Al-An'am 41: Indeed, you would only pray to Allah. And if Allah wishes (if it is within your fate), Allah would alleviate the issue that you are praying for. Then, you would forget about the idols that you associate as partners.

Translation

Indeed, you would only pray to Allah. And if Allah wishes (if it is within your fate), Allah would alleviate the issue that you are praying for. Then, you would forget about the idols that you associate as partners.

Tafsir

Allah is the Knower of the secrets of hearts and the One who binds people's destiny to their desires and wishes. Our Lord says: Verily, you pray to Allah. As we have explained in the previous verse, He is telling us that He knows that every soul knows that it has a Lord who created it, and that when a calamity befalls them, the idols they have made with their own hands will not help them, and that those who associate partners with Allah are well aware of this. In this respect, it states that they ask Allah, the Creator of them, and that they call upon Him alone.

Allah (swt) will open to them what they ask for if He wills. That is, He accepts their prayers. Why does Allah grant them what they ask for? Allah is merciful and just. If a person asks for something that is not in his destiny, it will not be granted to him. This is because that person cannot tolerate objects that are outside of his destiny, his desire and his will. Therefore, when people are overwhelmed, they ask Allah for things. Since Allah works in favor of His creatures, He does not give His servants requests that they cannot bear. However, if he wishes, that is, if there are things that are within his own destiny, they will be bestowed upon him.

In these circumstances, these people forget their idols which they associate with Allah. And when they have attained complete felicity, they again forget Allah, who created them, and return to their idols, which they associate with Allah.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-An'am, verse 41. Rather, it says, you call only upon Allah, it says. Remember, just before, it says, when a disaster comes upon you, whom do you call upon? If you are truthful, it says. So, rather, you call only upon Allah, it says. Look: rather. Why do they call upon Allah? So it is because they knew in the first barzakh that they were created. And He, if He wills, removes that for which you pray to Him, if He wills He removes it, and then you forget the idols you associated with Him, it says. Yes. If He wills, He removes it. That is, if it is within your destiny — the prayer you made, if it is within your destiny; He does not give you what lies outside your destiny.

He grants it to you. For example, at sea, in a storm, you are struggling among the waves. And indeed the ship sinks. Some get out of it alive and some die, don't they? So if it is in his destiny he will die; if it is in his destiny he will be saved. That is why we say: if He wills, He removes it. Yes.

Yes.

here too

it is written like this: no, you call upon Allah alone, and He removes, if He wills, the affliction for whose removal you called upon Him, and you forget the things you associated with Him, it says. Yes. 41. Verse, Surah Al-An'am.

Yes. Rather, it says, you call only upon Allah. And He, if He wills, removes within your destinies that for which you pray to Him. If He wills. He removes it within your destinies. And then you forget the idols you associated with Him, it says.

Allah Almighty is the one who knows the secrets of the hearts and who binds people's destinies to their own desires and wishes. That is, who writes them. Who writes people's destinies according to their own desires and wishes. Where? In the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm. When He created our spirits in the world of lahut and said there, "I am your Lord," towards our Lord there, our degrees, that is, our obedience — with what strength, with what faith, with what obedience we said "our Lord" to Allah Almighty — Allah knows its degree. And this depends on the states of the nafs. For example, there are those who live nafs-i ammara, those who live nafs-i lawwama, those who live nafs-i mulhima, those who live nafs-i mutmainna, those who live nafs-i radiya, those who live nafs-i mardiyya. What are these?

Saying "our Lord" to Allah Almighty with strength, with longing. The strength of faith. In some, its weakness. Weakness is a low degree of faith. But faith does not come. A Muslim. A Muslim, but with a low degree of faith. In nafs-i ammara: in drink, gambling, fornication, in every kind of evil. So faith is weak. Bound to the nafs, fearing Allah a little more, in his prayer, his supplication, his fasting — nafs-i mulhima — turned to piety, a saint who has reached the state of tayy-i mekan, a small saint. Those at nafs-i mutmainna: believers who have come to know the divine manifestations. Allah Almighty — again, it will come in Surah Al-Ma'idah.

He distinguishes believers from Muslims very beautifully.

In a verse. Sir, He speaks to people. The believers are like this, it says. Among the Muslims. When that verse comes, we will open it up for you. This is in Surah Al-Ma'idah.

Yes.

Allah Almighty is the one who knows the secrets of the hearts and binds people's destinies to their own desires and wishes. Our Lord says: rather, you call upon Allah. As we explained in the previous verse, because each spirit knows that it has a Lord who created it, when a calamity befalls them, those who associate partners with Allah also know well that the idols they made with their own hands will be of no benefit to them — this He declares to us. Those who associate partners with Allah, you know, it says, those who commit shirk — they too, it says, know Allah's existence very well. That is why they say "Allah," it says.

Allah.

He proves this to us with these verses too. And Allah says it — but let us see, does the person in front of us say it? They say it too. I am a witness to one of them. He even says, I never used to say Allah. In the Alps, he says, while driving, when the car flew into the ditch, he says, out of that fear I said Allah, he says. He asks me: what made me say this, he says.

Our Lord says: rather, you call upon Allah. As we explained in the previous verse, because each spirit knows that it has a Lord who created it, when a calamity befalls them, those who associate partners with Allah also know well that the idols they made with their own hands will be of no benefit to them — this He declares to us. For this reason, that they ask of Allah, who created them, and call upon Him alone, He makes known. There is no god besides Allah, after all. These too know very well that they were created. But because they associate partners with Allah, out of their stubbornness, out of that arrogance and pride in them, out of their self-importance, they do not bow to Allah.

And Allah Almighty, if He wills, opens to them what they ask for. That is, if it is within their destinies, of course. That is, He accepts their prayers. Why does Allah, if He wills, open to them what they ask for? Allah is the possessor of mercy and justice. When a person asks for something not in his destiny, it is not given to him.

If it is outside his destiny, it is not given. Is there a verse for what you say? There is.

The verse is this: (?) wants to load onto your backs what you cannot bear. If you ask for something outside your destiny, you cannot bear it. Because your (?) and wish and will lie only within those destinies. Some things you later asked for in the world with aql-i maash push you outside your destiny. And this — the covenant Allah Almighty made with you — it breaks. For this reason Allah Almighty does not grant the requests of those whose wishes are outside their destinies — but they pray, it says. Our prayer was not accepted, they say. They accuse Allah of stinginess, they say.

In that case, on the Day of Judgement, when Allah Almighty calls us to account, many good deeds before us He will bring out. Allah Almighty — O my Lord, we did not actually do these. What are these? When we ask, He says: you once made a prayer in such-and-such a place. Yes. Because that prayer was a load outside your destiny that you could not bear, and because it was something that would drag you into disasters, or drag you into kufr, or lower your degree, We did not give it to you. In return for that patience of yours, today this reward is yours, He says. How beautiful. Nothing is in vain.

Nothing is in vain.

Yes.

To Allah those who associate partners — that they too know well, that they know Allah — He declares to us. For this reason He makes known that Allah, who created them — that they ask of Allah and call upon Him alone. And Allah Almighty, if He wills, opens to them what they ask for. That is, He accepts their prayers. Why does Allah, if He wills, open to them what they ask for? Allah is the possessor of mercy and justice. When a person asks for something not in his destiny, it is not given to him. Because this person cannot bear things outside the desire and wish of his own destiny. For this reason, when people are distressed, they ask Allah for certain things.

He does not give them those. But if He wills — that is, if there are things within their destiny — those are bestowed upon their destinies, He says. That is, they are given. If it is within their destinies, it is given. so these people, in these situations, forget the idols they associated with Allah; in those painful times, those terrifying times, the idol does not come to mind, they only say Allah; when they have fully reached safety, again they forget Allah, who created them, and again return to the idols they associated with Allah. They turn back to them again.
