Translation

Allah is the One Who has made the night and day come one after the other, for those who desire to take lesson or those who desire to be grateful.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) gives the example of the alternation of night and day so that those who wish may thank Him or take a lesson from Him. Since Allah (swt) created the universe with knowledge, He proves His existence to human beings with His knowledge through the superhuman creation of the universe and its inhabitants, and by making them behold it in a state of order and regularity.

It is a great event that the earth rotates around the sun to bring about the seasons, and also that it rotates around its own axis to bring about day and night. Only Allah, the Creator of the worlds, is capable of this. Other than Him, no other force or power can create a mote, nor can it create an order like this creation. However, when people examine this order created by Allah, they prove that this universe created by science was created by a God, and that God alone is the only one.

The rotation of the earth at a speed of forty thousand kilometers in twenty-four hours due to the repulsion of the magnets at the south and north poles of the earth, which is one thousand six hundred and sixty-six kilometers per hour, and the creation of day and night. It is an event that can only be brought about and created by a Divine force.

Allah shows His creation with examples to those who want to take lessons from these events, or to those who want to return to Allah's Essence, or to those who want to remember Allah and give thanks after these events. Allah (swt) informs people of His creations with knowledge, with examples that every human mind can comprehend, and that His existence is eternal and everlasting.

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 62 of Surah Al-Furqan.

For those who wish to take heed or to give thanks, it is He who makes night and day follow one after the other. Surah Al-Furqan, verse 62. It seems to me it's been opened wrong here. Let's take a look, let's see. I must have corrected it.

Let me look at it in my, uh, thing.

Let me bring it like this.

Let me open this, come on. Let me open my Quran (?). 200

359, isn't it? Yes. Al-Furqan Surah — Surah Al-Furqan, which verse were we on? Verse 62, isn't it?

56 62 Verse 61. That's not it either.

62, two, for people, night and day, a lesson. One after the other, yes, to take heed and give thanks.

For those who wish to take heed or give thanks. It is He who makes night and day follow one another. Here, let's look at it in this one. What can I say? This one says the same. They don't use the word "wish" on its own there.

Here,

somehow they've written the correct one.

Here they've written it correctly.

"For those who wish to take heed or give thanks, who wish," it says. Correct.

Allah Almighty, so that those who wish may give thanks to His Self or take heed, holds up the succession of night and day as an example. Yes.

When Allah Almighty created the universe with knowledge, through the creation of the universe, which is beyond man, and what is between, setting them in motion in order and harmony, He proves His existence to people with His knowledge. Indeed. Look at the earth today. It floats in a void. In a void, mind you. We have no proof in our hands. That is, we have no guarantee. Our only guarantee is Allah. On the earth we spin in the void like this. And the earth, around its own axis, in 24 hours, turns at a speed of 1666 kilometres. In 24 hours. This rotation steadies the earth around its own axis. Its rotation. That is, not in the sense of holding it fixed.

A state arises as if it weren't turning at all. And it feels to you as if you were standing still where you are. Now, there are spinning tops, you know. We used to spin tops like this in the old days. This fellow — when it spins fast, it stands bolt upright like this. Bolt upright. It doesn't budge at all. You'd say to yourself it isn't turning at all. Yet it is turning. When it starts to (?), it begins to wobble. In the earth, Allah Almighty has created such a balance that, while around its own axis it turns, it stays as if it weren't turning at all in its place. And we on it, at ease, steady — Allah Almighty created knowledge and the universe.

One who has a mind — this being's creation in this way, that no being besides Allah Almighty could be capable of it — What does He say? Allah Almighty, so that those who wish may give thanks to His Self or take heed, holds up the succession of night and day as an example. When Allah Almighty created the universe with knowledge, the universe beyond man and what is between — through their creation, setting them in motion in order and harmony, His existence He proves to people with His knowledge. The seasons arising from our earth turning around the sun, and also, from its turning around its own axis, night and day arising — this is a great event.

This event belongs only to Allah Almighty, who brought the worlds into being from nothing — it is His alone. No force or power besides Him can create even an atom, nor establish an order like these created things. But when people examine this order that Allah created, that this universe, created with knowledge, was created by a God, and that this is none other than Allah, they have proven. With the magnetisms in the earth's southern and northern parts repelling each other, the earth's turning at a speed of 40 thousand kilometres in 24 hours — that is, per hour one thousand six hundred and sixty-six and some — and through this turning, night and day come about.

It is an event that only a God, by a force from Him, can bring about and create. So, to those who want to take heed from these events, or who want to return to Allah's Self, and to those who, after these events, want to give thanks by remembering Allah, through examples His creation He shows. Allah Almighty, through His creation made with knowledge and examples that every human mind can grasp, that His existence is everlasting, without beginning and without end, makes known to people. Yes.

We said the earth has a North Pole and a South Pole, right?

At the North Pole there is a magnetism, and at the South Pole too there is a mass of magnetism. Like poles repel each other. (?) poles attract each other. Now,

the magnetisms at the earth's north and south poles were created to repel each other; these masses that our minds and imagination cannot grasp are adjusted to each other with such millimetric calculation — those weight masses our mind and imagination cannot grasp, adjusted with millimetric calculations, with the unevenness of mountains and plains taken into account — their repulsion cannot hinder the earth's 24-hour rotation around its own axis.

What an order it is.

Yes. So by Allah Almighty's power of knowledge, while turning the earth, He did not create the plains and mountains haphazardly either. Haphazardly. As the earth turns around its own axis, as the mountains turn, they strike the air and give off a sound.

That sound is the ney that Mevlana played? The sound of the ney? At one time it played in my ears too. An inner sound. He created the earth's mountains just like the keys of a piano. Nothing of it is random.

Yes.

What does Allah Almighty say? In His verse: "Those who know Me most fear Me most," He says. "Those who love Me most — those who love Me — love," He says. Those who fear Me most, those who fear, love. Those who love Me most, love. Now, when a person, through knowledge, sees this majesty of Allah Almighty, he fears, of course. But if, through knowledge, he also clings to Allah Almighty's promise to people, he too loves Allah Almighty very much.

Scholars, He says, embrace knowledge and find life, He says. How beautifully He says it. Now, a scholar, a person raised by Allah — his loving Allah Almighty and fearing Him, and an ordinary person's loving and fearing — are they the same?

Yes.

What does Allah Almighty say in a verse? "I have servants such that neither buying and selling nor trade, from My remembrance, can keep them," He says. Such a person — apart from absent-mindedness, human absent-mindedness, apart from man being raised absent-minded and flawed — if he does not forget Allah Almighty, and if this person goes to bed at night having entered into (?) — this person, and a person who, from morning to evening, his five daily prayers (?) — how many times would he remember Allah Almighty until evening, I wonder? And how many times a day would he invoke Allah Almighty?

Would they be equal?
