And thus, he fooled them by deception. When they tasted the fruit of the tree, their intimate parts appeared to them. And they covered themselves with leaves from Paradise. Their Lord said; “Did I not forbid this tree for you and say that Shaytan is a clear enemy for you?”
Tafsir
So the demon deceived Adam 'alaihis-salâm' and our mother Eve. He made them eat the fruit of the tree by swearing in the name of Allah. Thereupon, they became alarmed when their covered places of modesty appeared to them. They began to cover their modesty with the leaves of Paradise.
(Their Lord cried out to them, "Did I not forbid you that tree, and did I not tell you that Satan is a manifest enemy to you?") Allah, who is watching these situations, informs people that He is watching His creation in a program. How could Allah, who saw that they ate the fruit of the tree and saw that their modesty was opened to them, be unaware of the occurrence of these events and that the angel deceived Adam 'alaihis-salâm' and Mother Eve? Does anything happen outside of Allah's will?
Allah, Who gives His creatures their will according to their desires and wishes, declares that they will surely make mistakes by doing things according to their own minds, and that they will be saved from their mistakes only by seeking refuge in Allah.
Let's say Iblis made a mistake and did not prostrate to Adam. If Allah had not played a game of logic when He asked Iblis why he did not prostrate to Adam, and if he had asked Allah for forgiveness for what he had done, would Allah not have forgiven Iblis? As a matter of fact, the demon came to the Prophet at Allah's command and answered the Prophet's questions. When the Prophet's first question was, who is the one you dislike the most in the world, he said, "You". After many questions, the Prophet (SAW) said to the demon, "Abu Murra, come and prostrate yourself on the grave of Adam (as) and I will forgive you to Allah. Iblis replied, "I swear by Allah, Who made you the orator of the people of Paradise and made me the orator of the people of Hell, that I will not prostrate to Adam, I did not prostrate to the living of Adam, so that I should prostrate to the dead, and the writings were written and the pens were broken.
Since Satan is a clear enemy of man, if a person falls for his temptations, he will be a pity to his own soul.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-A'raf, verse 22 — we have come to it. Surah Al-A'raf, 22nd verse: So he deceived them by trickery; when they tasted the fruit of the tree, their shameful parts became visible to them. And they began to cover themselves with leaves of Paradise. Their Lord called to them: Did I not forbid you that tree? And did He not say that Satan is a clear enemy to you? — so He called out. There is no place, nothing, that Allah Almighty does not see at that very instant. No sooner have they eaten — when their private parts are exposed to them, that layer of mist disperses. As soon as their private parts are exposed, they try to cover themselves with leaves of Paradise.
And so Allah Almighty calls out to them. Thus Iblis deceived Adam (peace be upon him) and our mother Eve by trickery. A Satan who got as far as Paradise, who Adam (peace be upon him), our father, deceived there and pushed down to the world, and who in the world deals with his descendants, trying to expose them to the fire of Hell — how can you fall for the temptation of such a Satan? Is your nafs so given to vain desire? Are you, in such pride and arrogance, making a god of your own nafs, so full of desire for your life in the world? Look, Allah Almighty tells of so many events. In the face of the accursed one's great enmity to man, how can you follow the accursed one, how can you fall for that accursed one's temptation and, along with your nafs, accept the suffering you will endure, and follow the accursed one's path?
Well now, can this mind you use be called a mind? Is this a mind, then? Yes.
Thus Iblis deceived Adam (peace be upon him) and our mother Eve by trickery.
Something else came to my mind.
We all love our mother and father very much.
We love our children very much.
Someone came and killed your mother, your father, your child. And a non-Muslim at that. Even if he were a Muslim, a blood feud (?). A non-Muslim. He killed your mother, your father, those you love most.
Would you make friends with him? Now act by consulting your own conscience. Your mother, your father, your beloved children, your close relatives — a non-Muslim killed them. Would you rejoice at their death and make friends with that enemy of yours? This one is even worse than that, even worse. From our father Adam until the Day of Judgement, our offspring, our families, our fathers, our children who will come — he deceives them.
He will busy himself with our generations all the way until the Day of Judgement. How can you make friends with him? How can you not tell your wife and children that the temptation Satan gives you is (?) and that he is your mortal enemy? And how can you go after him and follow his tracks? Now compare yourself for once. With your nafs. By following his temptation, or by standing with your faith against him — compare yourself. Yes.
By swearing in Allah's name he made them eat from the tree's fruit. Upon this, when their hidden private parts became visible to them, they panicked. They began to cover their private parts with leaves of Paradise. Their Lord called to them: Did I not forbid you that tree, and did I not tell you that Satan is a clear enemy to you? Allah, watching these situations, tells people that, within a program of the beings He created, He is watching. Allah, who sees them eat of the tree's fruit and their private parts exposed to them — these events coming to pass, the accursed one's deceiving Adam (peace be upon him) and our mother Eve, could He be unaware of them? Can any event come to pass outside Allah's will?
Is that possible? I mean, Allah would be unaware that Adam was deceived? Or He would be unaware that Satan would enter Paradise? Is that possible? As I said a moment ago, those hints, those narrations, how Satan supposedly told Ridwan: turn your back, and so on. Those are narrations, but if we really apply logic to the matter, Allah Almighty — Allah Almighty — told Ridwan, for one time only, to allow Satan to enter Paradise. Otherwise the angel would not let anything else in there. Nor would he turn his back. He does not go against commands. Yes.
So Allah, who grants every one He created their wishes according to their desire and will — that with the deeds they do by their own minds they will surely err, and only by taking refuge in Allah will they be saved from the mistakes they make, Allah declares. Yes.
Adam (peace be upon him) did just that. Yes. What did he do? When Adam (peace be upon him) came to the world, for the sake of the one whose name, together with Your name, You wrote, he says, forgive me.
How do you know, He says. I saw it while walking around Paradise, he says. You wrote his name with Your name, he says. Yes.
We will explain more, God willing, we will come to it; always like this, well we will come to know our friend and our enemy.
yes, only by taking refuge in Allah will they be saved from their mistakes, Allah declares, for He created the human mind deficient; since man is deficient, He knows he is and will be laden with mistakes, so that He says: had you not committed mistakes, We would destroy you and create on earth servants who commit mistakes. In this situation, since He knows people will err too, the aim is, after making the mistake, to take refuge in Allah and ask for forgiveness and pardon. Adam did exactly the same. When he came to the world, he took refuge in Allah Almighty and asked for forgiveness and pardon.
Yes. He receives the prayers of the people who will come until the Day of Judgement too. Adam (peace be upon him).
Let's say Iblis made a mistake. He did not prostrate to Adam. If, when Allah said to Iblis: why did you not prostrate to Adam, he had not played a game of logic and had asked Allah's forgiveness for what he did, would Allah not have forgiven Iblis? For instance, let's say Allah Almighty said: prostrate to Adam, but Iblis did not prostrate. When He said: why did you not prostrate, if he had not played that game of logic, had he not said: me You created from fire, him from mud; mud does not purify fire, fire purifies mud — but instead said: my God, for a moment I gave in to my nafs, to pride, to arrogance.
That is why I did not prostrate. Had he prostrated, would Allah not have forgiven him? He would have forgiven. Yes.
Indeed, Iblis, who came to the Prophet by Allah's command, answered the Prophet's questions. When the Prophet's (peace be upon him) first question was: whom in the world do you most dislike? he says: you, O Messenger of Allah. The Messenger of Allah knows him. I mean, he said: you. After many questions, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to Iblis: O Abu Murra, come, if you prostrate at the grave of Adam (peace be upon him), I will have Allah forgive you. Iblis's answer was: by Allah, who made you the preacher of the people of Paradise and me the preacher of the people of Hell, I swear I will not prostrate to Adam.
I did not prostrate to Adam alive, so why would I prostrate to him dead. And the writings have been written, the pens that wrote them have been broken, he says. So, since Iblis is a clear enemy to man, if man is deceived by the temptation he gives, he will have wronged his own self. Yes.
