Translation

Say; “If the thing that you are desiring so rapidly were with me, the matter between you and me would have been concluded already. Allah knows well the time of punishment for the oppressors.”

Tafsir

My Messenger, say to those who are in the darkness of shirk, to those who disbelieve in Allah, (If I had had the torment that you seek in haste, the affair between you and me would have been over long ago). There is haste in the existence of man by virtue of his creation. Our Prophet, because he was a human being, would have destroyed those who were in the darkness of shirk, those unintelligible tribes, in order to prove the existence of Allah to those who called Allah, and would have finished them off.

But (Allah is well acquainted with the time of the torment of the wrongdoers.) Allah does not destroy a person because of a mistake he has made. Allah says in one of His verses, "If you had been caught immediately for the mistakes you have made, you would not have found a single living creature roaming the earth". Accordingly, when people make a covenant with Allah (swt), Allah (swt) expects them to fulfill their covenant within the lifetime that Allah (swt) has allotted to them, whether it is the lifetime of the wrongdoers or the righteous.

In this respect, Allah says to those who are unjust to their souls, Allah is well aware of the time of the torment of the wrongdoers. That is, He waits for the completion of their wrongdoing against their souls. In accordance with the verse that says, "To Allah is your final return", it is so that people will not leave any missing doors to speak against Allah (swt).

What is said in the video

Surah Al-An'am, verse 58:

Say: if what you ask to hasten were in my hands, the matter between you and me would long since have been settled. Allah knows best the time of the wrongdoers' punishment, it says. Now, say, He says to the Prophet, if that which you ask to hasten were in his hands, if it were in the Prophet's hands, the matter between us would long since have been settled. What does this mean? (?), he says. And however much you are patient, he says, I am a human too. I will surely come; what will I do to you? Perhaps I will destroy you as a lesson for the others, he says. The matter between us would long since have been finished.

That is, I could have destroyed you, he says. But Allah knows best the time of the wrongdoers' punishment, he says. These worlds are programmed; the generations to come from you, and until the Day of Judgment the people to come too – without proving what kind of people they are did you think they would die? – according to this verse. Allah Almighty, he says, knows their times very well and has set them, he says. Yes.

My Beloved, to those in the darkness of shirk, to those who deny Allah, say: if what you ask to hasten (?) had been in my hands, the matter between us would long since have been finished. By his creation, there is haste in man's being. The Prophet too, because he is a human, to prove Allah's existence to those who say Allah – as I said a moment ago, Allah's existence, to prove it to those who say Allah – those in the darkness of shirk, these peoples who won't listen, he would long since have destroyed and their business finished.

Yes. They want this. But Allah Almighty knows that people who will come from them will also be Muslims. He also knows when they will (?) punishment. Within their lifetimes – estimating themselves within how much time, within breaths – and Allah, by Allah's attribute: by letting me live early or late or taking me early, I would have returned to You – that they are (?) from saying this, He knows. For this reason, since no one can question or call Allah to account, He lets them live until a set time. And He postpones their punishment.

The Prophet too, because he is a human, Allah's existence to those who say Allah – to prove it, those in the darkness of shirk, these who won't listen, the peoples, he would long since destroy, their business would be finished. But Allah knows best the time of the wrongdoers' punishment. Allah does not destroy a person as a result of making a mistake. In a verse: if you had been seized at once for the mistakes you made, you would not find a single living being walking the earth, He decrees. According to this (?), when people made the covenant with Allah Almighty, within a lifetime Allah Almighty decreed for them, for man to complete the covenant he gave, Allah waits for these wrongdoers or the God-fearing to complete their covenant within their lifetime.

They will complete what kind of people they are. As we said, the scenario is written. However many breaths that scenario is to be played out in the world, that person, as an actor, plays out his game. With the characters in him, with desire, with his wishes, with Allah Almighty's creative power, those causes (?). And man, through his actual deeds, what kind of person he is, proves. Yes. For this reason, to those who are wrongful against their own souls, Allah Almighty: Allah knows best the time of the wrongdoers' punishment, He decrees. That is, He waits for them to complete the wrongs they will do against their own souls.

Finally, according to the verse saying the return is to Allah, it is so as to leave people, against Allah Almighty, no gap at all through which to argue.
