Translation

And they say; “Oh our Dear Lord! Eliminate the suffering of the hell from us. Verily, its punishment is not temporary but enduring.”

Tafsir

The righteous servants of Allah stand in prostration and qiyam until morning at night. They say to Allah, our Lord, remove the torment of Hell from us. These righteous people are people who have realized the essence of the matter. They are people who are intimately acquainted with the reality of Allah's wahdat, the truth of the resurrection after death, and the truth of Allah's promise that in the Hereafter, after interrogation and questioning, they will go to Paradise and Hell. In this respect, these are the people who, out of fear of Allah's punishment, turn to Allah, hoping for His Paradise, and asking Him to remove the punishment of Hell from them.

They are people who have realized that Allah's punishment is not transitory as it is in this world. In the worldly realm, when every soul tastes death, its suffering and torments come to an end. But in the Hereafter, since there is no more death, there is no end to the torments. How can people who cannot endure the torments of this world and rebel, endure the eternal torments of Allah in the Hereafter? The righteous servants of Allah have realized this, and in this realization they make supplication to Allah, wishing that the torment of Hell be removed from them.

What is said in the video

Now, Surah Al-Furqan, the 65th verse. And they say: Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed its punishment is not passing but lasting, it says. Now, the verses always support one another. What do they say? People are not eternal in Hell, Allah Almighty does not say eternal. Well, there are so many verses saying they are eternal there in Hell. This verse supports that too. What does it say? Avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed its punishment is not passing but lasting. It is eternal. Yes. So where does the eternity of the punishment of Hell there come from? It comes from the people there (?) the eternal punishment.

Allah's righteous servants spend the night until morning in prostration and standing. They say to Allah Almighty: Our Lord, avert the punishment of Hell from us. These righteous people are people who have grasped the essence of the matter. Allah's oneness, that resurrection after death is true, and that in the hereafter after questioning people will go to Paradise and to Hell, that Allah's promise is true: these are people who know this with certainty. For this reason, since these people fear Allah's punishment, turning to Allah, hoping for His Paradise, asking that the punishment of Hell be averted from them, such people they are.

They have understood that Allah's punishment is not passing like that of this world; such people they are. In this world, with every soul tasting death, the pains and torments it suffered come to an end. But since there is no more death in the hereafter, the torments will never cease either. People who cannot bear the passing worldly torment and rebel, how will they bear Allah's eternal punishment in the hereafter? Allah's righteous servants have understood these things, and in this understanding, wishing that the punishment of Hell be averted from them, they make supplication to Allah.
