Translation

That which has been promised to you will surely occur; you cannot prevent this.

Tafsir

What Allah (swt) means by this verse (what is promised to you will surely come) is all of Allah's promises to mankind. We cannot connect this verse to a single promise that Allah (swt) has promised to mankind. When He says (what is promised to you will surely come), it means that death is promised to mankind. This will happen to people, after that, the life of the grave, after that the Day of Judgment, the Judgment Day and the Day of Reckoning. After the reckoning, paradise and hell. This is what is promised to people. These things will surely happen to people. (You cannot prevent it.) There is no human being who can prevent this course and go beyond this promise of Allah. Just as we were taken to the realm of Berzah after our spiritual creation, in covenant with Allah, and we waited in the realm of Berzah until the time when we would come to the world, and then when the time came when we would come to the world, we came to the world at that time, following this course, and we could not prevent these things, we will not be able to prevent Allah's promise in the future. Surely, since Allah's promise is true, these things will come to pass. Allah (swt) declares His power and might to mankind by means of many parables in the same verses, one after the other, one after the other, and advises people to turn towards guidance.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-An'am, verse 134: What you are promised will surely come, and you cannot prevent it, it says. What are we promised? That our life will come to an end, that was promised. One day it will end. Then one day the Day of Judgement will come. This too was promised, what you are promised. Then one day the gathering will take place. That is, we will be resurrected in the hereafter. Then at the Great Court, in the presence of Allah Almighty, account will be given. Then, after that reckoning, paradise and hell will begin. These are what we are promised. These promises will certainly come. Again in a verse He said: every soul will taste death, and your return is to Me.

The continuation of the verse says: what you are promised will surely come, you cannot prevent it; it is impossible. Allah Almighty: what you are promised will surely come. What is meant by this verse is all of Allah's promises to people, all of His promises. This verse, Allah Almighty's promises to people, we cannot tie to a single promise. That is, we cannot tie what He promised will come to death. To a single death or a single Day of Judgement, sir, a single gathering. All these are events lived one after another in time, our Lord's promise to us. When it says what you are promised will surely come, what is promised to people is death.

This will befall people. After this, life in the grave, then the coming of the Day of Judgement, the gathering and the Day of Reckoning. And after the reckoning, paradise and hell.

Yes. These are what people are promised. These will certainly befall people. Because Allah's word is truth. And whatever Allah says, so it will be. Because if He says of the Beloved of the Almighty, Muhammad (peace be upon him), that he does not speak idly, then Allah Almighty never speaks idly. What does He say in another verse? Who is truer to his word than Allah? Yes.

These will certainly befall people. Because Allah's word is truth, and whatever Allah says, so it will be. You cannot prevent it. There is no person who could prevent this verse, this course. Prevent his death. Prevent the Day of Judgement. Prevent the journey to the grave, his state in the grave. Prevent being resurrected for the gathering. Prevent being called to account at the Great Court. Prevent his entering paradise or hell. All of it is in our Lord's hand. Yes, you cannot prevent these, it says.

There is no person who can prevent this course and step outside this promise of Allah. Just as, after our (?) creation, we made a covenant with Allah and were taken up to the realm of barzakh. We waited in the realm of barzakh until the time we would come to the world. Then when the time came for us to come to the world, we came to the world. If, following this course, we could not hinder these, then Allah's next promise too if, following this course, we could not hinder these, then Allah's next promise too we will not be able to hinder. Since Allah's promise is certainly true, these will come about.

Allah Almighty, one after another, with the same verses, through many comparisons, declares His power and might to people and urges them to turn to guidance. Yes.
