Tafsir
O people! Allah is free from imperfect attributes. He is complete and perfect. No created being can find any incompleteness in His words and deeds, nor can they find verses that contradict each other, saying that this verse contradicts this verse. Each Verse carries different meanings with different letters. Many secrets of creation and meanings are revealed by the combination of letters. This is in the knowledge of Allah.
Therefore, Allah is addressing people with this verse: O people! You will find no deficiency in the Word of Allah. His Word is complete in truth and justice. He is kind and merciful to His creatures. So leave the dark and marshy paths and listen to the Word of your Lord so that you may find life.
There is no one who can change His words. He invites people to His Essence, declaring that it is not possible for a human being to find error in His Verses. He is the One who hears and knows. He is omniscient and omnipotent.
What is said in the video
We will finish this. In verse 115.
The word of your Lord is complete in truth and justice.
Allah Almighty created this universe. He is free of deficient attributes. Whatever He said, He has fulfilled. And no created being can say of Allah Almighty's word: here You said this, and here it is like that. It cannot. For this reason the word of Allah, of our Lord, in truth and justice is complete. Who is as faithful to his word as Allah? With His verses. Words that always confirm one another. There is no one who can change His words. No one can change them. For that is the way of Allah from of old. Whatever He said, that is it. Yes. He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. When I say All-Hearing, not only the one who hears the words of Ahmet or Mehmet.
Not only the one who hears the words of those who speak of their Lord. He says: even if you went seven layers beneath the earth, even if inside strong and fortified castles you were,
even if you left your world, even if you went to the remotest corner of the universe, We would find you there. According to this verse, in the sight of Allah Almighty all these created worlds are not hidden or covered. Everything is manifest to Him. The darkness of night, with its pitch blackness, and the brightness of day are one to Him. Yes.
O people! Allah is free of deficient attributes. He is whole and perfect. No created being can find any deficiency in His words and deeds.
Just as they cannot find any deficiency, created beings, since they were created whole and perfect for the duties they were created for, cannot say: had I been like this, I would have done better at the duty I was created for. Because He is whole and perfect.
Allah, who creates everything consciously and without flaw.
And you cannot find verses that contradict one another, saying this verse goes against that verse.
You will find them. How will you find them? You will find them if you interpret incompletely, like this. If you interpret incompletely, you will find them. If you interpret wrongly, by your own reason: look, here it says this, and there it says that. Yes. For example, the other day someone, it comes to mind now. In one place: We made you honoured above the worlds. In another place He says: We made you honoured above some of what We created. Some. But weren't we made honoured above the worlds? So this means that, more than him, than man, there is something created more honoured. Now the verses contradicted each other.
How can they? But He gave from His spirit. And the spirit was the most honoured. The most honoured above the worlds. Then there are beings more honoured than His spirit, that is what it would mean. The whole Quran would be turned upside down.
If they interpret it like this, of course it contradicts. But in the verses of Allah there are no meanings that contradict each other.
Each verse, with its separate letters, separate meanings it carries. For example, alif, lam, mim, ta, ha, ya, sin: what they mean, we cannot know. These are called the disjointed verses. Apart from these verses, even though they are letters, these letters also appear within verses. A sentence, as we understand it, let's say a sentence, becomes a verse. It forms a verse. That verse both describes His Being, and that verse guides people, and that verse opens up meaning by meaning, and perhaps within that verse there is also a secret of creation that we cannot know. The keys of the unseen are with Allah.
Yes.
So each verse, with its separate letters, carries separate meanings. And through the letters coming together, many secrets of creation and meanings come to light. This too is in Allah's knowledge. We cannot know. Who knows, Hodja: in creation, in the Quran, whatever there is, wet or dry, is in the Quran, He says. With Us there is a Book that is preserved in the Preserved Tablet. Nothing is later added to it nor taken away from it, He says. So everything is within it.
So Allah addresses people with this verse, calling out to them. He calls out with this verse, and with every verse, and in this one there is also a separate call. What does He say? Look, O people, in the word of Allah you cannot find any deficiency. He is whole and perfect. Never attempt such a thing. I created your minds incomplete. Can an incomplete mind ever equal the universal mind? Can it see a deficiency in the universal mind, sir?
Yes, His word, in truth and justice, is complete. In truth and justice. If you see words in His word that do not agree with each other, this comes from your own deficiency, from the deficiency of your own reason, from the weakness of your own faith, from your own lack of knowledge, or from your having taken on superstitions, He says. Watch yourself, He says. Yes.
He is compassionate and merciful toward His creatures. For Allah does not separate His creatures from His Being. If He had said I, if I separated My creatures from My Being, then the whole universe would fall into chaos. That is why He says: We, the Most Majestic. And especially since He gave man from His spirit, gave a part of His spirit, throughout a person's life, even if he had a lifespan of a thousand years, a person, even if for a thousand years, denying Allah, he lived,
before the moment of death comes, before the soul reaches the throat, before the door of repentance closes, if that person said: My Allah, I have lived in ignorance, I have understood that You exist. Besides You I recognise no other god, and I regret what I have done, if he said (?) (?). Without having seen Allah, before the door of repentance closed, before the soul reached the throat, he said it in this way. Allah forgives him too.
But it is up to Allah, the Owner of justice. His punishment or his reward. Allah is this merciful. Yes, what does He say: if only they had known Me here; that is, if only you had said Allah once, He says, that is, know Me here, and they would remove that Hell from you; but their characters are constantly rebellious toward Allah, and as they see the punishment there, toward Allah Almighty, sir, their seething with feelings of hatred, their own (?) of their imaginings, waiting, and feelings of taking revenge on Allah have enveloped them within that frame. They cannot get out of that frame. Because their feelings and characters are like that.
In that case they are in Hell forever. Yes.
He is compassionate and merciful toward His creatures. So, people, leaving the dark and swampy paths, dark and swampy paths. What are the dark paths? Interest. Swindling one another. Forbidden deeds. Coveting one another's honour and chastity. These are the dark and swampy paths. Leave these and listen to the word of your Lord, so that you may find life. Listen to Allah. Listen to the word of Allah. There is no god but Allah. Every soul shall taste death, and your return is to Him, He says. To Me, says Allah Almighty. So where are you going? Where are you going? Today, if a thorn pricks your hand, you (?).
Well, by leaving your own self exposed to that fire, are you not competing in wronging your own self? Afterwards, regret is of no use either.
And there is no one who can change His words. That is, Allah Almighty has no partner. He has no equal or peer. That someone could say to Him: my namesake, he too is a god after all, my namesake, let it go, let us show mercy here. There is no such thing. Since there will be no change in Allah's way nor in His word, there is no one through whom His words will change. There is no one who can change them. What does He say? On that day the judgement is Mine alone, He says. Which day? (?) People misunderstand this too. The judgement is Allah's alone, it says. Not so. The judgement lies within people's own will, as long as they live, within their lifetimes; the reward and sin they earn by the decisions they make lie within man's judgement.
Allah does not interfere on that side. (?) taking on sin. But on that day, He says, the judgement is Mine alone. Because there is no judge, no arbiter besides Him. What does He say? The Judge. There is no judge besides Him. What is this Judge? Eleysallahu bi-ahkemi'l-hâkimîn, the judge of judges. That day. No one can change His word either. Because whatever He has said, so it is; then He has no namesake either. To Him, so that favouritism is shown to others. It is within that judgement.
All your affairs rest on our Lord's word.
Yes. So where are you going? What are you competing with? What filth are you competing with? If you turned to yourself, consulted your conscience with sound reason, had a talk with it, you would see how guilty you are. Like whom? Abraham says it too, doesn't he.
They say to Abraham: Did you break the idols? Ask that big one, he says. Maybe the big one broke them. That big one, they say, does not speak. It does not move, so how could it break them? When they said that. In the verse, what does Allah Almighty say: they said to one another, He says, You are the real wrongdoers, you. They said it, He says. But again they returned to their old deviation, He says. They moved to throw Abraham into the fire, sir. But his Lord, He says, made it cool and safe, He says. Now if people too used their reason, consulted their own consciences. O Hasan, Hüseyin, Ahmet, Mehmet.
O lady so-and-so, madam, where are you going? On that body of yours, which Allah does not want, tattoos you have made. So that others envy you, you uncover all your private parts. You put yourself on display to people. In the past, in the slave trade, when they sold women as slaves, when selling them, those men, their owners in that slave market, would put them on display. Now those women are like that slave; at least the slave was displayed by her owner. These put themselves on display. Yes. And it is not even a slave market.
Satisfying their nafs.
Well, does she not ask herself: where are you going? Even if she asked, look, we went over it in the previous verse: Satan and human jinn, He says. I mean, human and satanic jinn, they, He says, speak beautiful, gilded words to one another, He says. Falling for those gilded words, they see their own nafs as being right. But, God forbid, unaware of even a single verse of Allah, judging by their own reason, they try to see themselves as right. Who is it that makes this look so right? The human and satanic jinn. To whom? (?), to those people. Making it look right to them with those gilded words, they hold them back from the way of Allah and pull them to the other side. And what does Allah Almighty say to Satan?
O accursed one! If they follow you, take them, He says. I have given them to you. Now according to this verse, if He says take them, I have given them to you, a person who says I am a Muslim and yet strips naked and, even down to their private parts, gets tattooed and puts themselves on display, since they have turned to none of Allah's verses and have crossed Allah's limits too, now, is this person moving on Allah's path or on Satan's path? They themselves know: I am moving on Satan's path. So since He said take them, I have given them to you, how do you knowingly buy that Hell in this world? Do you not use your reason at all?
Yes.
Allah Almighty says (?) He will not call anyone to account.
We are announcing it. And there is no one who can change His words. And declaring that a person who could find a mistake in His verses is impossible, He invites people to His Being. He is the All-Hearing and All-Knowing; He has power over everything with His knowledge. Allah Almighty has power over everything with His knowledge. Yes.
