And thus, shaytan among the humans and shaytan among the jinn are enemies towards the Messengers. To deceive, they whisper fancy words among each other. If your Lord had desired, they would not have been able to do that. Now, let them alone with the things they have made up.
Tafsir
They whisper gilded words to each other to deceive. Had the Lord willed, they could not have done that either. So leave them alone with what they invent.
In the previous verses, we have said that people come into the world according to their own will, and they choose the times that suit their own nature. In every age and time, there are good and bad people in the world. Thus, as a mercy to these people, Allah (swt) has sent Prophets to guide them and shed light before them. In response to these evil people denying the Prophets and calling them soothsayers and sorcerers and leading people away from Allah, Allah (swt) says that these people are haunted by human and jinn devils, and He describes such evil people as human devils because such people follow the path of the devil, and even do things that are unthinkable to the devil. Then there are the devils of the jinn who seduce people and turn them against Allah and His Messenger. It is the misguided of the jinn and the rebellious of mankind who are enemies of Allah and His Prophets.
Moreover, there are the high and the low among the jinn. The evil ones among them work against the great ones among them, that is, against those who worship Allah, in order to lead them astray. They are the enemies of Allah, so they are the ones who are the devils of the jinn.
They whisper gilded words against each other in order to deceive each other and lead good people astray. They praise each other, flatter each other, satisfy each other's desires, and elevate each other with unthinkable compliments. If Allah had willed, they could not have done that either. There is nothing that Allah (swt) cannot rule over. If Allah had not permitted the evil deeds of human and jinn devils, many questions would have arisen.
The first of these is that Allah (swt) has left every human being free in his will and desire. If these evil-doing humans or jinn were to do evil, did Allah prevent their evil deeds because He could not prevent them, because He could not rule over them?
Secondly, when people use their wills, is it because God cannot rule over them, so He removed their wills from them, discriminated among His creatures, and prevented their evil by using His will over them?
Thirdly, Allah is free from imperfect attributes. He created the events of good deeds and sins for human beings, leaving them free in their own will. In this case, would not Allah be characterized by preventing them from doing evil? In this case, would not the events of good deeds and sins be eliminated, and would not hell also be eliminated? And many more questions like this, one after the other. Then everything becomes a mess. There is no deficiency in Allah's order. If there is any deficiency, it is in our minds. In this respect, since no one can defy Allah, He has left everyone free in his will, and finally everyone will be held accountable for what they have done in accordance with the verse, "To Allah is your return". For this reason, He continues His verse and says, "So leave them alone with what they have invented.
What is said in the video
Verse 112 of Surah Al-An'am. Thus, to every prophet the devils of mankind and jinn are enemies. To every prophet. They whisper gilded words to each other to deceive.
Had your Lord willed, they could not have done even that. So leave them alone with what they fabricate, it says. Upon every prophet enemies from mankind and jinn are set. Sir, here
why does Allah Almighty say: to every prophet the devils of mankind and jinn become enemies?
Satan says: I will set traps before the servants You created. I will keep them from coming to You, he says.
And to Allah Almighty: except Your sincere servants, he says. Your sincere servants.
Although His sincere servants are excepted, it is with them that he busies himself most, wondering whether he can lead them astray, because the accursed one busies himself with the servants Allah loves most; he does not go and busy himself with an unbeliever, because he has already lost his way; with the righteous servants he busies himself, with the prophets he busies himself. How do we know, Hodja, that with them he busies himself? Look, He says it in this verse, and what else does He say? When We reveal to a prophet, Satan, He says, into his heart — let him try to put temptation, temptation into it, He says. He will surely put some temptation.
But We, He says, firmly settle the revelation in Our servant's heart. The temptation Satan gives, He says, is annulled in him. That is, it is annulled in the person's heart. Why? They explained this wrongly too. Supposedly Allah annuls Satan's temptation, and then gives the revelation. That's how they explain the verse, too. When We give revelation to a prophet, Satan, He says, let him try to give him some temptation, He says. Let him try to put temptation into his heart. Allah says He settles that revelation firmly in the prophet's heart, and the temptation Satan gave is annulled in that servant's heart and is gone.
That is why Satan, most of all with those Allah loves, busies himself. He comes to approach him from every side. But wherever he approaches from, these servants whom Allah loves, the righteous servants, Allah's saintly servants — what do they resemble? The armour a person wears during a war; if you fire a bullet, you cannot pierce that armour. So when Satan tries to give temptation to the servants Allah loves, to those saintly servants, it hits that armour and bounces back. What is the armour? Allah's verses. Because of (?) those verses, Satan's temptation in that righteous servant's heart is annulled, and (?) is gone.
Yes.
Many temptations come to a person. Temptations. If a person does not know the verses, he cannot tell whether it is satanic, or from the nafs, or from the Merciful. If he does not know the verses.
Satan strikes a person through piety. He makes it look like it comes from piety. But people who know Allah's verses know that it is satanic. In the light of these verses, the temptation Satan put into his heart is annulled and gone. Yes. In the previous verses — finally, people coming into the world according to their own wishes — when I say according to their own wishes: Allah Almighty, in the Elestü bi- Rabbiküm address, while making a covenant with people, the times in which they will go He shows to people from time to time. Those times — whichever times please a person, those times people choose themselves according to their own characters.
And when the time comes, then people come into the material realm. Yes. We said they themselves choose the times suited to their own nature. So in every age and every time there are good and bad people in the world. The good and the bad. They will live. What does Allah Almighty say? Get out of Paradise — to Adam (peace be upon him). Go down to earth as enemies of one another. As enemies of one another.
Thus Allah Almighty, as a mercy to these people, sent prophets who would hold a light before them and lead them to guidance. To all people. We came into the world, didn't we; He will send them prophets. Allah Almighty never discriminates among His servants. The other day (?) was telling me, (?), I was very affected, he says. This he says. Tell people, he says; these superstitions, he says, have spread everywhere, he says. What is that superstition, I asked. The Hodja Efendi said, he says, a child is made a (?) or Magian, a Christian or Magian, by the parents, he said, he says. I said: what you say — in the Holy Quran (?), they explained it that way, I said. That man is a poor thing too; how would he know, I said, that Elestü bi-Rabbiküm.
How would he know that Allah Almighty made a covenant, how would he know that a child, while in the womb, is wretched or God-fearing; everyone who comes along tells superstitions. Superstition. Yes. Supposedly parents make their child wretched or God-fearing. Alas, alas, alas. Noah, a prophet, could not make his son (?). Just look at that. Yes. What kind of hodjas are these? How do they say such things like this without fearing Allah, ignorantly? I (?), I mean. Why did I say this? So that (?) words do not go unanswered. I thought I'd say it. Yes.
So these bad people, in return for denying the prophets and calling them soothsayers, sorcerers — whom? The prophets. Saying these are soothsayers, sorcerers, magicians, or possessed, madmen, insane, yes — and by saying so, in return for driving people away from Allah, Allah Almighty — upon these people the devils of mankind and jinn are set, upon these people, of course, because he tells the truth, yes, they are set upon them; these besetting people, as devils of mankind, it describes, we say. By saying they are set upon by the devils of mankind and jinn — such people, since they follow Satan's path, and even do things that outdo Satan and would never cross Satan's mind, such bad people as devils of mankind Allah Almighty describes.
Worse than Satan. Well, Satan gives you temptation, maybe you pay it no attention. But these two-legged devils — they are also called taghut.
They, the notables of the country, or the respected ones, or the employers, the aghas — what do they do? To those under them: Beware! Don't believe what they say. Today, the same events.
Under the guise of Islam, at the head of the sites they have set up, those ruled by superstitions take a stand against those who tell the truth. Well, what kind of Muslim are you? If today the Prophet (peace be upon him) came in the same way and told it, they would oppose him too. Indeed, when Hazrat Mahdi comes, those (?), (?) live the religion of Islam themselves. Yes. Let's look at that.
Yes. The devils, these two-legged taghuts — what do they say? Either he is an agha, or he has money, property. He hardly comes to Allah's right path. And then, at the head of Islamic sites, those who see themselves as holders of a certain privilege and by superstitions are ruled, when they see they are finished before those who tell the truth, immediately rear up. They try to oppose the truth, but how beautifully Allah Almighty says: the truth has come, falsehood has vanished. In this case, even if the Prophet (peace be upon him) came today and these very verses explained, they would oppose him too.
And when Hazrat Mahdi comes, likewise those under such a guise of Islam ruled by these superstitions will oppose Hazrat Mahdi too and wage war with them. War. But in the end they will be defeated. They will be defeated. And Hazrat Mahdi will spread Allah's religion. So who will be the first to oppose? (?). Indeed, when we explain the truth, the verses (?), (?) rise up.
Even if what they say were confirmed by a verse, a person (?).
So beside these two-legged people there are also jinn devils. The jinn devils both give temptation to humans, and these jinn devils to those of their own — that is, to jinn of their own kind — temptation they give. That is, they show them the bad path. Because among the jinn there are both the low and the lofty. By the low I mean the people of kufr; and the lofty, those who know Allah and the religion of Islam live. So their low ones, that is, those jinn devils, to those lofty jinn within their own community who are Muslim also give temptations. They try to lead them off their path.
The low among the jinn and the rebellious-spirited among people are enemies of Allah and of Allah's prophets. At the same time they are enemies of the righteous servants in the same way. Also, among this tribe of jinn there are, among themselves, the lofty and the low. Their bad ones, against the lofty among them, that is, against those who worship Allah, strive to lead them astray. Yes, what does the jinn say?
Today we listened to a Quran, he says, the Quran. It turns out, he says, our elder was brainless, he says, brainless; he was deceiving us. We used to think, he says, we used to think that our elders and people would not lie. That's what they used to think. And finally today we understood, he says, our brainless one was deceiving us. And in the face of the recited Holy Quran they became Muslims. That is, the Muslims among the jinn.
Yes.
Since such rebellious-spirited jinn are enemies of Allah, they too are called jinn devils. They too, to deceive each other and lead good people astray, whisper to each other gilded words. By praising each other, flattering their pride, satisfying each other's whims of the nafs, with unimaginable compliments they raise one another up. Had Allah willed, they could not have done even that.
Had Allah willed, they could not have done even that. Why didn't He will it, then? Didn't He pity His servants? Allah Almighty is very merciful. He is very compassionate. Because in the address Elestü bi-Rabbiküm He left people free in their will, between those who rebelled against Allah there and those who knew within their will He would make a distinction. In this case it is not befitting Allah Almighty's glory that, to one who denies Him, He should show bad paths. Someone was needed to show him the bad path too. So Satan stands before him. What was Satan going to do? He would turn him away from the path to Allah.
How will he turn him away? Within that person's character he will give them temptations, and those people, within those temptations, will turn their backs on Allah, and by the covenants they gave our Lord they will prove to themselves what kind of person they are. When he gives temptation to a God-fearing person too, since in that person, from Allah, (?) is not given, Satan's temptation, within Islamic sharia rules, goes against him; so he never follows his nafs and Satan's temptation or the word of the taghut of his own kind (?); he too, in Allah's ranks, takes his place. And those who take their place in Allah's ranks attain victory.
Yes.
As required by Allah Almighty's decree, had Allah willed, they could not have done even that. There was nothing over which Allah Almighty could not enforce His decree. If He wished, He would not let them do it, that is. Sir, had Allah not permitted the evils that the devils of mankind and jinn would do, many questions would arise in the human mind here. Had He not permitted. The first of these: Allah Almighty left every person free with his wishes and desires, in his partial will. If these people or jinn who will do evil, against the evils they will do — because Allah could not prevent them, could not enforce His decree — is that why He did not leave them free in evil?
Indeed. A person would say: Allah Almighty could not fully create man in his own will; although He left him fully free in his partial will, He could not fully give him the ability, and in this case He prevented those who would be his enemies. Whereas He created man very lofty, created him very capable, and created man able to overcome everything with his own will. In this case, the unseen Satan — although created within frequencies, although he circulates in people's blood vessels, although he gives every kind of temptation to man — that person resists that Satan. From Allah's verses he (?) and understands that it is that accursed one's, sir, temptation, and, within the framework of the verses, slaps it with a slap and sends it away.
Yes. That is man's capability. Whereas the unseen is stronger than the seen. But look at man's capabilities — how strong he is against that unseen. Yes. The second: while people use their partial will, is it because Allah could not enforce His decree on them that, removing their partial will from them, discriminating among His creatures, using His own will over them, He prevented their evils? Indeed, this time He would be preventing evils. Then Hell would also be abolished. So Allah created with such justice, with such a beautiful order, that He left everything to their own will; within their own will, every person will earn reward and sin by the deeds he does.
Tomorrow, on the Day of Judgment, when giving account in the presence of Allah Almighty, they will be separated.
Third: Allah is free from deficient attributes. Leaving people free in their own will, the matters of reward and sin for them He created. In that case, by preventing the evils they would do, would Allah not be ascribed deficient attributes? Although He left them free in their will, if Satan's or people's evils He had prevented, that is, if He had given them a proper loading, then there would both be will and Allah Almighty would have ruled over them. This too would have ascribed deficient attributes to Allah.
In that case, with reward and sin abolished, would the abolition of Hell too not come about? Many more questions like this line up in the mind one after another. And then everything becomes a mess. There is no deficiency in the order Allah established. If there is deficiency, it is in our minds. Deficiency. In our minds. Because He created our mind deficient. And in this case He created it in need of His essence. Yes. In this respect, since no one can oppose Allah, He has left everyone free in their will. And finally our return is to Allah. By the verse, everyone will be called to account for what they did.
In this respect, continuing the verse, His saying: so leave them alone with what they fabricate, that is: those devils of mankind and jinn, and the words they fabricate — you leave them alone among themselves. Why? Leave them alone.
My Beloved, you made your call. You fulfilled the command.
You cannot make the dead hear. You cannot make the deaf hear, He says; you cannot make the dead hear at all, He says. So in that pre-eternal barzakh, when Allah Almighty made the covenant, these, since they gave their covenant as rebels against Allah, are deaf and blind. These are the dead. Don't be with the dead, He says, you know, the dead. These are not the dead lying in (?). The living dead whose hearts have not found (?). That is, people outside the religion of Islam. Those inside the religion of Islam, even if asleep, are not dead and blind and deaf. Neither dead, nor blind, nor deaf. He is equipped with the light of the shahada, but he may be heedless.
Heedless. Yes.
