Tafsir
But if people wake up when they realize that their ways are evil, and they see the truth, and they repent with faith in Allah, and they promise Allah that they will never go back to their evil ways, then Allah, in His great mercy, forgives their sins and turns them into a burden of good deeds.
Allah is full of forgiveness and mercy. Because Allah created human beings mentally incomplete. He sent them to the realm of property, which is a realm of the unseen. In this case, He sent Prophets, Books and scholars to people so that they could find the truth. Since every mind knows Allah, if people turn towards the truth without being stubborn or obstinate, if people, who were created deficient in intellect, then realize the sins they have committed and return to the Truth, Allah will surely forgive the sins of such people. There is no other God other than Allah, so that these people should knock on the door of that God and take refuge in Him. There is only one door to take refuge in and that is the door of Allah and His Essence.
Allah has already created human beings to make Himself known. If people know their mistakes and their weakness, if they realize the greatness of Allah and believe that He is the absolute Owner and Ruler of the Worlds, Allah forgives them and converts their sins into good deeds. When these people turn from the evil path to the Truth, there is a change in their character, such that they turn away from cruelty and inhumanity and turn towards mercy, they avoid sins and do good deeds, and they turn from evil to good, which shows that they are good people. It is the knowledge of Allah that makes a person a good person. This is the result of Allah's mercy and great mercy. Because if one knows the Essence of Allah and turns to Allah and seeks refuge in His Essence in his helplessness and seeks forgiveness for his sins, in a hadith the Prophet (PBUH) says that even if your sins are as high as the clouds in the sky, when you repent to Allah in faith, they will be changed into good deeds.
What is said in the video
Verse 70 of Surah Al-Furqan: "Except those who repent and believe and do good deeds; they are different," says Allah Almighty. So first let me explain just this much to you: "Except those who repent and believe and do good deeds; they are different," it says. Now what does this part correspond to? "If you had not made mistakes, We would destroy you and create on earth servants who make mistakes," He says. Why does He say this? Allah Almighty has given us a part of His essence. It resembles His essence. If we made no mistakes, our Lord would have created a being equal to His essence. So He creates us fallible and deficient.
We will understand our faults and deficiencies. We will take refuge in our Creator. We will repent. When, for the evils we have done, we repent and ask forgiveness from Allah Almighty, it will accord with Allah Almighty's purpose of creation. So in this case, those who repent, believe and do good deeds are different. That is: "O my Lord, in my period of ignorance I did such and such things, but I know that I have disobeyed You. From now on I will keep away from such things, and I will never do such a thing. Because You are my Lord. I am obliged to do what You say. And I am obliged to give thanks for the blessings (?)" — when you say this, what does Allah Almighty say? "They," He says, "are different." (?) now. "Allah turns their evil deeds into good deeds," He says.
And what does the Prophet say? "Even if your sins had reached the clouds in the sky, when you make a fervent repentance from the heart, We turn them into good deeds," he says. What does it say here anyway? Well: "He turns their evil deeds into good deeds," it says. "Allah is Most Forgiving." Why is Allah Most Forgiving? Because Allah created us deficient. He created us fallible. Since our intellect is deficient, we will certainly make mistakes. If our Lord had not forgiven us for these mistakes, none of us would ever see paradise.
Yes. And now let us confirm it with the verse, too. Let us confirm what I said with His verses. "If you were seized at once for the mistakes you made, you would not find on earth a single living being walking about," He says. Yes. That Allah Almighty is vast in mercy — He says it in such beautiful verses already. "Allah is Most Forgiving, vast in mercy," He says. We have more or less explained the verse to you here, but let's read what we have written here and look at that too.
But if people realize that the paths they follow are bad and wake up, see the truth and repent with faith in Allah, if they give Allah their word that they will never return to the bad paths they took, then, since Allah is vast in mercy, He not only forgives their sins but turns these sins into a load of good deeds. Allah's pardon and forgiveness are abundant. For Allah created people deficient in intellect. He has sent them to His great world, which is a lost world. So He has sent people prophets, books and scholars, so that they may find the truth. Since every intellect knows Allah, if people, without being stubborn, without digging in their heels, turn to what is right — if people created deficient in intellect, after the sins they committed, later realize it and return to the truth, Allah will surely forgive the sins of such people. There is no other god besides Allah whose door these people could knock on and take refuge in.
There is only one door to take refuge at: Allah's door and His essence. Indeed, Allah created people so that His essence would be known. People know their mistakes and their helplessness. If they grasp Allah's divinity and believe that He is the absolute owner and ruler of the worlds, and have faith, Allah forgives these servants and also turns their sins into good deeds. When these people return from the bad path to the truth, in their character, too, a change takes place: their avoiding killing and cruelty, turning to mercy, shunning sins, seeking good deeds, turning from evil to good shows that these are good people. Indeed, a person's knowing Allah makes him a good person.
And this is the result of Allah's gift and vast mercy to people. Because if a person knows Allah's essence and turns to Allah, takes refuge in Allah's essence in his helplessness and asks to be forgiven his sins — in a hadith the Prophet (peace be upon him) says: "Even if your sins had risen to the clouds in the sky, when you repent with faith in Allah, He turns these sins of yours into good deeds." Yes.
