakim. (?). Changing the words again and again, so they come to the same meanings, in a high sense, in a low sense, Allah Almighty explains. In a way everyone will understand. Yes.

Because We, free of every deficient attribute through (?), made Our existence openly known to them with verses, in languages they will understand, every kind of comparison We brought, He says. But with the covenants they gave, these covenants of theirs have become destiny for them. They cannot step outside their destinies. Everyone will live his own destiny. So, what a beautiful order Allah Almighty has set up. He has closed that world to us. He has put us in this world where His essence is not seen.

He has closed that place. He has closed that address Alastu bi-Rabbikum, our covenants. Here Allah Almighty, making His essence known to people through prophets, books and scholars, addresses people. Now every mind knows that it was created. It knows this. In this case, obey and worship your Lord who created you, He says.

Since man does not know the covenant he gave there, there; had he known his covenant, I came there as a denier anyway. I would deny here too anyway, he would say, and turn his back. Here, zero; everyone starts from zero, from age one. He starts from an unconscious world. That is, he starts to live here an unconscious, unseen, closed-off world. Whatever a person's traits are, whatever his destiny is, within his traits his desire and wish begin. Although a person knows his Lord, he either becomes obedient to his Lord or turns his back on his Lord.

In this case, if a person, a person, in a world he does not see, in a world where he does not see his Lord, rebels against the one who created him, since Allah Almighty, with His verses too, said I will not call anyone to account for a thing I have not made known, and since with His verses He made the truth known to people, tomorrow, on the Day of Judgement, in the world of the hereafter, in that Supreme Court, people, in the presence of Allah Almighty, have not a single word left to say to Allah Almighty. Yes. That is why a beautiful order has been set up. Those places have been closed. Come on, He says, now know Me here.

Know. You denied there, but know here. Why then did You send me here? I already know it, and You know it too, that if I gave my covenant wrongly there, here too, here too I will not recognise You. Why did You bring me here? Would he say that? He would. So Allah Almighty, who is free of any deficient attribute, since He gave that person a part of His own essence, a spirit, when Allah Almighty, in human form, says I created you, those who deny, since they see Allah Almighty in the form of a human like themselves, a pride, arrogance and egoism, a haughtiness comes into their hearts, and they wait for the Lord of their own imagination and turn their backs on Allah Almighty.

So since Allah Almighty is free of any deficient attribute, so that they may not say: here I saw You like myself, saw You like my essence; had You sent me to a (?) world, how beautifully I would have worshipped You there; so that they may not say this, He created this world a second time. So man in no way, before Allah Almighty, on the Day of Judgement, in the Supreme Court, will find a single word to defend himself. Not a single word.

Had Allah willed, He would surely have gathered them on guidance and united them. Because Allah Almighty, with His power of creation, is able to do all things. Our Lord is able to do all things.

So do not be among the ignorant. Surely, had Allah wished, He would have gathered people on guidance. On guidance.

Just as He worked our desires and wishes into us as character traits, and we were programmed with those traits; we had ourselves programmed. On those programs, what those traits will do (?), what they will want, what they will hold to, all of it is known by our Lord. In the verse too: there is not a single living being to come until the Day of Judgement, (?), whose doings We would not know. So according to those desires and wishes, according to those traits, He knows what people will do throughout their lives. In this case, had Allah Almighty wished, He Himself would again have programmed us and as a single community gathered us.

Apart from this, when we enter Paradise, which let us say, God willing, God willing, all together, by our Lord's mercy, for we are here to earn His mercy; by His mercy, we are here because we know His promise is true. According to the verse, only the disbelievers lose hope in Allah, we are here because, not losing hope in our Lord, we aspire to His Paradise. But since people are not free of error, if they repent, surely Allah forgives their repentance. And God willing, tomorrow when we enter the high Paradise, the high Paradise, there He will give us a new upload. What does it say? When you enter there, you will be given a new upload, it says.

What is this new upload?

In this world, jealousy passes through our hearts, does it? It does. Jealousy passes through. Well, does disliking someone else pass through our hearts? It does. Does envying someone else pass through? That too passes through. So in the high Paradise, such traits passing through the heart He will remove; He will program them with a beautiful program such that there, in no way, no person thinks ill of any person. That is Paradise. No one will have an ill thought towards anyone. No one will be jealous of anyone. And no one will be (?) towards anyone. Everyone, content with his state, will live an eternal, endless life.

An eternal, endless life. Yes.

Had Allah willed, He would surely have gathered them on guidance and united them. So do not be among the ignorant. Surely, had Allah wished, He would have gathered people on guidance. Then there would remain no difference between people and the other created beings.

Who are the other created beings? The angels, the animal kingdom, whatever He created, because our Lord programmed them according to His own will and wish. He programmed them for the tasks they will do. Each of them is programmed for a certain duty.

Man, however, had himself programmed by his own desire and wish.

So within these desires and wishes He created a world suitable for human life; so that man can live in this world, He created 17,000 worlds that filter and cleanse one another. 17,000 worlds. When there is a (?) in one of these, the world's balance is upset. Its balance. Of these seventeen thousand worlds, of the created in this world, the noblest of creatures, created in the most beautiful form; the human He created in the most beautiful form, He made the vicegerent of these seventeen thousand worlds He created. Look at the worth He gave man. And He programmed him with his own will. So, had Allah wished, when He programmed us with His own will, there would be no difference between us and the other created beings.

Surely, had Allah wished, He would have gathered people on guidance. Then there would remain no difference between people and the other created beings. Because Allah created all the created, the created beings other than man, for the tasks they will do, and programmed them. Allah, Allah Almighty, left man free according to his own desire and wish. The reason for this: Allah, who created man (?), holding man as His addressee, willed that man know his Creator through his own existence. Because He gave him a part of His spirit. For this reason Allah left man free in his will. Yes.

O My Beloved! Although you know these things thus, out of your mercy, pitying them, do not ask of Me things that cannot be, He says. Do not ask of Me things that cannot be. Yes.
