Tafsir
Allah (swt) has sent you two garments, one is the garment that covers your modesty and the other is the libas (clothing) that protects people from the heat and cold. But besides this, We have sent you another garment, which is the garment of taqwa. Taqwa in our religion means abstaining from doubtful things for the sake of Allah, paying attention to what is lawful and unlawful. For example, if a person buys a fruit or a meal for another person, or offers you a treat, you need to know whether this man's earnings are halal or haram, and from what means he earns his income. If he is earning badly, you should not accept what he offers you without breaking his heart with a sweet tongue. But at another time, as a commandment, you will warn him to make sure that the earnings are halal.
When he says that the dress of piety is better, people who are adorned with piety are devoted to Allah. They do not neglect their worship and prayers and do good deeds. They get along well with people and always recommend good. They also observe manners and etiquette. They love and protect their little ones. They do not fail to respect and honor their elders. They do everything for the sake of Allah.
People of piety who have embraced Islam attach great importance to morality and justice.
Truth and justice, these two elements are Taqwa. They are adorned with it. They are the trustworthy among people. Allah wants people to be like this and not to create mischief on the earth, so He has commanded people to spread justice and to prevent indecency and immorality. These are the Signs of Allah. Maybe people will think about it and take a lesson from it.
What is said in the video
Now, verse 26 of Surah Al-A'raf: O children of Adam! For you, clothing to cover your private parts and garments for adornment We have created. The garment of taqwa — that is better. These are among the signs of Allah. He sent them down so that perhaps they reflect and take heed, says Allah Almighty. Our Lord addresses both the outer and the inner. He created our bodies, created humans as the noblest of creatures, in glory, honor, chastity and virtue made them the most excellent of His creatures, and so how His creation should dress, its clothing, He made known to people. How should they dress? People will dress so as not to show their contours.
Women will be covered from the edge of their brows and chin, from the wrist bones down to the shin bones. Because she has been created very honorable. He does not want this very honorably created human to be hurt by other people. In this way, as long as our ladies are covered, toward other people they are clad in armor, armor. And since people cannot recognize them, and since their private parts are not exposed, they do not dare to harass them with lustful feelings. Yes, since Allah Almighty knows human character, He made known how our ladies should dress. But right now all people are stark naked.
Yes, of course I'm not saying all of them. Those who fear Allah are the exception. But the majority is like this. And so they are being bothered. From all around, constantly they are being prodded. All sorts of demands come. Even though they are married, many people start to harass them. They (?) them about some people I mean, that word doesn't quite come to my mind now. Let's call it 'blocking'. That is, they threaten: I'll do this to you, I'll do that. Or else: I'll report you like this, because you did this, I'll make such complaints against you, he says. Yes, so they intimidate women, use them for their own interests. And in this way people are harmed, they lose their lives, homes are destroyed, all their lives, in pangs of conscience, they live as sinners.
And in our religion, such people must be stoned. Allah Almighty, so that people protect their glory and honor, makes known how they should dress. We have sent down to you two garments, He says. Two: first, the garments that cover your private parts. Second, taqwa, He says. What is taqwa? It is that believing people, believing people, relying on Allah Almighty's Sharia ruling, abstaining from His halal and haram, in the most beautiful way, bound by our Lord's verses, finding it sweet, live by it. They ask the Prophet (peace be upon him): What is taqwa, O Messenger of Allah? Striking his hand on his heart three times, he says: This is it.
Taqwa is here, he says. Taqwa is here. That is, with that faith in the heart, in the most beautiful way, avoiding Allah Almighty's commands and prohibitions, living. Indeed, in a person wrapped in taqwa, that — within His Sharia ruling, however our Lord has commanded us to dress, he applies it that way more beautifully. The person who has taqwa. So turn to taqwa, He says. To taqwa. What does He say? The garment of taqwa. That is better, He says. That is better. Yes. These are among the signs of Allah. Because in taqwa there are good manners, modesty, chastity — everything is within taqwa. Your Lord's commands are within taqwa.
The more you turn to taqwa, the more you are bound by Allah's commands, and the more you turn to taqwa, with the nafs (?) you rise to the gate of karamat. If you turn to taqwa even more, reform your nafs, and with your Lord's commands bind yourself, you attain the manifestations of the nafs al-mutma'inna. Yes. Allah Almighty: We have sent you two garments. The first is the garment that covers your private parts and also protects people from heat and cold — garments. That is, clothes. Yes.
The word I couldn't say earlier, the word about women I couldn't say, has come to me. They blackmail women. Blackmail. Them into unthinkable places, I mean, by blackmailing them, they use women as their own tools for themselves. In this case the woman — if she had been bound by Allah's command, if she had been covered, would she attract other men's attention this way, would she be exposed to such blackmail? Today most people are in these situations. Yes, they blackmail women.
Allah Almighty: We have sent you two garments. The first is the garment that covers your private parts and also protects people from heat and cold — garments. That is, clothing. But besides this We have sent you another garment, and this is the garment of taqwa. In our religion taqwa means, for Allah's sake, paying attention to halal and haram and avoiding doubtful things. For example, if someone buys a fruit or a meal for someone, offers you a treat — is this man's income halal or haram? In what ways he earns his income — this must be known. If he earns a bad income, what he offered — with a kind word, without hurting his feelings — you don't accept.
But at another time, as enjoining what is right, you remind him that income should be earned lawfully. Yes. Yes, I wrote it already. I didn't look at Cafer, but he wrote 'blackmail' there. Yes, we said blackmail.
When He says the garment of taqwa is better: people adorned with taqwa are bound to Allah from the heart. They do not neglect their obedience and worship, they do good deeds. They get along well with people and always recommend good. They also observe good manners and etiquette. They love and protect those younger than them. They take care not to fail in respect and reverence toward their elders. They do everything seeking Allah's pleasure. These are people adorned with taqwa.
