Oh Children of Adam! Shaytan should not fool you as he fooled your father and mother when he showed them their intimate parts and had them expelled from Paradise. Verily, he and his followers can see you from where you cannot see them. Verily, devils are friends of those who do not believe in Us (in Allah).

Tafsir

Allah (swt) warned people, reminding them of our father Adam and mother Eve and showing them examples of what happened to them; O Children of Adam! Satan deceived your parents by undressing them so that they might show them their parts. Let him not deceive you as he deceived our father Adam and mother Eve by stripping you of your clothes. He says, "Do not let it lead you into immorality by stripping your clothes.

This is a great warning to people. In the previous Verse, Allah spoke about Taqwa and we tried to explain what Taqwa is. We said that Allah values justice and morality, and one of the branches of morality is the parts of the body that Allah commands people to cover their modesty. Allah does not command immodesty and immorality. In this respect, if Allah expelled our father Adam and mother Eve from paradise because their modesty was exposed to them, I wonder how Allah will treat people who willingly strip naked or dress as if they have no clothes on, who willingly expose all their modesty by inclining towards the world, glory, fame, pride, arrogance, ego and material greed.

If we try to compare the expulsion of our father Adam from paradise with the expulsion of our father Adam from paradise and the people who take pleasure in exposing their modesty voluntarily, and who follow them by adopting their behavior, it will never be comparable. Because our father Adam committed a mistake by being deceived by the angel. He was deceived because he knew not to swear by Allah and because of his good intentions and because he loved Allah very much. And who deceived these people? They were deceived by those who took their enemies as friends in return for Allah's insistent warning to people not to follow the nafs and the devil. So, if people who follow their own ego and the devil take a share from this verse, pay attention to the verses of Allah, repent, ask for forgiveness and turn to Allah, they will save themselves. Allah is All-Forgiving. Most accepting of repentance. Otherwise, these people will not be able to see paradise as easily as Allah (swt) took Hazrat Adam and Mother Eve out of paradise.

This is because the devils see people from places where people cannot see them, and they move in the channels of their blood and give them temptations. Those who fall for these temptations, as Allah (swt) says in the continuation of His verse, "Indeed, the devils are the friends of those who do not believe in Us".

So, whoever befriends the devil, whom Allah has expelled from His presence, is dragging himself to hell, as the destination of the evil one is hell, and the one who befriends the devil is dragging himself to hell. In a verse, Allah (swt) says, "Do not be like them, whoever is like them, they are like them" and in a hadith, the Prophet (s.a.w.) says, "A person will be killed with the one he loves".

The verse "Do not be like them" means that people who are enemies of Allah, people who turn their backs on Allah, people who associate partners with Allah, are the friends of Satan on earth. Shaytan makes immorality and ugly ways look good to people. Whoever adopts such people, follows them and becomes like them, their destination will be Hell.

What is said in the video

Let's read the first (?) again. O children of Adam, just as Satan, to show your parents their private parts, stripped them of their garments and drove them out of Paradise, let him not deceive you too, He says. Let him not strip you too. And now how nicely he strips. With the desires of the nafs. Now, the Black Sea people have a saying. It goes: empty stomach, cool highlands. That is, although they have no means, no material means at all, so that people say 'I'm rich', so that they say 'I'm high society' — whatever feeling this is, whatever whim comes over a person — disregarding Allah's command a person uncovers more and more.

The more naked you go about, the more people say: look how nicely so-and-so goes about. It's astonishing. Everything is turned upside down like this. You know, this is the face of our hand. It turns upside down like that. Instead of saying how badly she dresses, they say how beautifully she dresses, and people (?) her. With such clothes people compete with one another. They compete.

For he and his followers see you from where you cannot see them. Indeed, the devils are the friends of those who do not believe in Us, He says. Yes, the devils are the friends of those who do not believe in Allah.

Because they are people who act outside Allah's command in a way that would outdo even Satan.

Allah Almighty gives us an example. He gives examples from our father Adam and our mother Eve. He says: O son of Adam, since you come from the same lineage, that is, from the lineage of Adam and Eve — your elders, your mother and father, he drove out while they were in Paradise, he put you into hardships in the world, into troubles. If such an enemy deceived your mother and father, stripped them and exposed their private parts, do not you fall into the same error, He says. He shows it to you as an example. An example. Do not fall into the same error. Do not commit those errors. If you do, if you do, since there is no longer anywhere else to go — well, he came from Paradise to the world.

Since there is no longer anywhere else to go, if you too step outside Allah's command, if you live as a non-Muslim and make concessions from Islam, (?) as a non-Muslim, your second place of return is the place that is eternal Hell. Allah protect us; do not wrong yourself in this passing worldly realm, your life, which compared to the hereafter is lived in hours — do not bring it to the (?) of an eternal, endless life. Your reason — use your reason; reason is a great blessing for a person. In this case, the world's pain and suffering, its joy and pleasure come to an end; its pain and suffering also end. But in the hereafter neither the pain and suffering end, nor the joy and pleasure end.

If you can continue your life in the joy and pleasure of the hereafter, how happy for you. That means we got away. If not, and we are included in that pain and suffering, Allah Almighty says in His verse: there they neither live nor die. What is living? In the world now, let me tell you, if you had yachts, if you had palaces, if you had the finest cars, if you had money in your pocket and a good income too, wouldn't you live in joy and pleasure as you wish? Joy and pleasure. Living — wouldn't you do what you desire? Now take the complete (?) of this: nothing at all. A stark naked person. Can't find work.

Sometimes hungry, sometimes full. Under this one's or that one's protection, under this one's or that one's slap, he lives. He lives too. He lives, but between you and him there is an unspeakably great difference. In this case, the pain and suffering here do not resemble the pain and suffering of the hereafter, the punishment of Hell; it doesn't resemble this place. So, from that punishment of that place, to be saved, we must listen to Allah Almighty's verse; we must, by His verses that shine a light before us, be bound. And what to our mother and father in the past the accursed one did, whatever he did — our Lord, to us reminding of it — that he showed him enmity, stripped his garment, made him stark naked and sent him to the world — isn't this a good example for you?

Isn't this a good test for us? So how can we turn a blind eye to these, to these events turn our backs, and with that Satan, the enemy of Allah Almighty, strike up a friendship?

Yes. We must pay attention to these.

Allah Almighty warns people, reminding them of our father Adam and our mother Eve, showing what befell them as examples to people, examples: O children of Adam, O people, Satan deceived and stripped your parents to show them their private parts. Let him not deceive you too by stripping you of your garments, that is, of your clothes, just as he drove our forefather Adam and our mother Eve out of Paradise. Just as he drove them out of Paradise and sent them to the world — and they still had time ahead of them. There were events yet to be lived. And then the doors of repentance were open.

But if your — if our doors of repentance close, since there is nowhere for us to go, into that punishment of Hell that befits him, let him never drag us too. Yes. Just as he drove our forefather Adam and our mother Eve out of Paradise, let him not deceive you too. Let him not push you into immorality by stripping your clothes, He says. Allah Almighty: let him not push you further into immorality. Yes.

There is a great warning to people here, a great warning. One: in the previous verse Allah spoke of taqwa. Of taqwa. And we tried to explain what taqwa is. Yes, we said Allah values justice and morality very much. One branch of morality is the private parts on people that Allah commanded be covered. It is what we call manners and propriety — edep.

In the Rifa'i lodge they say: Edep ya hu — manners. Allah does not command shamelessness and immorality, does not command shamelessness and immorality. Allah does not command shameful deeds to people. Outside Allah's Sharia ruling, such temptations that come to people are commanded by a person's own nafs and by Satan, who is an enemy to man. If you follow Satan, if you fall for Satan's temptation, it pleases the whims of your nafs too; if you deify your nafs, then for a few hours of pleasure in the passing world, to satisfy your nafs, you take on the eternal pain and suffering of the hereafter.

Allah does not command shamelessness and immorality. So, because their private parts were exposed to them, if Allah drove our father Adam, our father Adam and our mother Eve, out of Paradise, what about people who incline to the world, with fame, glory, pride, arrogance, ego and greed and craving for material things, of their own desire and wish strip stark naked or dress as if they had no clothes on, and display all their private parts of their own will — I wonder how Allah will treat them?

Our mother Eve, our father Adam were deceived in Paradise — while, as we said before, Allah Almighty's (?) adventure, they played a part of it — within their own wills, against our Lord's command, because they went against it being deceived, sent to the world, our forefather Adam and our mother Eve, by our Lord's justice, although they were sent to the world for going against His command — but these people, without being deceived, within the desires of their own nafs, according to the verse 'have you not seen the one who deifies his nafs',

a person strips stark naked, feels desire for what Allah has given, does not carry out Allah's command, and to obtain what Allah created displays himself to everyone in all his nakedness — will such a person tomorrow, tomorrow at the Resurrection, in the presence of Allah Almighty, have a word left to say? And by what his own two hands have earned he goes to the place he deserves. What does Allah Almighty say? We wrong no soul, He says. All souls wrong themselves. Themselves. With our father Adam's expulsion from Paradise — those who display their private parts of their own will and enjoy it, and people who embrace their state and follow them — if we try to compare them with our father Adam's expulsion from Paradise, there is no comparison at all.

As I said a moment ago, our father Adam's private parts being exposed, being punished by Allah Almighty's attribute of justice, being sent to the world — if we compare that with people who of their own desire and wish display their private parts, there is no comparison at all, we say. Why? As I said a moment ago, one was deceived. (?), he was clean. He didn't know lies, lies. When an oath was sworn in Allah's name — because he loved Allah so much — he took it as true. So, according to the verse that deeds depend on intentions, learning a part of that great (?) adventure, Allah Almighty sent Adam (peace be upon him) to the world, in the face of His justice, and through his remorse accepted his prayers.

And finally he joined the righteous servants. If you do not know Allah, step outside His command, display yourself, and in that pride and arrogance of the nafs go on, exactly as they lived in the old times — they used to say reaction has risen from the grave, about the Muslims. If you raise reaction from the grave — and it is they themselves who raise reaction — then it is punishment upon punishment (?). Hodja, you said Muslims raised reaction from the grave, but how did these raise reaction?

Yes. Look how these raise reaction from the grave. Actually, they themselves are reaction. Islam is not reaction. Islam is intelligent, reason, (?), conscious and a forward-looking person. A person (?) forward. Reaction looks back — to what? To indecency, to immorality. In the time of the idolaters, blessed Mecca was full of idols. In Mecca, at the House of Allah, it was full of idols. Saying they were worshipping, men and women there stripped stark naked. They whistled. They whistled. Clapping their hands, they circled around those idols. How did they circle? Stripped stark naked. As naked as the day they were born.

Whistling, clapping their hands, around those idols they circled. Now pay attention. Is reaction rising from the grave or not? Those immoral ones, (?), their dead with clapping they send off. Now (?). Is it the Muslim? Or these? Reaction cannot be the Muslim. Because if Allah is the Owner of these worlds, if He brought these worlds into being from nothing, and if He is the Creator, if He is compassionate and merciful to His servants, if He cares about His servants' future and wants to bring His servants out of (?) into light, His verses cannot be reaction. Rather, those who turn their backs on His verses are reaction.

Yes. Those who turn their backs on His verses are reaction, and today we see them. We see them.

Because our forefather Adam, deceived by the accursed one, made a mistake, because he knew no oath would be sworn falsely in Allah's name, and from his good intention and his great love for Allah he was deceived. But who deceived these people? Who deceived them? (?) who deceived them? Those who turn their backs on Allah's verses and do not embrace them, do not embrace them. Allah Almighty says they are Satan's friends, doesn't He. He deceived himself. Not even Satan deceived him. Because a person's will is very strong. He deceived himself. He fell for the whims of his nafs. And together with his nafs he ended up as Satan's friend.

In response to Allah Almighty insistently warning people, 'do not follow the nafs and Satan', by those who take the enemies as friends, enemies, by their enemies, by those who take them as friends, he was deceived. So people who follow Satan with their own nafs, taking a lesson from this verse, a share for themselves, paying attention to Allah's verses, turn in repentance and seek forgiveness. If they return to Allah, they save themselves.

Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. He is the One who accepts repentance abundantly. Otherwise, just as Allah Almighty drove Adam and our mother Eve out of Paradise, these people will not easily see Paradise.

The devils see people from places where people cannot see them. They see them. Never mind seeing — they even move through the bloodstream. Never mind moving through the bloodstream — they even whisper temptations to him. And moving through the bloodstream, they whisper temptations to them. Those who fall for these temptations — as Allah Almighty states in the continuation of the verse: Indeed, the devils are the friends of those who do not believe in Us, He declares. Yes, they are the friends of those who do not believe in Allah.

Whoever takes the Satan whom Allah drove from His presence as a friend — since the accursed one's destination is Hell, the person who is Satan's friend also drags himself into Hell. In a hadith: a person is resurrected with whom he loves. Yes. Whatever you loved — you loved your nafs, and your nafs commanded you to be with the world, with Satan. Wherever they are, you are there too. Yes. In a verse Allah Almighty says: do not be like them. Whoever resembles them is like them. In a hadith the Prophet (peace be upon him) — as we said, a person is resurrected with whom he loves — declares. In the verse 'do not be like them': people who are enemies of Allah, who turn their backs on Allah, who associate partners with Allah, are the friends of Satan on earth.

Satan makes immorality and ugly ways look attractive to people. Whoever embraces such people, follows them, becomes like them, their destination is the fire of Hell.

Yes. So the place to be gone to is the fire of Hell.
