(Iblees) Satan said, “Give me time until the day when they (people) will be resurrected.”
Tafsir
When Iblis was expelled from the presence of Allah, he could not fit this into his pride and egoism, and out of jealousy towards people, he increased his hatred against Allah (swt). In this regard, he asks Allah (swt) to deceive people, to ambush them and to turn them away from Allah (swt). He said, "Give me a respite until the day when people will be resurrected.
The purpose behind this respite was for Satan to deceive people, as if he did not know the Lord, and to deceive them according to his own mind. However, this was part of the program. People will come to the realm of property, the good and the bad will be tempted by the vile angel, the good will not be tempted, and those who rebel against Allah will side with the angel. In this way, people will be tested according to the verse of Allah (swt), "We test you with each other".
These events, as in the verse I have mentioned above, are the creatures dragging themselves to destruction by their own will, within their own will. Allah tells people about these events so that those who do not rely on Allah, who do not obey Allah, are the ones who waste their souls. Because every mind is imperfect. It is bound to make mistakes. And if he does not obey Allah, he will be disappointed. If he makes a mistake in obedience to Allah and regrets it, Allah will forgive him. It is clear from this that Allah is free from all imperfect attributes. All creation is dependent on Allah. Those who rebel against Him are those who aspire to eternal torment.
What is said in the video
We have come to verse 14 of Surah Al-A'raf. It is going well, I suppose; we are going a bit fast, but it is going well. How beautiful it is that, as people supporting one another, we know what we are to do; that towards our Lord in love, in respect, in reverence we do not fall short, and then that towards our elders we are the same way. What does Allah Almighty say in Surah Luqman? First Me, then your mother and father, obey, He says. Yes. Iblis said to Allah Almighty: Give me respite until the day people are raised again.
And Allah Almighty grants him that respite.
If He had not granted him that respite, a question like this could have come to my mind: Since Iblis had a lot of knowledge, knowing that, and since Allah Almighty could not exert His rule over him within the frame of this knowledge, did He, using the chance in His hand, not give him this ruling until the day people are raised, for that reason? Such a question could have come to my mind. But He says to him: Go on, you have been given respite until the day people are raised again, He says. Do as you wish. But what you wish will have no worth beside the human being I created as the noblest of creatures, beside the human being, the noblest of creatures, no worth at all.
No worth at all. Ha! If there are those who will follow you, yes, if there are those who will follow you, someone was needed to show them that path too. Yes. And you become a cause for them, a cause in tempting them. Those who will follow you, I have given them to you, He says. I have given them to you. Whoever follows you, take them, let them be yours, He says. That is, the people of Hell. You too are of Hell. You will all be gathered together in the same place, He says.
How beautifully Allah Almighty says it. He says it very beautifully. Yes.
What does it say here? In verse 20 of Surah Saba, By oath, Iblis proved his assumption about them true, it says. That is, he assumed. What did he assume? He assumed the people who would deny Me. That assumption proved true, it says. So he did not do it knowingly. An assumption. Assumptions, you know, can be wrong and can be right. An assumption is not conscious. Yes. By oath, Iblis proved his assumption about them true. Except for a group of people, except for a group who believed, they all followed him, it says. Except for a group who believed. Yet Satan has no influence at all over them, it says.
Because the human being was created the noblest of creatures. He uses his own will. Man over Satan. That is, Satan has no influence at all over man. Because in man there is a partial will and a spirit. Very strong. With the passion to be head, out of ego, pride and arrogance, the desire his nafs gives him and the temptation Satan gives him please man, so he runs after Satan. In fact, by making his nafs a god, it is as if he had followed Satan. Yes. Only so that We would distinguish and know the one who believes in the Hereafter from the one who remains in doubt, it says. We gave him this opportunity. Your Lord truly guards all things.
This too is a verse that is interpreted wrongly. We interpret that part like this. Let us read this part to you.
4 3 1. Yes.
What
does it say now? We read the wrong one: Yet Satan, Satan had no influence at all over them. Only so that We would distinguish and know the one who believes in the Hereafter from the one who remains in doubt. As if Allah did not know, look, as if Allah did not know, and when Satan tempts, which one will separate and which one will not. Does this befit the majesty of Allah? Can there be such a verse? Can a verse be interpreted like this? Allah forbid. Sir, He gave him this opportunity so that We would know. My Lord, it says, truly knows all things. Look, here too it says He truly knows all things.
Now, do these two words not contradict each other? Do they not contradict? Was it not said that there would be no words in it that do not agree with one another, if it were not the word of Allah, it says? There would be many words in it that do not agree with one another, it says. Well, would this not fall among those same words? Look how we interpret it: Yet Satan had no influence at all over them. Only so that those who believe in the Hereafter and those who remain in doubt would separate from one another, so that they would separate from one another by their own will, Satan was given the opportunity he wanted.
Your Lord truly knows all things, it says.
Yes.
So in this case, in this case Satan has no will at all over man. That is why Allah Almighty, at that address of Elestü bi Rabbiküm, those who denied Allah, who had (?) written for themselves as destiny, when they came into the world, since our Lord would not show them the evil path, someone was needed to tempt them and show them that path, so that they would bring out their own nature. That is how the opportunity was given to Satan. He will show the evil. But not by Allah's command. The banished one says: I will tempt them. And Allah Almighty says: Whoever follows you, I have given him to you. The (?) written this way, this part of its scenario is played out this way.
Yes, this is one of the episodes of a written saga. Yes, this is a series, a saga. When we say a series of episodes, let us tell it. Let us tell the parts of this series of episodes one by one. One: Allah existed by His own essence. A hidden treasure, He willed to be known. Two: from His light He created Muhammad, from his light He created the worlds. Then He created the human beings to whom He gave of His spirit. Three: with them He made a covenant at the address of Elestü bi Rabbiküm. As a result of this covenant He programmed these worlds. Four: He raised our spirits to the realm of barzakh.
Look, these are the parts of a series of episodes. He raised them to the realm of barzakh. Five: the spirit whose turn comes, He sent down to the world. Six: people will live here, and finally the Last Day will come, they will be raised again in the realm of the Hereafter. Seven: after giving account before the Lord, Paradise or Hell. So we are playing the last parts of a whole series of episodes. We came into the world, part five. When you taste death and pass to the Hereafter, part six will come about. That is, our being raised when the Last Day comes. Part six will come about.
In part seven the accounts will be settled, Paradise or Hell. So little is left, little is left. In this case, in what way we were created, why we were created, why we came into the world: in the light of such beautiful verses we come to know ourselves, we come to know our surroundings, we come to know our world, we come to know the worlds. Our Lord, His messengers, what our Lord knows and what He made known, we come to know. Yes. In this way, in the light of the verses, we become aware. It both strengthens our faith and we prepare for your Hereafter. Yes.
We wanted people to listen to what we tell, so that it would not stay limited. But, God willing, these will be put on video, and by Allah's leave people will listen.
When Iblis was banished from the presence of Allah, unable to fit this into his own pride and ego, out of envy towards people he increased his rancour towards Allah Almighty. For this reason, to deceive people, to lie in ambush before them and to turn them away from Allah, he makes a request to Allah Almighty. Give me respite until the day people are raised again, he said.
The aim behind his obtaining this respite this way, as if his Lord did not know, judged by Iblis according to his own mind, was also to deceive people. Yet this event too was a part of the program. Yes, this event too is a part of the program. Because it goes part by part. I said this is a series of episodes; a part of this series of episodes, of this program, is being played. Yes. People will come to the visible world. The vile accursed one, the accursed one, will tempt the good and the bad. Yes. The vile accursed one will tempt the good and the bad. The good will not be caught by this temptation.
Those who rebel against Allah will take their place in the ranks of the accursed one. Thus people too, according to the verse Allah Almighty revealed, according to the verse "We test you through one another", will be tested. Yes.
In the verse, aduvvallâhi ve aduvveküm, your enemies, O Allah's enemies, it says. They interpret this verse wrongly too. Our enemies, sir, and Allah's enemy, well, the unbelievers. These and those. Yet in the verse aduvvallâhi ve aduvveküm, your enemies, my enemies are not the unbelievers. What if an unbeliever is my enemy? What if a non-Muslim is my enemy? Indeed, (?) if I am not strong enough, he kills me; his enmity does not make me responsible in the sight of Allah Almighty, or it does not get me thrown (?) into Hell. But if I take my place beside my enemy, that gets me thrown into Hell. Not the unbeliever. The enemy in me.
Who is the enemy in me? The nafs. What else? Satan. What else? The world. A swamp. I have three enemies. Everyone has three enemies. So, aduvvallâhi ve aduvveküm? Your enemies and Allah's enemy, it says. Look. Allah's enemy. So my enemy is within me. My nafs, Satan and the world. My nafs never shows me the way in the path of Allah. And Satan, to set traps for me on the path to Allah, constantly (?), gives temptations. The world looks rosy to man, alluring. Look, today for three pennies of worldly gain people commit what dishonour, what indignity, they recognise neither honour nor (?).
Is this humanity?
Show loyalty to what Allah created with your life, your honour, your whole being, and be ungrateful to Allah.
These are
people beyond reason, people from whom even Satan keeps his distance. Even Satan flees from such people.
Can you show a proof? By Allah, I can. At the Battle of Badr he deceives people, he gets an army prepared. When they come near Badr, today, he says, I am free of you. By Allah, he says, I see what you do not see, he says. Today, he says, I (?) from you, he says. He runs back. Yes. But those (?) wage war against the Prophet (peace be upon him), who came as a mercy to the worlds, and they go to the place they deserve anyway. Yes.
to lie in ambush before them and turn them away from Allah, he makes a request to Allah Almighty. Give me respite until the day people are raised again, he says. Yes. The (?) behind this respite being obtained in such a way, as if he did not know his Lord, judged by Iblis according to his own mind, was also to deceive people. Yet this event too was a part of the program. People will come to the visible world. The vile accursed one will tempt the good and the bad. The good, the good will not be caught by this temptation. Those who rebel against Allah will take their place in the ranks of the accursed one.
Thus people too, according to the verse Allah Almighty revealed, according to the verse "We test you through one another", will be tested. These events, again as in the verse I explained above, are the created ones, within their will, dragging themselves to ruin by their own wish. By their own wish, by using their partial will. Allah tells people these events so that those who do not lean on Allah, those who do not obey Allah, are surely the ones who harm their own selves. Yes, because every mind is deficient, it will surely make mistakes, and if it does not obey Allah, it will come to loss. If it makes a mistake while obeying Allah and feels remorse, Allah will forgive it.
Here it is understood that Allah is free of deficient attributes. All created things are in need of Allah. And those who rebel against Him are the ones who seek eternal punishment.
