Translation

If Allah had desired, they would not associate partners (with Allah). We have not made you a guardian over them and you are not a protector over them.

Tafsir

If Allah had willed, no creature would have been able to associate partners with Allah. In one of His verses, He says, "If We had willed, We would have created you as one nation." Surely, according to this verse, whatever Allah wills, He is able to fulfill His will. So why did He not will? Allah has programmed all beings according to His will. He has left only humans and jinn free in their will. Therefore, there are rewards and sins upon them. Created beings other than human beings and jinn do not have good deeds and sins.

Allah (swt) willed that His Essence should be known through man. He gave man his soul and gave him his will. Since Allah willed that Allah's Essence should be known through human beings' own existence, without anyone, in any way, pressuring or oppressing them, Allah willed that human beings should live out their own wills on human beings. In this respect, He left people free in their will. Otherwise, if Allah had willed all people to know His Essence. No one could go beyond His will.

(We do not hold you responsible for those who disobey Allah and His Messenger and for the sins they have committed. You are not their representative. He says, "You will not be held to account for the deeds of such people on their behalf.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-An'am, verse 107.

Had Allah willed, they would not have associated partners. True. Because He is the Creator. He does what He wills. He creates as He wills. He is the Creator. Had He willed, they would not have associated partners. We have not made you a guardian over them, He says. That is, We did not give you such a duty, that you must bring them to Islam no matter what. Had We wished, they could not associate anything with Me, He says. You are not their trustee either, He says.

Now this is a very deep meaning; this goes deep. Here we — I think we wrote it briefly here.

The depth here: since Allah Almighty is self-subsistent, He willed that His Being be known. From His light, He created the light of Muhammad. Then He gave him of His spirit. And the qualities in that spirit became manifest in that person. Manifest. In this case, at the summit of His art of creation, Allah Almighty created a being He would hold as the addressee of His Being.

We as humans can hardly stay alone.

Even if we get used to being alone, still a person to talk to (?).

Our Lord, self-subsistent, willed to be known. The Creator (?). His greatness, His majesty, His knowledge — there had to be beings to proclaim them. And although He created the angels without nafs and without sex, and they remember His Being without ever tiring, nevertheless, giving a part of His Being, He wanted it to know the essence of His Being and to remember the essence of His Being — He wanted that. So the one of whom He said 'I took (?) as a mirror to My Being', (?) the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), He created. From his spirit He created the spirits of people, of prophets and of people.

In this case He wanted His Being to be known through His Being.

I am addressing those small minds in general. Let them never take us for adherents of the unity of being (vahdet-i vücut). We are not adherents of the unity of being. We are created beings. We are people trying to explain what Allah Almighty's art of creation is. Yes. So: had Allah willed, they would not have associated partners. He would have created as He wished. But He did not will such a thing. He would create a being that would know its Lord by its own will. It would know that it is a part of its Lord. It would know that it is endowed with some of its Lord's qualities. And it would know that it was created by its Lord and is in helplessness.

And it would trust the Owner who created the worlds, rely on Him, and remember Him by its own will. That is a great creation. That is man, whom He made honored above the worlds. Fuat, honored above the worlds. Not above some of the worlds. So as to make him honored above the worlds. Look how nicely Fuat's question comes up here too. Yes. In this case, in this case
