Translation

“Oh you assembly of jinn and humans! Did Prophets not come from among you, who have explained to you My verses and warned you about facing this Day?” They say; “We bear witness against ourselves.” The worldly life has fooled them, and they have borne witness against their own denial.

Tafsir

On the Day of Judgment, on the Day of Reckoning, Allah (swt) will address the demons of the jinn and the oppressors of mankind, saying, "Did not a Prophet come to you from amongst you, telling you My Verses and warning you of this day? You disbelieved in Allah by being deceived by the life of this world. You said this is an old wives' tale that you will reach this day.

These groups of men and jinn bear witness against themselves. Because their deeds are shown to them. They admit that they are disbelievers because they have nothing to object to, because the life of this world is attractive to them, because they do not want to believe in the Hereafter and in the commandments of Allah.

What is said in the video

Of Surah Al-An'am, we have come to verse 130. "O company of jinn and mankind! Did there not come to you messengers from among you, telling you My verses and warning you that you would meet this day?" What does it say? O company of jinn and mankind, did there not come to you messengers from among you, telling you My verses and warning you that you would meet this day? They say: we bear witness against ourselves. The life of the world deceived them, and they bore witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. Against themselves. What does it say? Yes, my Allah, they came. We denied them.

What did they say? We denied them. Then, today, they say, is there no return to the world once more?

And Allah Almighty: even if We sent you back not once but several times more, you would (?) do it. Why? Because people's minds do not reach this, a person thinks: when one sees the punishment there, would he do that again? Right? He says this. His mind does not grasp it. Because he does not know what the verses at the root are. In that realm of lahut, when our Lord created our souls, He made a covenant with them. Then the person who saw Him as like himself, out of arrogance and pride, denied Allah who created him. He had that pledge, his destiny, his wish written that way, and had such characters instilled in himself.

Characters. There, though that person saw his Lord and did not believe, because he knew Him as one responsible for him, responsible, or one in charge. And that one in charge was supposedly their enemy, an enemy to these disbelievers. Thinking He would take revenge on them, realizing He would do them such wrong, they would supposedly deceive with their tongues Him, that is, Allah who created them. What do they say? Is there no return to this world once more, so we may worship You? And what does our Lord say? Even if We sent you back not once but several times more, you would do the same thing. Why? Your characters do it.

Because in your time you denied Me. Even if you went there, We would again close these things of yours, your sight, We would. Again We would start you from zero in the world. Again, within your own destinies, your characters, you would do the same thing. The same. Because I have placed partial will before you. Well, instead of wishing for the world, instead of that wishing. You know, they say, is there no seeing, going to the world once more. Instead of that, that wishing of yours. Why? Don't you say: my Lord, truly You were my Lord. I could not know. If you said that, you would come to what this verse means.

"If only they knew Me here," He says. If only they knew Me. This verse too they interpreted wrongly. What does it say? Here, when they see the punishment, it says. If only they had known in the world, it says. Before even seeing that punishment. If only they knew here, it says. Even though they see the punishment. If only they knew. Not in the world. Not beforehand. The verse does not say beforehand. It says: if only they knew here when they saw the punishment. There too they cannot know. What does it say? When burning with fire in Hell: O Malik, tell your Lord to lighten the fire on us a little. Malik, tell your Lord — they cannot say "our Lord".

Yes. So in this case people, people will bear witness against themselves. Against themselves, and in this case all those non-Muslims who go to the hereafter denying their Lord, since their characters will not change, will stay there as eternal people of Hell. Eternal people of Hell.

Some verses like this, without going into much commentary, since we are explaining them anyway. Briefly, it is already within the meaning. We closed these with a few lines. (?) on the Resurrection, on that day of reckoning, to the jinn devils and the wrongdoers among people, Allah Almighty speaks: did there not come to you a messenger from among you, telling you My verses and warning you that you would meet this day? Deceived by the life of the world, you denied Allah. You said that meeting this day is the tales of the ancients, He says. Tales of the ancients. Well, now we say. Allah forbid. Suppose the Prophet came and said to me: there is no god but Allah.

These idols are all servants created by Allah. Return to Allah, he says. And I say to him: our forefathers also said what you say, this is the tale of the ancients — if I say that, when I say tale of the ancients, if I know that the ancients too were destroyed, then this word he speaks, is it a word he speaks using his reason? He says tale of the ancients. And he also knows what happened to the ancients. What happened? The people of Ad, the people of Lot, the people of Salih, the people of Pharaoh. All were destroyed and gone. No works of theirs remained in the world. Traces of some remained. Of the people of Lot. What does it say? Did they not see those traces, it says, on their roads.

So (?), that is, when Allah Almighty our souls — when Allah Almighty created them and made a covenant with us, what does He say? Surah Al-A'raf, verse 172. Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Ve iz ehaze rabbüke min benî âdeme min zuhûrihim zürriyyetehüm ve eşhedehüm alâ enfüsihim e lestü bi rabbiküm. He says: with the offspring of the children of Adam, with those who will (?), We made a covenant that We said: We are your Lord. Your Lord. In that case, if Allah Almighty made a covenant with us and, leaving us free with our will, wrote our own wish for us as our destiny, then for the actual deeds we will do, Allah Almighty is in no way responsible.

We are directly responsible for what we do, and at the supreme court, in the presence of Allah Almighty, when we are called to account, what does He say anyway? O company of jinn and mankind! Did there not come to you messengers from among you, telling you My verses and warning you that you would meet this day? They came. Well, if they came, if they came, since we, by the actual deeds we did, will receive reward and sin, Allah Almighty over us, "Eleysallahu bi ahkemi'l-hâkimîn", as the judge of judges, today, He says, without wronging anyone, what everyone earned will be given to him in full, in return for (?) — according to the verse in which He says this, what does our Lord do?

He calls us to account there and sends everyone to the place they deserve. Yes. These communities of men and jinn bear witness against themselves. Because the deeds they did are shown to them. Since they have no grounds left to object, since the life of the world appealed to them, their unwillingness to believe in the hereafter and in Allah's commands, and that they are therefore disbelievers, they admit and accept. We said Allah Almighty has the attribute of Godhood.

What is this attribute of Godhood of Allah Almighty? Without favoring anyone, without pressuring, everyone will be cut off from the question he would ask. The reason? The reason is that Allah Almighty, for all that those people did, the things they would ask about in return, through actual deeds He will have had them carry out. Those people, with those deeds, in order to prove their own existence, that is, themselves, will have proven throughout their whole lives what kind of person they are, and in this case they will have no question left to ask before Allah Almighty.

That is what Allah Almighty says: did you think, without proving what kind of person you are, that you would die, He says. Yes.
