Al-An'am 145: Say; “Within what has been revealed to me, by the condition of not hurting someone else and not transgressing, if someone cannot find anything to eat except the corpse, poured blood, pork – which is filth itself –, or an animal which has been sacrificed sinfully by the name of someone other than Allah, the forbidden food (they should know that) Your Lord is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).”

Translation

Say; “Within what has been revealed to me, by the condition of not hurting someone else and not transgressing, if someone cannot find anything to eat except the corpse, poured blood, pork – which is filth itself –, or an animal which has been sacrificed sinfully by the name of someone other than Allah, the forbidden food (they should know that) Your Lord is Ghafoor (Forgiving) and Raheem (the One who very generously accepts repentance).”

Tafsir

What the polytheists and those who disbelieve in Allah have made unlawful for themselves with the lies they have invented in their heads, Allah has refuted, i.e. denied; Say, My Messenger, I do not find anything forbidden for you to eat except pork, carrion and blood, or animals slaughtered in sin and slaughtered other than in the name of Allah. Except for people who are in distress and come to the point of death. There is no sin for him to eat these forbidden things until he is rescued, provided that he does not harm others, that is, he does not offer them to anyone who is not in need while he is cooking and eating. Because Allah values human life very much.

Man needs to live his life in order to keep himself as a witness to Allah. In this respect, there is no sin on people who are in need to eat the unlawful things until they are in a state of prosperity. For Allah is forgiving and merciful.

It is narrated that a man who was in such a hardship would find a carcass, cut up the meat, light a fire, roast it and eat it, and a man would come to him. The smell of the meat that he was roasting and eating over the fire whetted the man's appetite. He waits for the other person to offer him the meat. But the person who was eating the roasted meat was not interested. When he realizes that he will not be offered, he becomes a little upset. Realizing this situation, the person frying the meat gives the following answer to the other person. O friend, this meat is lawful for me and unlawful for you. The man is surprised. How is it lawful for you and unlawful for me? The person who fried the carcass said, "I have been in pain for days, I could not find anything to eat, and I started to lose strength and power. I came across this carcass. I chopped up this carcass, lit a fire and am eating it. Allah has allowed me to eat it until I reach salvation. Therefore, it is lawful for me, but forbidden for you since you are in the state of felah. Then the other man embraces him, kisses him and helps him.

What is said in the video

Of Surah Al-An'am, we stopped at verse 145.

Let us recall last week's verses above.

To those who forbade animals to themselves, or who invented, by their own heads, halal and haram, saying we eat this, and if that is born dead we eat it together with our wives, Allah Almighty, as He made known in the verse, now makes known here too what is halal and what is haram. What does the verse say? Say: In what is revealed to me, that is, in what my Lord made known to me directly into my heart by inspiration, by revelation, in what He made known by revelation through communication, carrion or blood poured out, or the flesh of swine, which is filth itself, it says. It is filth itself. Allah Almighty created man very honourable.

That is why man is the most honourably created being in the universe. The noblest of creatures, as the name says. If all the jinn and angels are created beings, man is the noblest of creatures. That is, the noblest of the created, the most honourable of the created. Why? Because of the spirit from Himself that Allah Almighty gave man. Created very honourable, and what does Allah Almighty say? I created man in the most beautiful form, He says. This man He created so beautifully, so that He would be known by His Being, because He created him, that is, to be known through that man, or rather, for His Being to be known by His Being, because He created him, to them, that is, in the life of this world, to people, without (?), He makes known to us what is good and what is not good for the human body.

So blood, carrion and pork, these are filth itself, it says. Why filth itself? Because, as we explained in earlier lessons too, germs circulate in the blood. Blood is filth. Therefore, according to Imam Abu Hanifa, when blood comes out one must perform ablution. When blood comes out. According to Imam Shafi'i, that blood does not (?). He says ablution is performed when the hand touches a woman. That is, the ablution is renewed, he says.

The views of the imams; the best (?), regarding the views of all four imams as true, the four schools are true, because knowing it, the best is that of Imam Abu Hanifa since it is his school, if there is an imam from the Hanafi school, even if there are imams from the other schools too, the imam from the Hanafi school must lead the prayer. Yes, in that case, in that case, if it says blood is filth, filth, since germs circulate there, since Allah Almighty created man honourable, and since He sent him into the world so that, within his lifetime, with the worship he does with this body, he would prove what kind of person he is, by making known to us what is not good for our body, Allah Almighty protects us.

He protects. In that case, carrion, having produced germs, full of many putrid germs, a carrion. a piece of meat. Blood likewise. In pork, we said, there are trichinae; even if you cook it they do not die, and when they pass into the human body they cause all kinds of diseases. Therefore, because pork and blood are harmful to the human body, Allah Almighty has made them haram. Haram. This is our Lord's command.

Besides, there is more that is haram; not only these. What He mentions here is also what is not slaughtered in Allah's name. Animals, those slaughtered for idols; these are not eaten either. Also an animal torn apart by a wild beast is not eaten. But if you reach it before it dies and slaughter it, you may eat it. Now, we explain these at such length because, as we always say, there are short minds. These short minds say this: Look, this is another wrong fatwa. It is not a wrong fatwa. Depending on the situation, yes, depending on the situation, according to the topic, the events we explain, unfortunately they themselves, according to their minds, to smear this site and to cancel us too, with various games, try to smear.

Let them go on smearing; they will speak falsehood. And we, in speaking the truth. They will have done their duty, and we ours. And people will see the difference between the two and, using their minds, will learn better which is with the truth and which is the word of truth. Yes. By speaking falsehood they too end up serving the Truth. But they are not aware of how sinful they are.

What does it say? Say: In what is revealed to me, revealed to me, carrion or blood poured out, or the flesh of swine, which is filth itself. Or an animal slaughtered sinfully in the name of other than Allah. Now look how beautiful the word of Allah Almighty is. Filth is separate; animals slaughtered sinfully, not in the name of Allah, for idols, are not eaten either, it says. That is not filth. Why? Because they are not germ-ridden, they are clean animals, but since they are not slaughtered in Allah's name, as if there were a second god and it were dedicated to him, as if the meat He bestowed on you (?), because you are like that, Allah Almighty has deemed those not slaughtered in Allah's name haram for us too. Yes. But He mentions the filthy things and after that He says sinfully. Look.

Or sinfully, that is, by associating partners with Allah, sinfully, an animal slaughtered in the name of other than Allah; apart from these, no food has been made haram for anyone. Made haram. But He says, if you have come to the point of dying, without deeming it halal. You will not deem it halal. Without deeming it halal. You may eat until you are out of danger, it says. You are dying anyway. You will die anyway. If my Lord has written life for you, He will make it the means for you. The means. And you, by eating it, until you are out of danger, without exceeding the limit, without deeming it halal, and on the condition of not eating it with relish, may eat from it.

Now a narration comes to my mind here, they call it a narration, a beautiful narration.

One of the women, a woman, is boiling food. Its smell is very nice too. An acquaintance passing by sits by that pot. When it is cooked, eat from it, she says.

Anyway. The poor woman cooking that food, after boiling and cooking the meat, calls her children. She sets the table.

She does not put out a bowl for her. She says, sister, this is halal for us and haram for you. How can that be, she says, halal for you but haram for me? My children, she says, have been hungry for days. I found some carrion meat over there, she says. I found the meat of a dead animal.

And we have been hungry for days, she says. So my children's cries, she says, ring in my ears. I could not bear it, she says. I cut from the animal, boiled it, cooked it, and, she says, I will feed it to my children and fill their stomachs, I will try to stop their (?), she says. Therefore, as far as our Lord has commanded us, on the condition of not deeming it halal, we will eat from it to fill our stomachs until we are out of danger. It is halal for us but haram for you, she says. You have means. Go and eat at home, she says. Yes. I do

not find anything. Whoever, without harming others and without exceeding the limit, is forced to eat of these, let him know that your Lord is forgiving and merciful. Yes. Our Lord is most forgiving, most merciful, full of mercy, possessor of compassion.

If a person lives these things, his eyes fill with tears. His nose bone aches. In the face of our Lord's mercy, forgiveness, love for people and His compassion toward them. Yes.

What the polytheists and those who deny Allah forbade to themselves with lies they invented from their heads, Allah refutes, that is, Allah Almighty, belying what they forbade to themselves, says to His Beloved: Say, apart from pork, carrion and blood, or animals slaughtered sinfully in the name of other than Allah, I find nothing made haram for you as food, except for people who fall into hardship and come to the verge of death. Yes. Except these. These may eat. It is our Lord's mercy.

Without harming others with these, that is, while he cooks and eats the food himself, on the condition of not offering what he eats to someone who is not in need, as I explained a moment ago,

until he is out of danger, in his eating, eating from these haram things there is no harm. Yes.

There is no sin on him. Because Allah values human life greatly. Why does Allah Almighty value human life so greatly?

Why?

Because the person He sent into the world of the unseen, as we call it, the world where His Being is not seen, so that he testifies to what kind of person he is, before himself, those around him and Allah Almighty, he must be healthy. So Allah Almighty gives great importance to a person's health. They must be healthy, healthy, About the worship he is to do or the duty he is to do, to Allah Almighty he will not be able to complain. I was unhealthy. You did not make known to me what is good for me and what is not. Because I could not know these things, I left my body exposed to suffering or illness.

What could I do? So that he does not say this, Allah Almighty, His noble ruling, and so that people do not attribute qualities to Allah Almighty, our Lord (?) before people with such beautiful verses. In that case, man; Allah Almighty, in the verse too, to man says this: O man! I will call you to account for the way you used this body I gave you. First of all, the body too is a trust to us. To nourish this trust in the best way, we must obey our Lord's commands. Not must; it is obligatory. Whoever goes beyond these will have wronged his own self. And will have betrayed the trusts given to him. Yes.

A person must live in order to make himself a witness before Allah within his lifetime. Therefore, for people in necessity, there is no sin in eating from haram things until they are out of danger. Because Allah is forgiving and merciful. Yes. According to a narration, a person who fell into such hardship, in necessity, finds carrion and cuts up its meat. Right? As I told, he lights a fire and while he roasts it over the fire and eats, a man passes by. The smell of the meat he roasts over the fire whets the man's appetite. He waits for the person before him to offer him some meat. Here we say meat, but it is grilled, you see, to cook it; in fact she boils it in a pot.

She will feed it to her children too.

He sees that the person roasting the meat pays no attention at all, and when he realises he will not be offered any, he seems a little offended. Noticing this, the person roasting the meat gives this answer to the man before him. O friend, this meat is halal for me and haram for you, he says. The man is surprised. How is it halal for you and haram for me, he says. The person roasting the carrion meat: I have been hungry for days and could not find anything to eat. I have now (?) and begun to (?). This carrion appeared before me; I cut up this carrion meat, lit a fire, and I am eating. Allah has permitted me to eat this until I am out of danger.

Therefore it is halal for me, and since you are out of danger, it is haram for you, he says. It is haram. Then the man before him (?) kisses him and (?) to help that person.
