Al-A'raf 3: Follow that which has been sent down to you (the Qur’an) by your Lord. Do not leave it and follow other friends. How little advice you are taking.

Surah Al-A'raf, verse 3: Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, the Quran, it says. What has been sent down to us from Allah Almighty, the Quran — follow it. Do not leave it and go after other friends. How little you take advice, says Allah Almighty. How little you take advice. Now, who created us? That Lord of ours, besides whom there is no god, created us. in these worlds, as His creatures, that He is the owner of the worlds — our knowing this — that there is no merciful one but Allah — it tells us. Now we are moving to the proof here. Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, the Quran.

We are moving to the proof of this. If these worlds, from the atom to the globe, were created by Allah, by Allah, if there is no god other than Allah — if there were another god besides Allah, he would take what he created, and Allah what He created. Everything would drown in (?). Since it is not so — Allah Almighty, who says He created His creatures firmly — these worlds turning around one another, solidly, in order and harmony, a world that (?) unity, the heavens, or what is between the two, the remembrance of their Lord (?) — with this verse, by making everything He created remember His Essence, His Essence's emblem stamped on His creatures — in this case the proof that there is no other god but Allah and that all created things are in need of Allah emerges. In this case, follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord, the Quran.

So follow that God who is flawless, complete and perfect, who created you, and to whose Essence all His creatures are (?) — follow your Lord, He says. Then, if you follow those other than Him, since they are deficient and without intellect, since they deny Allah, they will drag you into nothingness, into kufr, into wrongdoing, He says. Into wrongdoing, into darkness they will drag you, He says. So He says. Do not leave it and go after other friends. Like whom? After Satan. Do not go after the two-legged taghut, the human devils. They too are in need of Allah. Allah Almighty feeds them, gives them drink, nourishes them too.

But because they have deified their own nafs, they are people who have turned their back on Allah. And Satan, because he is an enemy to Adam, that is, to man, did not do what Allah said and was cursed. So, O man! Never make friends with one who is your enemy. Then he will drag you to ruin too, He says. He will drag you to ruin too. What does He say? You take the Quran. Do not leave it and go after other friends. How little you take advice, He says. How much — with Allah's verses that confirm one another, with Allah's word, with the truth of the prophets who came, with scholars making Allah loved and explaining Allah's verses to people — these people, with the whims of the nafs, how few, He says, are those who turn to their words.

How many, besides this, turn their backs on Allah's verses, and how little you take advice from the One who created you, He says. Even among Muslims, without applying Allah's verses, there are those who live without leaving Islam either. Allah Almighty says do not drink alcohol; there are those who drink. Does He say, Muslim, gamble? There are those who gamble. He says do not commit adultery; there are those who commit adultery. Yes, for example, how little these now take advice from Allah. These are the ones who take little advice. Yes, and the others are those who deny and (?). O people, follow the Quran sent down to you from your Lord, we say.

Follow the Quran. Allah Almighty says 'follow it'; it is not we who say it. Because the Quran is the word of Allah. That is, since all creatures are in need of Allah, we, to that Lord of ours whom we need, to our Lord's word, are obliged to conform. Let's think of it this way: we work in a factory, we live on that factory's income, that is, we live on the monthly salary it pays us. If we refuse and don't go to that factory, for the number of days I didn't go it will cut my daily wage. It will pay me less salary. Then I'll come to a (?) where I can't live at all on the salary I live on. If (?) I never go at all, I'll get no money at all, I'll be wretched.

Worldly life is like this. If we turn to our Lord, if we fulfil what our Lord says, we both live in peace and enter among the rich of the Hereafter. If we step outside what our Lord says, we go to the Hereafter as a bankrupt merchant (?), and there we remain (?).

Yes.

What are we saying, O people? Follow the Quran sent down to you from your Lord. Because the Quran is the word of Allah. The One who created beings, who says 'finally your return is to Allah', besides whom there is no god — Allah's (?), Allah's book, it is Allah's book, we say. Do not leave this book and take other friends. Other friends: devils, two-legged ones. Taghuts, that is, Satan's friends, devils of the human kind, two-legged.

Do not take Satan, whom Allah cursed, as a friend. Do not follow the taghut. Do not follow people who are enemies of Allah. Do not ascribe idols as partners to Allah. Do not leave Allah and turn to these. Because Allah wills good for you. He invites you to Paradise. The (?) you have taken besides Allah invite you to the Fire. To the Fire. Allah Almighty with all His verses explains His Essence to people. And that there is no other god besides Allah — although every possessor of intellect (?) it — people, without reflecting, without using their intellect, (?) to rebel against Allah. Yes.
