Translation

(Oh My Messenger!) Say; “If you hadn’t have your servitude and your supplications, why should my Lord consider you as valueable?” (Oh deniers) you have truly rejected (what the Messenger proclaimed). Thus, punishment will be inevitable.

Tafsir

Allah (swt) created human beings for the knowledge of His Essence. Otherwise, of all the creatures Allah (swt) created, why would He have created human beings? Allah, who is He! He was going to create such a creature that this creature would find its creator with its own will. So Allah created what He intended. He created man who is very close to Him. He gave man his soul and made him a mirad to His Essence. He made him honorable over the worlds. He gave man a great value. Even though he realized that he was created in man, he denied God and betrayed Him.

In this case, Allah created the human being He intended. He wanted man to know his Lord within his own will and to serve Him. When man denies his Lord and does not fulfill his duty of servitude to Allah, why should Allah value such people?

The disbelievers absolutely disbelieved in Allah and in their covenant with Allah (swt), their deliberate disbelief in Allah (swt), the decisions they made within their own will, and their wills were written as destiny for them. When these people came to the realm of property, they disbelieved in the realm of property as they disbelieved Allah in the realm of the Hereafter, when they made a covenant with Allah at Kalu Bela, as a result of Allah (swt) informing people of His Essence in the unseen realm He created and sending them Prophets.

The disbelievers not only deny Allah and the Hereafter, but they also deny His Prophets and His Books, and they do not stop associating partners with Allah. They are ungrateful for all the blessings that Allah (swt) has bestowed upon mankind, and they do not thank Allah (swt) or call upon Him (swt).

Such disbelieving disbelievers and polytheists, or people with any ideology, or those who invent a religion other than Islam and follow it, will never be spared from torment.

Allah's first calamity to such people is that they are in torment all their lives with restlessness in their hearts. In order to relieve their restlessness, these people pursue whatever mischief there is outside of Allah's path in order to find peace. But because their deeds are outside the command of Allah, they sink deeper and deeper into the marshes and restlessness covers them like the darkness of the night.

The second is that Allah gives them a few calamities every year, and they are haunted by calamities and torments. These are the calamities that Allah (swt) has given to these people while they are still in this world. And these calamities are piled up and washed away compared to the Hereafter.

Their misfortunes in the Hereafter will turn into torment and they will suffer eternal torment in an immortal realm. In the Hereafter, these people want to perish in Hell. But since there is no death, they will not be destroyed. In that case, after they have burned for many thousands of years or suffered various torments according to the days of the Hereafter, Allah's mercy will finally reach them and they will not taste or feel it, and they will remain in Hell for eternity as the logs of Hell.

Only so much so that they do not feel the torment. Just as a person does not feel the pain of a cut when his nervous system is anesthetized by injecting him with morphine during surgery, Allah has removed their nerve senses and they will remain in hell as logs of hell, unable to taste or feel.

So even though their nervous systems have disappeared, even though they have become unable to taste and feel, they are still in hell, in that fire, and the torment has not left them.

May Allah give people a good understanding and realization and make them servants to Allah and ummahs to His Messenger. May He protect us all from such an end and such a torment.

What is said in the video

We have come to Surah Al-Furqan, verse 77. This is a long, well, verse of commentary; let us read it. My Messenger, say: Were it not for your servanthood and your supplication, why would my Lord value you? How beautifully it puts it. What does it say? Say: Were it not for your servanthood and supplication, why would my Lord value you? Why did He create me? So that His essence would be known. Well, why did He create? A hidden treasure. An unknown treasure. That is, subsisting by His essence. Subsisting by His essence. There is no other being at all. If it were you, wouldn't you want to be known?

Wouldn't you create some beings so that you would be known? And among these beings, one that addresses you, wouldn't you want to create a being, like you, fit to be addressed by your essence? And when you create it, not create it as a being equal to your essence, but wouldn't you want to create it as forever in need of your essence? So that it always knows me.

Allah Almighty does just that. What did He do so that His essence would be known? He gave man a part of His spirit. It says spirit, it says Gabriel. That's what it says, isn't it? Spirit, Gabriel, it says. He said something else about the spirit. Did He say something like an illusion? He is saying it, I mean. Now,

the universal spirit, Allah Almighty — this, as oceans, let us take it. If you take a drop from the oceans, a drop, if you analyse this drop,

does it give the same values as the ocean or not? It does. If Allah Almighty gave us a part of Him, we carry the same values. What do we say? Will is twofold. Universal will, partial will.

If the universal will has a will, its part has a will too. Partial will is to desire, to want, to live like that, well, universal will is to direct it, to make its rules known, to show it the way. What happened? Just as a father and a mother guide their children and raise them for life. The same. Since we too are a part of our Lord, Allah Almighty has given us a spirit from His essence. Spirit. Now what does it say? Say: were it not for your supplication, what would we do with you? It speaks the truth. Well, if He has made me the addressee of His essence, if He has bestowed every blessing on me, I will be (?) to Him.

What will I say? O my great Lord, my Lord who is the Owner of the worlds, for these blessings bestowed on me, to You be thanks, I will say, I mean. And do not leave me alone, my Lord, I will say. Why? Because our minds are not able to see what lies ahead of us. So we are looking for a door in which to take refuge. And that door of refuge is only Your door, my Allah, we say. Yes.

He is our Creator. This is how we will express our duty of servanthood to Allah. What does it say? Say: were it not for your servanthood and supplication — what is servanthood? Worship. Were it not for your supplication, why would my Lord value you? O deniers! You have flatly called what the Messenger told you a lie. Therefore punishment will not let go of you, it says. Oh. Oh, how beautiful. Allah Almighty created people so that His essence would be known. Otherwise, with so many creatures that Allah Almighty created, why would He create man? Allah is the One who was to create such a being that this being He created would find its Creator by its own will.

Would find its Creator. That is, without taking Allah Almighty's program — will is twofold — knowing its Creator with a partial will. Yes, someone created me. I was created. Who? He is telling me face to face. Elestü bi Rabbiküm. Your Lord is Me, He says. It is Me, certainly. (?), He says. Then (?). I was created. And my owner is You. This is how we will say it. Yes.

So Allah created what He willed. He created man very close to His essence. By giving man of His spirit, He made him (?) to His essence. He made him honoured above the worlds. He gave man very great value. And although man realised he was created, he denied Allah and used it treacherously. In this situation, Allah created the man He willed. He wanted man, within his own will, knowing his Lord, to serve Allah. But when man denies his Lord, when he does not fulfil his duty of servanthood to Allah, why should Allah value such people?

So the deniers flatly denied Allah, and when they made the covenant with Allah Almighty, their knowingly denying Allah — by the decisions they made within their own wills, their wishes were written for them as destiny. When these people came to the material world, as a result of Allah Almighty, in an unseen world He created, informing people of His essence and sending them prophets, these people, just as in the world of the hereafter, at Kalû Belâ, when they made the covenant with Allah Almighty, there they denied Allah, in the material world too they turned to denial.

When we say this, someone gives Hazrat Umar as an example. Allah had not granted it to him in the world. In the world he was supposedly going to kill the Prophet. So Allah had not granted it to him so that he would not kill him. It's not like that, I said, blessed one, it's not like that. At that address, Elestü bi Rabbiküm, we made the covenant with Allah Almighty, didn't we; there, I said, his faith — he had believed, he believed there. But by coming into the world he remained among the polytheists, the (?). In the end, when he goes to beat his sister Fatima, he becomes a Muslim, of course. On hearing the Quran, through that light of faith from the Quran the person, well, becomes eager and goes to pledge allegiance to the Prophet, I said.

Otherwise, Allah Almighty did not prevent his misfortune in the world. Everyone will be called to account in return for what they did. What does Allah Almighty say? Today, with no injustice done to anyone, what everyone has earned — look, what everyone has earned — as the return of his own two hands, to him will be given. He does not say: I steered you this way, I steered you that way. If He did steer, then steer me too. I too am going to kill a man. Make me (?) too. Why? You are discriminating. Among Your creatures, why are You doing (?)? Does this befit Allah?

You talk about it like this. Who are you? You are going to write verses, you are going to write translations. Who are you all? You are going to write the translations. Yes. I have a (?), the (?) writes. What does it write? There it is, the (?). Does it have a mind? No. If the (?) had a mind, it would find the truth. Since it has no mind, he has the (?) write it.

Just as the deniers flatly belie Allah and the hereafter, they also belie Allah's prophets and the books He has sent, and do not refrain from associating partners with Allah. Being ungrateful for the many blessings Allah Almighty has given people, they neither thank Allah nor entreat Him.

What? In the verse, Allah Almighty to us (?) two rains a year
