Translation

There are many nations We have destroyed. Our punishment came to them during night or while they were resting during the day.

Tafsir

Even though Allah (swt) has proved His existence so much, many nations have perished because people expected miracles from Allah (swt) and did not believe in the miracles that were eventually shown. One of them was the people of Lot. This people went beyond the limits in immorality. They abandoned women and turned to their fellow men. Despite many warnings, they rebelled against Allah and His Messenger and attempted to attack Lot. Allah destroyed this people in the night. He also destroyed the people of Prophet Shu'ayb during the day. While they were resting at noon, Allah's punishment overtook them.

It is nothing but enmity against their own souls that people live so far away from Allah, despite the fact that Allah has made His existence so clear to people, both by informing them of the events of the past and by admonishing them, so that they do not suffer the fate of the people who perished.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-A'raf, verse 4 Many are the towns that We destroyed, it says. Like the people of Ad, the people of Thamud, the people of Lot, the people of Pharaoh, peoples, the people of Noah. Our punishment came upon them by night or while they were resting by day, it says. Yes. Now, there are many towns that We destroyed. So does Allah Almighty, like people, for pleasure and amusement, set out and destroy a being He created and watch it with delight? Is this befitting of Allah? For example, for their own pleasure, in arenas, people make gladiators fight. They make them kill each other. They place bets.

Well, they throw animals in front of people. They throw people in front of animals. And then they watch them being torn apart. Pleasure and amusement. Does Allah Almighty too destroy a people He created, as humans do, and watch it with pleasure and amusement? Allah forbid. Therefore, since Allah Almighty's mercy upon people, upon what He created, is abundant, we must think of the destruction of these people as follows. These are people our Lord created as the noblest of creatures; because they could not be worthy of our Lord, because they stepped outside His religious law, and so that, stepping outside His command, they would not make the generations coming after them like themselves, so that the later generations would have life, Allah Almighty destroyed them.

Because they were a rebellious people. They would also have ruined the generations to come. In that case, since everyone lives out his own character, we must think that they wronged their own selves and brought destruction upon themselves. Otherwise, if we were to think the opposite, we would (?) attributes to Allah Almighty and fall into sin. Yes.

Our punishment came upon them by night or while they rested by day; Our punishment, it says, upon them by night or while they were resting by day (?).

In Surah Al-A'raf, verse 4, it says: many are the towns that We destroyed. Many are the towns that We destroyed. Our punishment came upon them by night or while they were resting by day. While resting by day, the people of Salih see a cloud, 'oh,' they say. Under this cloud, they say, we will cool off. And the cloud will probably bring rain too, they say. They see a yellow cloud. When they take shelter under that yellow cloud, they are destroyed there. By a single cry. Although Allah Almighty proves His existence this much, because people expect miracles from Allah and in the end do not believe the miracles shown to them either, many towns, their peoples, have been destroyed, have met destruction.

People, from Allah Almighty, from Allah Almighty, expect miracles. For example, Pharaoh: nine miracles. Well, from Salih, camels coming out of the rock; other towns, for example Lot, Lot's words to that homosexual people. They expect miracles. Or else, when they overstep Allah's limits, when they deny the prophets, the prophets too say to Allah Almighty: O my Lord, I have been overcome by them. Overcome. Forgive me, pardon me, help me, he says. And His help, His help to that prophet, is the destruction of that people. Noah says this. My Allah, I have been overcome by this people, he says. He stays among the people for 960 years.

So, before our eyes, within our awareness, a ship is lying. He builds the ship according to Our description. builds it. According to the descriptions of Allah Almighty. He builds that ship and takes one of each pair. The second Adam is Noah. That is, after Adam, up to Noah, a people comes. Those peoples on earth are all destroyed. Just as they descended from Adam, after Noah too people again on earth spread out and multiply. Yes. Allah Almighty has destroyed those who denied the prophets He sent and those who overstepped Allah's limits.

One of these is the people of Lot. This people went beyond all bounds in immorality. They left women and turned to their own sex. (?), despite the warnings, rebelling against Allah and His prophet, they attempted to attack Lot. And Allah destroyed this people at night. The people of the prophet Shu'ayb He destroyed by day. At noon, while they were resting, Allah's punishment seized them.

So Allah, by telling of past events, that is, like a history: just as history tells of the past, Allah Almighty too, like a history, the events that took place,

without distorting them at all, as they truly were, to people, as they truly were, to people, as very fine lessons, through His verses, relates them; and that His being is everlasting and that all beings are created by Him, and finally that all (?) will taste death and in the hereafter will give account before Allah Almighty at the Supreme Court, He makes known.

So Allah tells of past events and gives people advice, so that they do not meet the fate of the destroyed peoples; and although He makes His existence known to people so openly, so plainly, people, on the contrary, living so far from Allah is nothing other than enmity against their own selves. Allah, it says, wrongs no one. You wrong your own selves, it says. Yes.
