Translation

And this is Our proof and We have given it to Abraham against his nation. We exalt the one who wishes from Us by degrees. Verily, your Lord is Hakeem (All-Wise) and Aleem (All-knowing).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) says that Allah (swt) supported Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham) spiritually with the proofs He brought to the people, without the people having the slightest justification against Allah (swt), and that Allah (swt) showed him the truth of His existence, that all created objects are the creations of Allah (swt), the existence of resurrection after death and the Hereafter, and the angelic realms, by angelic realms here is meant that Allah (swt) made Hazrat Ibrahim aware of the existence of the realms beyond death and showed him many exalted stations and places; The meaning of angelut here is that Hazrat Ibrahim was informed of the existence of the realms beyond death and was shown many exalted stations and places. Allah (swt) gave these proofs to Ibrahim against his people. For whatever Allah wills from His Essence, He fulfills the wishes of the people within their destiny. If people ask Allah for oppression, they will receive oppression, and if they ask Allah for guidance, they will receive Allah's guidance.

And whosoever asks Allah for Allah's guidance, Allah will raise them in degrees according to their faith. There is not an iota of injustice in the sight of Allah. People ask Allah (swt) for their desires, wishes and wills. Each human being, with his/her will, has asked Allah for what he/she wishes in proportion to his/her will, and Allah (swt) has written for them their destiny in proportion to their will. Some of them wished for evil and some for good. Allah (swt) creates events according to these wishes, and He holds the person as a witness to their deeds. Allah is the All-Knowing.

He knows what His creatures will do until the Day of Resurrection.

What is said in the video

Yes, in verse 83 of Surah Al-An'am there is a mistake. Let us correct that too; let's see what we said. Surah Al-An'am, verse 83.

These are Our proofs which We gave Abraham against his people, it says. Sir, We raise in degrees whomever We will. Indeed your Lord is All-Wise, All-Knowing, it says. This is Our argument, which We gave Abraham against his people, it says. These are Our arguments, which We gave Abraham against his people. What does it say here? These are Our proofs which We gave Abraham against his people. More or less the same. When it says 'We raise in degrees whomever We will,' it is: We raise in degrees whoever asks of Us. Whoever asks of Us. Here now 'We' takes in everyone. If it had made a distinction, that part would be right.

It made no distinction, and it says: We raise in degrees whomever We will. Because of this, for example, the saints to come too, those people who wish for Allah too — Allah would have willed them. He would have raised their degrees. The scholars too, the ulema too. It needed to make a distinction here. We — Allah Almighty wills the prophets. But when it says 'whomever We will,' everyone is included. Here the verse is explained wrongly. Yes. This is Our argument, which We gave against his people to Abraham. This one says it that way too. These are Our proofs which We gave Abraham against his people.

Because he was created as a prophet; it is our Lord's will. We raise in degrees whomever We will. Now here it becomes all-inclusive. When it says 'whomever We will,' the distinction would work here only if it said prophets. But since that part is general, it says: We raise in degrees whoever asks of Us. Yes. Surely my Lord is Hakim, Alim. That is, Hakim: the One who judges with justice. He does not commit injustice among people. He is Alim. The One who creates (?) thing, the One who knows everything in the best way.

Yes.

With the proofs Allah Almighty brought to people, so that people have against Allah Almighty not the slightest just claim left, 'this is Our argument, which We gave Abraham against his people' means that Allah Almighty supported Abraham spiritually and that to him the truth of His existence, that all created things are Allah's creations, that after death resurrection and the existence of the worlds of the hereafter were shown in the malakut. The meaning of malakut here: that Abraham was informed of the existence of the worlds beyond death, and that many lofty stations and places were shown to him. That the stations and their places were shown.

These proofs against his people Allah Almighty gave to Abraham. Because in Allah's essence, whatever anyone wishes — of the people who wish, He fulfils what they wish within their destinies. If people wish for oppression from Allah, (?) if they wish for guidance, Allah's guidance is what they attain. Do people wish for oppression? Hodja — well of course, you wish for oppression so nicely: what Allah does not want, what He said not to do, like gambling, like alcohol, like adultery, like cheating one another, like lying, like showing off, like gossip, like hypocrisy, like many administrators outside Islam — you live intertwined with such meanings, you adopt them, and if in that way you carry on your life — did you wish for the punishment, or did Allah wish for the punishment?

We said this before, before. A person commits a crime, a crime. Sir, they bring that crime, he is accused. They put him in prison right away, or bring him before the judge. The judge says: what did you do? The witnesses say: this man killed someone. Or he wounded a man. Son, why did you do it? Well, he did this to me, did that, did this and that. Bring me the evidence, he says — according to the evidence, he sentences him. He puts him in prison. Now, did the judge put him in prison? Or did the person get himself put in prison? Yes. So Allah Almighty is just. He wills oppression on no one.

With the proofs Allah Almighty brought to people, so that people have against Allah Almighty not the slightest just claim left, 'this is Our argument, which We gave against his people to Abraham' means that Allah Almighty supported Abraham spiritually and that to him the truth of His existence, that all created things are Allah's creations, resurrection after death and the existence of the worlds of the hereafter were shown in the malakut; the meaning of malakut here: that of the existence of the worlds beyond death Abraham was informed, and that many lofty stations and places were shown to him.

Yes. Here we'll say not 'makamlardan' but 'makamların'.

Yes.

And the showing of the signs. Allah Almighty gave these proofs to Abraham against his people. Because in Allah's essence, whatever anyone wishes — within the destinies of the people who wish, He fulfils their wishes. That is, this wishing is not opening your palm and saying, O Allah, give me this, or I'm going to kill that man, or I'll do this thing this way, that thing that way. That wish passing through your heart, your intention — if it is within destiny anyway, Allah Almighty creates causes for you.

And when you, your desire and wish within that destiny, (?), with those created causes put into action — if you did a bad deed, you get sin; if you did a good deed, you get reward.

There's that verse about people: 'You thought you would die without proving what kind of person you are' — isn't there? How will we prove what kind of person we are? (?), Allah Almighty will create causes. And we, carrying them out in actual deeds, will earn reward and sin. And what kind of person we are, we will make ourselves, those around us and Allah witness to it. If Allah's guidance is wished for, Allah raises them, in proportion to their faith, in degrees. In Allah's sight there is not an atom's worth of injustice. People have asked Allah Almighty for their desires and wishes, their aims.

With their partial will, each person, in proportion to (?), has asked Allah for their wishes. And Allah Almighty, in proportion to their aims, has made their destinies for them. Some made requests in the direction of evil, some in the direction of good. Allah Almighty, who creates events according to these requests, makes people, through their actual deeds, witnesses against themselves. Yes.

Allah Almighty is Alim; He is the One who knows what His creations will do until the Day of Judgment, it says.
