(Say); “Am I to look for a judge other than Allah while Allah is the One who has clearly sent down the Book?” Those whom We have given a Book know that the Qur’an is truly a Book that has been sent down by your Lord. Do not be among those who fall into doubt.

Tafsir

Say to those who seek another god besides Allah, shall I seek another arbitrator besides Allah to decide between us who is right and who is wrong? O Messenger! Those to whom the Book has been given, they know very well that there is no other God but Allah. But because of their stubbornness and arrogance, they turn their backs on Allah and try to prevent people from the Way of Allah.

Those to whom We have given the Book know very well that the Qur'an is the truth and that it is the Word of Allah, sent down by Allah. But arrogance and rebellion in their nature prevent them from turning towards the truth. Therefore, their deeds seem attractive to them and they continue in their enmity against Allah and His Messenger.

O Habibim! And you give them the truth in return for the blessings of this world, for gilded words, for fame and fortune, for status and position, and for the lies of the enemies of Allah, which they promise to people, and which they deceive people with their lies and make them doubt.

What is said in the video

Al-An'am Surah, verse 114: Say, shall I seek a judge other than Allah? Indeed, He is whole and perfect. Eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn. The judge of judges. So shall I seek a judge other than Allah? For our Lord, who created the worlds, who created us, and who placed our partial will in our hands, who gave us a spirit from His own Being, the Owner of this power and strength, the Owner of majesty, looking at the secret of creation, Allah Almighty, for whom it is enough to say Be when He wills to create something, being there, shall I seek another judge besides Him? Yes. Yet it is He who has sent down to you the Book clearly.

That is: I created your minds incomplete. I created you in need of My Being. So, while you could not see ahead with an incomplete mind, while you were in darkness, We sent you the Book. We held a light before you. As proof We sent prophets, We sent scholars, says Allah Almighty. Yet We sent down to you the Book clearly. He is the one who sent it down. Those to whom We gave the Book know that the Quran has truly been sent down by your Lord. Who are they? The people of faith. They know that the Quran was truly sent down by your Lord. How do they know? Because they know that there is not a single word in it that contradicts another, that Allah is true, that the prophets are true, that resurrection after death is true; these they know.

Because they know this, they recognise the word of the Truth in the words as well.

When the Quran came down, those of the People of the Book, when they heard the Quran, as confirming the books in their hands, when they understood it, tears would flow from their eyes. Yes, this is how a person with reason uses his reason.

Never be among those who doubt, He says. In fact, as if saying it to the Prophet, the word of our Lord (?), never be among those who doubt. Yes. For, He says, I sent you to a world of the unseen. That is, I sent you to a world where My Being is not seen. Even if in this world you fall into doubt from time to time, the light of the word of testimony, that faith strengthens you, He says. What is this like? In icy weather like this, the ground is slippery; while driving a car up a slope, the car sometimes skids. It stays where it is. That is the doubt. But if you keep climbing, it (?) makes its way up.

That is the strength of faith. Yes. There is no one who does not doubt, even among the people of faith, until they reach certainty. But never be among those who doubt. Even if it happens, do not fall for Satan's temptation. As a person of faith, you (?) in that faith of yours. Allah Almighty.

Say to those who seek another god besides Allah: to decide which of us is right and which of us is wrong, shall one seek another judge besides Allah? Which of us is right and which of us is wrong. O My Beloved! Those who were given the Book, they too know very well that there is no other god besides Allah, but because of their stubbornness and arrogance they turn their backs on Allah and try to hold people back from the way of Allah. They too know very well that there is no other god besides Allah. For they have the Book in their hands, and they look at it too. Then, then these, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) came from the tribe of Quraysh, just as they saw themselves as privileged, as human beings above other humans, since they despised the Arab people, in a prophet not from their own loins, their own lineage, they did not believe; they were seized by pride and arrogance.

Those fools could not understand that from Adam until the Prophet (peace be upon him), all the prophets were created from the spirit of the Prophet, and all people are indirectly created from the spirit of the Prophet. You (?) your own lineage and ancestry. You hold yourself to have a superhuman privilege. You see that you were created honoured above the worlds, and yet

Your ancestor (?).

If you deny your spirit, you turn back (?).

Yes. That is why they wear themselves out in their ignorance and remain there, in their ignorance.

But because of their stubbornness and arrogance, they turn their backs on Allah and try to hold people back from the way of Allah. That the Holy Quran is true and is the word of Allah sent down by Allah, those to whom We gave the Book know very well, says Allah Almighty. But the arrogance and rebellion in their nature are, for turning to the truth, an obstacle for them.

Back in that state of the covenant they turned their backs on Allah Almighty. Out of their own pride and arrogance they waited for the Lord of their own imaginings. Their state in that moment, that, and their own wishes were written for them as their destiny.

For this reason, the deeds they do seem attractive to them, and in their enmity to Allah and His Messenger they carry on. Everyone's own deeds seem attractive to him. Within his own dealings. Ask anyone: why are you doing this? Ask the one who acts with enmity: why are you doing this? Well, if he does this and this and this, I will do that to him. It looks good to him. Yet he is your brother too. If he did it to you, forgive. Forgive him. There is mercy in forgiveness. If you cannot master your nafs, then only retaliation (?). Do to him only as much as he did to you. Do not go beyond that. And you will have taken your due.

In this way you settle accounts. And the evils (?) are also removed. But see how people compete in evil. Just as Allah Almighty says: if someone greets you, greet him with a better greeting. That is, if someone says Selamun aleyküm to you, you say to him Ve aleyküm selam ve rahmetullahi. If he says Selamun aleyküm ve rahmetullahi to you, you say to him Selamun aleyküm ve rahmetullahi ve berekatühü; greet him with a better one. As He said, they too compete with one another in evil in this way. If someone does him an evil as small as the tip of a pin, he thinks of an evil as big as a sledgehammer against him.

He thinks of an evil as big as a mace. People have come to this state.

So these carry on in their enmity to Allah and His Messenger. O My Beloved, against these enemies of Allah, against the worldly blessings they promise people, against gilded words, fame and glory, rank and position, and against their deceiving people with their lies and casting doubt, you convey the truth to them. Tell them the truth, tell them about Allah. Yes.
