Translation

And as such, their partners have made it appealing for many among the idolaters to kill their children (daughters). Thus, they destroy themselves and that they corrupt and spoil their religion. If Allah had desired, they would not have been able to do that. So, leave them alone with what they have fabricated.

Tafsir

When idolaters, out of pride, greatness and arrogance, bury their daughters alive in order to present themselves as a being in the society and to be mentioned with praise, and then sacrifice their daughters by swearing oaths in the name of the idols they worshipped, as if they had done something great and heroic among their people, so that people like them would praise them, and when the devils make what they do look good by tempting them, these idolaters both ruin themselves and increase their disbelief by turning away from their religion.

When a person makes a bad covenant with Allah. These enemies of Allah bring to light events that even Satan could not think of, and by going beyond the limit in tormenting and tormenting people, they not only lead the way in disbelief, but also increase their cruelty towards their own souls.

(If Allah had willed, they would not have been able to do that.) Allah did not create His creatures outside His sovereignty. He created all of His creations in such a way that they can be subject to His sovereignty. In this respect, with the value He has given to man, He has left man free in his will. Allah (swt) has written the desires and wishes of people as their destiny without objection. If only these people, those who live this disbelief, knew that by leading in disbelief and persecuting people, they are proving their covenant with Allah, while in fact they are persecuting their own souls.

The atrocities committed by the pioneers of disbelief with the opportunities available to them will pass away in this transitory realm of property, for everything is fleeting. But since the life of the Hereafter is eternal, if you could only imagine the fear and horror it causes a person when he realizes that the recompense for his wrongdoing is eternal in the Hereafter, and that there is no salvation and no destruction, and that he will have no intercessor or helper there on a Day when he will have no intercessor or helper.

Since every soul comes to the realm of property to bear witness to Allah, the world around it and itself, Allah has left people free in their wills. The oppressors and such people increase the oppression of their own souls in the Hereafter by their oppression and cruelty.

(So leave them alone with what they have invented.) When Allah, Who has written for them the covenants that the pagans and the enemies of Allah have made, and what they have asked of Allah as their destiny, says to His Messenger, in fact to the scholars and their heirs, and to Islam, (leave them alone with what they have invented), they are not going to change their covenants. Nor will they themselves cease to rebel against Allah. So, O you who believe! Do not follow their way and do not pay attention to what they fabricate. In this transitory and mortal world, let them be occupied with what they fabricate. Surely your Lord is the Owner of justice. The Day He has promised will come. Every soul will surely be rewarded for what it has done.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-An'am, verse 137: Likewise their partners, it says, that is, the idolaters; likewise their partners means the idols the idolaters worshipped, their partners. To many of the idolaters they made killing their children, that is, their daughters, seem fair, for they buried their children alive in the ground, Allah protect us,

so that they both ruin themselves and confuse and corrupt their religion. Their religion. When we say religion, religion is only one. It is Allah's word. The others are people's own ideologies. When it says let them confuse their religion, it means let them fill Allah's religion with superstitions. That is, Satan makes this seem fair to them. By killing their daughters, let them confuse their religion. That is, so that, mixing Allah's religion with their own ideologies, Satan may pull them to hell, the place of eternal torment, laying traps on their paths, and drag them to destruction. So that they both ruin themselves and confuse and corrupt their religion.

Had Allah willed, they could not have done this, it says. Here, the meaning of had Allah willed they could not have done this, what is it? This too points to one thing: Allah Almighty gave people partial will and, through the actual deeds people do by their own will, so that they prove what kind of people they are, sent them to the world. There is a book with Us, He says, kept in the Preserved Tablet. Afterwards nothing is added to it nor taken from it, He says. In this case, since Allah, Allah Almighty, will no longer will anything again, and since He created people the most honourable above the worlds, since He created them, our Lord here does not remove partial will from people, and does not, using His own will, to prevent them from doing (?), make any intervention.

In this case, by the actual (?) they do, people themselves earn reward and sin. This is people's great worth in Allah's sight, and with the rewards and sins people do by their own will, their being called to account before Allah Almighty. So had Allah willed, they could not have done this. So leave them alone with what they invent, it says. So, since We will no longer will again, will over people, or make any change in the book with Us, leave them, He says, let them keep busying themselves with their superstitions. You have done your duty, He says to the Prophet. O My beloved, you have done your duty.

You made My command heard to them. You made known that there is no god but Allah. But they, saying tales of the ancients, out of their carnal pride and arrogance, when they killed their children, as if they had done a great deed among their people, boasted among themselves of slaughtering those children; leave them, He says. Let them go on amusing themselves in their superstitions. Until We ask them for what reason did you kill these children, He says. Yes.

The idol worshippers, out of pride, grandeur and arrogance, presenting themselves in society as someone, were gripped by an inferiority complex. These. Each other's: this nafs in a person, pride and arrogance: look, I do it like this, or I do it like that, I am like this, sir,

I am a man, I do deeds like this; doing deeds Allah does not want, boasting on the paths of kufr Satan shows them, boasting, in pride and arrogance presenting themselves in that way, presenting themselves as great, as strong. Their pride and arrogance make them do this. Now an incident comes to my mind.

At the Battle of Badr one of the Companions says: O Messenger of Allah, I killed Abu Jahl.

He sends someone to see whether he really killed him; he says he has not died yet, but he is half alive; the Companion who came informs the Prophet. And the Prophet says, who will go to kill him? Abu Salim, probably; he was very short, short in stature. Give him to me, O Messenger of Allah, he says, give him to me, let me kill him. All right, he says, go and kill him. When he comes to Abu Jahl, he says, recite the testimony of faith. Until now I have never recited the testimony of faith, he says. Shall I recite it now, after that? he says. You, he says, did Muhammad, searching and searching, he says, send a dwarf like you to me? he says.

When he again says recite the testimony, don't talk too much, he says. If you are going to kill me, he says, cut my neck lower down, close to the body, he says, so my head looks big to him, he says.

Look, so my head looks big to him. Look at the pride and arrogance in this. Of course, Abu Salama strikes with the sword and takes off his neck. Yes. These are people living like this in pride and arrogance, in grandeur. Let us take this part from the beginning again now. It will be understood better, God willing. The idol worshippers, out of pride, grandeur and arrogance, to present themselves in society as someone and to be spoken of with praise, burying their daughters alive in the ground, and then, as if having done a great and heroic deed among their people, with people like themselves praising them, swearing oaths in the name of the idols they worshipped, sacrificing their daughters.

And with the devils making their (?) seem fair to them, these idol worshippers both ruin themselves and, moving away from their religion, increase their kufr. Their kufr.

Yes. Before Islam, in the times before Islam came, those ashamed of daughters, those who went to the mountain when they got news of a daughter, those who in a remote corner of the house hid, thinking they would face their people in disgrace, those who tormented themselves and went away from home, these. And some would take their children, their daughters, their daughters, and alive bury them.

Yes. People with no respect for the mothers who bore them. These.

Let a person only give Allah a bad covenant. These enemies of Allah bring about things that would not even occur to Satan, overstep the limit in tormenting and oppressing people, both in kufr and as leaders of kufr, and increase their wrong against their own selves. Yes.

Had Allah willed, they could not have done this. That is, surely, since Allah Almighty has no willing over people, He did not will it. Because He left partial will to people. Now here I want to remind you of something too.

I believe this is deliberate. Since the beginning of the Republic, in the interpretation of the Quran, partial will was removed from people. They tied it to Allah Almighty. If Allah wills, He does it like this. Allah puts whom He wills into paradise. Allah puts whom He wills into hell. Allah does not, sir, accept the repentance of unbelievers. That is, many matters, in this way, attributing them to Allah, they patched on. These are people who do not know where Allah's willing is and where Allah's willing is not. Here there is Allah's willing. What is it? Had Allah willed, they could not have done this.

Allah the Creator: just as He created people, leaving them free in their will, and wrote their aims and destinies according to their wishes and desires, sir, as a destiny for them, if He placed their characters upon their destinies, then surely, if He wills, He acts as He wishes, in the way He wishes, on people. Hodja, bring a verse for what you say: is there a place where He acts on this person? Of course there is. When you enter paradise, We will give you a new upload, He says. We will tear the grudges out of your hearts, He says. The grudges. Yes. In this case people so ignorant of where Allah Almighty's willing is and where it is not, people who attribute qualities to Allah, saying (?) in Arabic.

Here, Allah's willing. Had He willed, of course we could not have done these. Sir, Allah Almighty did not create His creatures outside His rule. He created all the beings He created so that His rule prevails over them. He has the attribute al-Hayy. The attribute al-Hayy. What does this attribute al-Hayy mean? That He gives life to all His creatures, from the atom to the globe, while Allah Almighty needs nothing from His creatures.

Here Allah Almighty's attribute of being Allah lives intertwined with the attribute al-Hayy. The attribute al-Hayy. From Allah Almighty's attribute of being Allah: whatever He created, from the atom to the globe, according to the wishes and desires of those living beings, creating means, without forgetting them, without a single second of absent-mindedness, Allah Almighty both gives His creatures their sustenance and, as to what actual deeds they will do, makes them, makes people, witnesses against themselves. This is Allah's attribute of being Allah. Yes, Allah Almighty did not create His creatures outside His rule.

He created all the beings He created so that His rule prevails over them. In this respect, with the worth He gave man, He left man free in his will. Allah Almighty, without objection, wrote people's wishes and desires as their destiny for them. So these, these who live kufr, leading in kufr, oppressing people, proving the covenant they gave to Allah, if only they could know that, besides this, they are really doing wrong to their own selves. To their own selves. Where did he do the wrong? Where did he rebel? At the covenant of Alastu bi-Rabbikum. When Allah Almighty created our souls, as we always say, He created people as a part of His spirit.

As a part of His spirit. And at that covenant of Alastu bi-Rabbikum, with Allah Almighty appearing exactly in human form, appearing exactly in human form, and the Prophet beside Him, when our Lord said I am your Lord, people, out of pride and arrogance, could not believe in Allah Almighty. They waited for the Lord of their own imagination.

In this case Allah Almighty, without pressuring or cornering any of them, leaving them free in their own will, their wishes and desires as their destiny He wrote. Here some people who pass themselves off as scholars, people who appear as ulema, say: he speaks of the Truth, of Allah, in human form, this man. This man speaks of the Truth in human form, they say. This proves how unaware of himself he is, and that he is not the holder of those stations.

So that my words are well understood: some people are newcomers. These picture Allah Almighty as a figure of their own imagination within themselves. I say this as an introduction for newcomers and also as information for such people.

If Allah Almighty gave the Prophet from His spirit, gave from His spirit, if He created all the prophets from the Prophet's spirit, and the souls of their peoples, the souls of the prophets' peoples, He created from the prophets' souls, then indirectly all people were created as a part of their Lord, as a spirit. In the universe, spirit is only in man. In this respect he is the most honourable above the worlds. Above the worlds. This is one. Into Jesus I breathed of My spirit, He says. Allah says it, not I.

A word from Him, it says, doesn't it? Yes. Yes.

When He made Adam's body from clay, when He breathed into him of His spirit, prostrate to him, He says. Prostration. Whereas prostration is made to Allah. Prostration is to Allah. Why does Allah Almighty have them prostrate to Adam? Because he is the noblest of created beings; while he is in the state of a body, without giving him life, He does not have them prostrate. Only when He gives the spirit, the spirit, after giving the spirit, He says prostrate. The accursed one: You created him from clay and me from fire. Whether clay cleans fire, it does not. But fire cleans clay, he says; with a game of logic he does not prostrate to Adam.

If he had prostrated to Adam, in reality not to Adam but to a spirit in Adam, to that part, since he would have prostrated so, he would have prostrated to Allah. Yes. In this respect, since there is spirit in man too, He has man prostrate to no being; He has him prostrate only to His Self. He has him prostrate only to His Self. That is, the prostration of the part to the whole. That is, the prostration of Allah Almighty's Self to His Self. Man is such an honourable being. Yes. But people who cannot believe these, cannot grasp them, forget believing, cannot grasp them, say (?). This man, Allah, (?), they say.

Yes, you know, they don't say; as if to make it sound like Arabic, they say (?). They speak of Allah Almighty. By saying this he proves where he himself stands. I also call out to this man like this, and not only to this man. To such logical, sir, illogical people: I wonder, if such people are at the head of a group leading that group, have they ever seen the Prophet?

Have they ever seen him? He will give me exactly this answer: Oh, whoever saw him, he says, is done. Where, he says? Where would we see him, he says. Then you are not fit for it. You are not fit for that group. You, before even seeing the Prophet (peace be upon him), without knowing what you are, with a bit of Arabic, with the people around you making you popular, seeing the world as (?), fitting the religion of Islam into your own mind and telling people superstitions: that is wrong against your own self.

Yes. A person should know his place. His place. Look, I know my place. I say I cannot teach Arabic, because I do not know it. I cannot teach Arabic writing, cannot teach writing. I read it, but I cannot teach writing. It is not my profession. Well, if you teach Arabic writing, teach Arabic writing, teach the children, good. If you know Arabic, teach Arabic, that is good too. But know your place, your place. But when it comes to the verses, do not attempt to give meaning. That is beyond you. So, fitting it into that small mind of yours, do not slander those who give meaning, in contradictions, before people.

We are giving advice to a person now. Yes. What was it? Allah Almighty did not create His creatures outside His rule. He created all the beings He created so that His rule prevails over them. In this respect, with the worth He gave man, He left man free in his will. Allah Almighty, without objection, wrote people's wishes and desires as their destiny for them. Without objection, He wrote them as their destiny. So these, these who live kufr, leading in kufr, oppressing people, proving the covenant they gave to Allah, if only they could know that, besides this, they are really doing wrong to their own selves.

The wrongs the leaders of kufr have done with the opportunities in their hands, in this passing realm of possession, since everything is mortal, pass away. The leaders of kufr, those who at certain levels govern people and oppress them, those who sit on Allah's straight path wanting to lead them astray, without recognizing right and law, trampling their rights and law, stepping on their shoulders, raising themselves up in the world, those who are porters of the world. Yes, since this world is a passing place of trial, for a few hours of pleasure, compared to the life of the hereafter, they turn their eternal home into a home of torment.

But since the life of the hereafter is everlasting, when the person, in return for the wrong he did, in the hereafter, sees that it is everlasting, when he understands there is neither salvation nor perishing, on a day when he has neither an intercessor nor a helper there, if only you could think of the fear and terror it gives a person. My mercy in the universe is for everyone, in the hereafter only for the mu'min, not for the Muslim, look, pay attention. Those with small heads, let them learn these. My mercy in the universe is for everyone: the idolater, the one without idols, the religious, the irreligious, everyone. In the hereafter only for the mu'min, the mu'min, not the Muslim. If it had said to the Muslim, hell would be forbidden to the Muslim.

Hell is forbidden to the mu'min. To the mu'min. Who is this mu'min? Risen to the nafs mutmainnah, aware of the manifestations, the person to whom He says: your Lord pleased with you, you pleased with your Lord, enter among My servants, enter My paradise. They are the people Allah Almighty welcomes with a smiling face. They are righteous servants. Friends of Allah, saints. For them there is no going back. That is why Allah Almighty in some places addresses the mu'min. Addressing the mu'min gives life to the Muslim. In a deed the mu'min would do, when the Muslim does not do it, he does not leave Islam but falls into sin.

Like what, Hodja? For example: say to the believing men. Their eyes; say to the believing women. Let them guard their eyes from the forbidden. (?), sir, let them cover their heads, not show their adornments, cover up to their collar, it says. Well, to whom does He say this? He does not say it to the Muslim. He says it to the mu'min. Isn't the mu'min a Muslim? A person at a level above them. If it had said it to the Muslim, here (?) to those who believe, and if those who believe uncovered their heads, they would all go into kufr by denying the verse. By denying the verse they would go into kufr.

So those who uncover their heads become sinful. They become sinful. Since the believing woman will not uncover her head, He addresses her. The believing woman gives her head but does not uncover it. The believing women. In this case, those who uncover their heads, since they do not leave Islam, become sinful.

One must know these subtleties well.

If you cannot know these, if you do all of it at once, Allah's word just like human word (?).

You flatten it all out and walk away. Yes.

It is understood here, isn't it? The subject.

We give examples too. Very well. Examples are given alongside the verses too.

Yes.

These, on the Day of Resurrection. In the hereafter. In the hereafter, when Allah Almighty's mercy is lifted from them. They will find neither an intercessor nor any helper, it says. Yes. In this case, when people understand they will enter hell and stay there forever, what do we say? If only you could think of the fear and terror it gives a person. I imagine it. As if it comes before my eyes. When they realize they will enter hell, be thrown in, it says, their eyes like sky blue bulging outward, it says, (?) outward, throwing themselves, it says, face down to the ground. Can you feel that terror in yourself?

Can you sense it? When Allah Almighty lifts His mercy from you, when that Owner of the worlds leaves you alone, leaves you in loneliness, when His mercy is cut off, how will you endure that fire? How will he (?) that oppression? We will, it says, have them seized by their (?) and through a narrow gate of hell thrown in, He says. Yes. May Allah protect us, all of us, from such a torment.

Yes. Since every soul came to the realm of possession to make itself a witness to Allah, to those around and to itself, Allah has left people free in their will. Oppressing wrongdoers and such people, with the torment and oppression they cause, in the hereafter increase the wrong of their own selves. What does it say? My Allah, these, those people in hell, those people of kufr, these led us astray. Give them twice as much torment as us, he says. Now here too they interpret the verse wrongly. Anyway, it says, everyone has double torment with Us, it says. Double torment. Well now, wasn't Allah Almighty the Owner of justice?

Wasn't He going to give everyone the exact recompense of what they did? Here, when it says everyone has twice as much, double torment with Us, are you not attributing qualities to Allah Almighty? Well, Hodja, what is it then? Their torments, it says, will be gathered layer upon layer, and to them, in full, the recompense of those torments will be given. This gathered layer upon layer (?), everyone has with Us layer upon layer torment, it says. That is, double torment.

Look at the meaning, the meaning. It abolishes Allah's attribute of justice; it has torment given to everyone layer upon layer. Whereas their torments will be gathered layer upon layer, those torments. Let us say, for example, he did (?) worth 10 lira. He did (?) worth 20 lira. He did (?) worth 3 lira. He did (?) worth 7 lira. That is, their degrees. I say it as an example, of course. In Allah's sight it is not lira but the degrees in Allah's sight. These will be gathered, gathered layer upon layer. Whatever they are, the recompense of those torments will be given to them. Well, Hodja, how will it be for Muslims?

Look, how will it be for Muslims too? It will be given as the recompense of the finest deed he did in the world. The finest deed. Whatever he did, in Allah's sight. If it is a clear, great reward, He will give in return for it. And in addition, it says, as forgiveness from your Lord, more will be given, it says. Yes. To those who take their place in Allah Almighty's ranks. Blessed are they.

People, if they cannot know the verses, interpret them like this with their half-baked minds. With their half-baked minds.

Let us read this part again. Since every soul came to the realm of possession to make itself a witness to Allah, to those around and to itself, Allah has left people free in their will. Oppressing wrongdoers and such people, with the torment and oppression they cause, in the hereafter increase the wrong of their own selves. Of their own selves.

So leave them alone with what they invent. What did they invent? Besides Allah, they invented beings as partners to Allah. Their Lords that they imagined in their own imagination, for there is no such Lord as he imagined, besides Allah, for themselves that god they invented, carving the materials Allah Almighty created in the world, working with their own hands, they shaped it, and stood before it shamelessly; they made it with their own hands and worshipped it. (?), these associated partners with Allah. Are these people endowed with reason? Should their words be listened to? If these had reason: with his own hands working those beings Allah created and shaping them, he makes them just as he pictures them in his own imagination.

Frightening, horned, anything like this. Then, sir, he stands before it and bows respectfully. Shame! What kind of reason is this? Yes.

How beautifully Allah Almighty holds light before people with verses. So leave them alone with what they invent. What did they invent? They invented their idols, associated with Allah. What did they say? It is the tale of the ancients.

What else did they say? Others write this, and it is read to him morning and evening. So it was read to the Prophet, they say. Well, the Prophet, within your (?), those who come and go to him, can you see them? Who comes, who goes? It is all slander they speak. Yes.

Allah, who wrote as destiny for them the covenants the idol worshippers, the enemies of Allah, gave and the aims they asked of Allah, addressing His Beloved, but in fact addressing the worlds and his heirs and at the same time Islam: leave them alone with what they invent.

If they do not believe you, in Allah's oneness, that you are Allah's messenger, in this book coming from Allah, if they do not believe, you have fulfilled your duty by enjoining what is right. So leave them alone with what they themselves invent.

Yes, with His saying leave them alone with what they invent, these will not change their covenants. Nor will they themselves give up rebelling against Allah. So, O you who believe, do not go the way these go, and pay no heed to what they invent in this passing and mortal world. Leave them, let them busy themselves with what they invent. Surely your Lord is the Owner of justice. The day He promised will surely arrive. Every soul will surely see the recompense of what it did. Yes.
