Translation

Is the person, who was dead and returned to life and has a light with which he can walk among people equal to the one who has remained in darkness and cannot ever escape it? This is how the deeds of infidels appear attractive to them.

Tafsir

If Allah sends Prophets and Books to people when they know nothing, and they become aware of the existence of their Lord and embrace the Verses of Allah, Allah puts His Light in their hearts. This person has embraced Islam. The Verses stand in front of him as a light and a guide for people. Human beings are created incomplete and faulty. Even though he may have studied and acquired knowledge, Allah is the owner of all knowledge. Human beings make deficiencies and mistakes in what they do in life. So when people are in distress, if they cling to the Verses of Allah and take them as their guide, they will be saved.

Since Allah (swt) created the human mind incomplete, if a person follows his own ego and follows the path of Shaytan, this makes the human heart dead. In one of the verses (do not be with the dead) it means people who are far from Allah and do not believe in Allah. So if people are far away from Allah and do not believe in Allah, the Last Day and resurrection after death, they are people who are deprived of the light of Allah and remain in darkness. Allah (swt) emphasizes this point. Is he like the one who has attained the guidance of Allah and has received the light of Allah in his heart, a light by which he can walk among people?

(This is how the disbelievers see their deeds as ornamental.) We have explained this Verse in the previous Verses, and we will briefly mention it here. (In Kalu Bela) the people who made a covenant with Allah (swt), whatever they desired from Allah (swt), Allah (swt) gave them their destiny in the direction they wanted. Because a person's character is in accordance with his destiny, because he desires disbelief, and because he is in touch with it, and because he considers the sins he has committed to be ornamental, he continues in his disbelief and holds himself up as a witness to the people and to Allah, in accordance with his covenant.

What is said in the video

SURAH AL-AN'AM, VERSE 122. This is a wrongly interpreted verse. First let's read the wrong one and see. What is the wrong one?

Al-An'am, Surah 122: "Is the one whom We revived when he was dead and to whom We gave a light by which he can walk among people like the one who is in darkness, remaining there, in a state never to come out of it?" it says. Like the one who would never come out of it?

Like the one in a state never able to come out of it? "Thus what the unbelievers do has been made to seem fair to them," says Allah Almighty. That is, what these do outside Allah's command, their deeds, have been made to seem fair to the unbelievers. Let's read it once more. "Is the one whom We revived when he was dead and to whom We gave a light by which he can walk among people, like the one who is in darkness, remaining there in a state never able to come out of it? Thus what the unbelievers do has been made to seem fair to them." If He made it seem fair like that, then what He showed would be a distinction, so that he would have carried out His command.

This person would be freed from this sin. Yes, the correct version is as follows:

"Is the one who, being dead, comes alive, comes alive and takes from a light by which he can walk among people, the one who takes from a light by which he can walk among people, that is, a person who takes Allah's light, like the one who remains in darkness, that is, who turns his back on the light and remains in darkness, in a state never able to come out of it? Thus the unbelievers see what they do as fair." Yes. How beautiful it is now. Here Allah Almighty is freed from being given attributes. What does it say? "Whom We revived when he was dead" — He revived him when he was dead. The others remain dead.

The unbelievers remain dead. Allah Almighty revives the Muslims when they were dead. "And to whom We gave a light by which he can walk among people." That is, He gives light to the Muslims. A person — there is a distinction here. Pay attention. Here there is a distinction among His servants. "Is the one whom We revived when he was dead and to whom We gave a light by which he can walk among people like the one who is in darkness, in a state never to come out of it?" They too are Your servants. Give to them too. Give to them too. So this part, up to here, is like that. The one who comes alive when dead — through what? Through Allah's verses — and who takes from a light by which he can walk among people.

Say, a person who takes from Allah's verses. Remaining in darkness, that is, turning his back on that, in a state never able to come out of it — is he like that? it says. Is he? What does it say after that? "Thus what the unbelievers do has been made to seem fair to them," it says. If it has been made to seem fair, then what He shows is lawful. What Allah Almighty shows. Whereas: thus the unbelievers see what they do as fair. They themselves. Here verse 17 of Surah Al-Baqarah is more or less expressed. What does it say?

"Their case, the case of the hypocrites, is like a fire burning in a dark night," it says. Like a fire that burns in a dark night. "It is like one who kindles a fire in a dark night," it says. If we read from here it's better; we wrote that one, too, corrected. Sir, what does it say in verse 17?

"Their case, the case of the hypocrites, is like one who kindles a fire in a dark night." Like one who kindles a fire. How would a hypocrite kindle a fire in a dark night? (?), so that it lights up that place. So that it lights up that place. This fire in the dark night is Allah's light. They interpreted this part wrongly too. "The case of the hypocrites is like one who kindles a fire in a dark night," it says. He kindled that fire. That is, this person found the paths of guidance for himself. He found the path of guidance for himself. Or he took the light coming from Allah, kindled the fire.

You can turn it around this way.

"As soon as that fire burns and lights up its surroundings, Allah at once takes away their light." Good heavens. Didn't You send the fire, or didn't he take his way from that fire and find it? Why are You darkening those people's way? Aren't they Your servants?

Can you see the shortcoming here now? Read this part once more. "Their case, the case of the hypocrites, is like one who kindles a fire in a dark night." He cannot kindle the fire. This one, too, is like a fire that burns. Fine, he kindled it. Let's say he took from Allah's light, lit himself up, entered Islam. So.

"As soon as that fire burns and lights up its surroundings, Allah at once takes away their light and leaves them in darkness. They no longer see anything." Just look at that. How they ascribe attributes to Allah. How they slander Allah. The verses are all like this. Most have been interpreted like this anyway. Whereas that is not the meaning of the verse. Now pay attention. "Their case, the case of the hypocrites, is like a fire burning in a dark night." Like a fire burning in a dark night. That is, Allah sends His light. "When the fire lights up its surroundings, those who put out the fire, those who put out the fire, leave themselves in darkness; they no longer see."

Everyone's covenant and wish has become his destiny; everyone will live his own destiny; if there is rebellion in his destiny, you cannot blame Allah. You cannot say Allah takes away their fire and leaves them in darkness. The Quran came to the worlds. To the worlds — this Quran came to the worlds. You cannot interpret the Quran, which came to the worlds, by making distinctions among Allah's servants like this. You cannot ascribe attributes to Allah. In this verse it is the same. What does it say? Sir, let's read that part once more.

Surah Al-An'am, verse 122. "Whom We revived when he was dead," it says. If You revived him when he was dead — we were all dead. The unbelievers are dead too. If You revived me as a Muslim, You revived him too. Is that so? According to that covenant. "Whom We revived when he was dead and to whom We gave a light by which he can walk among people — a person." That is, I gave them a book. Those I revived — I chose them for Myself, I set them apart. I programmed them myself toward the truth, and they were created as Muslims, and in this way I gave them that light, He says. Doesn't that meaning come out of this?

"Is the one whom We revived when he was dead and to whom We gave a light by which he will walk among people like the one who is in darkness and can never come out of it, the one in that state, like him?" it says. "Thus what the unbelievers do has been made to seem fair to them." Whereas the meaning of the verse: the one who comes alive when dead — through what? The one who finds life through the characters in his own nature, through Allah's light, through the words He has given, and who takes from a light by which he can walk among people, who takes from Allah's verses — is he like the one who remains in darkness, that is, turns his back on the Quran and remains in that darkness, in a state never able to come out of it? it says.

That is, who will not repent. And who was given the characters of an unbeliever in his nature, according to his wish and desire, according to what he wanted they were inscribed, and who will remain in that state — is he like such people? it says. Thus the unbelievers see what they do as fair. The unbelievers.

(?), that is separate too. Those who drown the light of faith in the darkness of shirk. That comes there as well. Yes. They part ways with them. Who are these? The persons themselves. I am trying to draw attention here. Whatever is done, Allah has sent its cause, created it. Whoever acts on it and takes from it finds the truth. Whoever turns his back on it remains in darkness.

Yes.

While a person knows nothing, Allah sends people prophets and books, and the person learns of the existence of his Lord. If he holds fast to Allah's verses, Allah places His light in his heart. Yes.

This person is honored with Islam.

The verses stand before him as a light and a guide, guiding people on the way. The verses, the guide, the light of faith — that is, as we said, by that person's believing in Allah and holding fast to the verses; and the verses — since Allah created our reason incomplete and shows us what is right — on that path, if we follow Allah's verses, that light guides us. That is, that verse guides us.

By creation, a person is created incomplete and fallible. Even if he has studied and acquired knowledge by reading, the possessor of all knowledge is Allah.

The possessor of all knowledge. Why? Because He is the All-Knowing.

The All-Knowing, the possessor of all knowledge — the All-Knowing, the possessor of all knowledge, is also capable of the secret of creation. Because it is all of it. Since He created these worlds, when we say "all", it also covers these worlds. These worlds. Since these worlds were brought into being from nothing, our Lord also encompasses the secret of creation within that all-encompassing knowledge of His. Yes. The All-Knowing, the possessor of all knowledge.

In what he does in life, a person makes shortcomings and mistakes. When people fall into hardship, if they hold fast to Allah's verses and take them as their guide, they reach salvation. Only when they fall into hardship? Yes, some — most — do that when they fall into hardship. But actually a person must conform his life to the verses. Why did we say this, why did we give this comparison? "They," it says, "in a dark night," it says, "on the oceans, wave upon wave, a pitch-black darkness." Almost, it says, in a state where if he put out his hand he could see it. "They turn to Allah at once," it says.

"'If You bring us safely to land,' it says, 'we will be like this, we will be like that,' they say," it says. "But after they reach land they at once return to their old state," it says. Yes.

Since Allah Almighty created human reason incomplete, if a person follows his own nafs and takes Satan's path, this person kills his heart. That is the verse "Do not be with the dead", (?). Do not be with the dead. Not the dead in graves, but people whose hearts (?), who live outside Islam or turn their backs on Islam.

Yes.

In a verse: "Do not be with the dead." By this are meant people far from Allah who do not believe in Allah. So if persons are far from Allah and do not believe in Allah, in the Last Day, in resurrection after death, these people are deprived of Allah's light, people who have remained in darkness, people whose hearts are dead. That is, they are the living dead.

Emphasizing this point, Allah Almighty says: is the one whom Allah has guided and in whose heart He placed His light, the one to whom We gave a light by which he can walk among people, like…? it says. The one who has benefited from Allah's light and, among the people who remained in that darkness, with his Lord's verses, on the sirat al-mustaqim — not the Sirat bridge, but on the sirat al-mustaqim, that is, (?) — walking with his feet firmly on the ground, the road he will take safe, and whose end is a road that leads to salvation — is the person on that road like the person living in the swamp?

it says. In the swamp. Yes. Thus the unbelievers see what they do as fair. That is, as we said before, like the oleander flowers that bloom in swamps. Like oleanders. And saying "I'm living", to throw off the turmoil and depression in their hearts, that stress, people who make every kind of filth outside Allah's command their way — drinking, gambling, fornication — people dragged along chasing them. Yes.

In this way, the turmoil and stress in their hearts, with the effect the alcohol gives, with drugs, and by living outside Allah's command, satisfying their momentary pleasures of the nafs, thinking they are living, those lives seem fair to them, just like this. "I'm living," and what does it say? Because they are in constant depression and stress, their lives are a dungeon to them.

For this reason they are dragged along chasing the desires of the nafs. And Satan has put a lasso around their necks. He has led them astray so that they go even further into the middle of Hell, so that they rebel against Allah in full defiance, and those who show them the way so that people subject their nafs to punishment, and on that road, thinking they are living, (?) that road — poor people. This verse, too, we explained in the previous verses. If we touch on it lightly here too: at Qalu Bala, people who made a covenant with Allah Almighty — whatever they wished from Allah, Allah gave their destiny in the direction they wanted.

Since the person's characters suit his destiny, because he desires unbelief and is intertwined with it, and because he sees the sins he committed as fair, by continuing his unbelief according to the covenant he gave, he holds himself, those around him and Allah as witnesses.

Since we wrote it for the general public, we wrote it briefly like this. Yes.

"Their hearts," it says, "are restless and scattered," says Allah Almighty. In this case these (?) are not honored with Islam either. If they turn their backs on Allah's light and leave themselves in darkness, then in that darkness, so that people can find life, by acting in the direction their own nafs desires, filth that Allah does not want comes about, and these are unbelief itself.
