One group has found the right path and one group has continued with going astray. This is because they have left Allah and befriended the Shaytan. And they think that they are on the right path.
Tafsir
That one group has found the right path. This Verse leads us to the address (Elestu bi Rabbikum). When Allah (swt) addressed people in the state of spirits (in Kalu Bela) and told them that I am your Lord, they were divided into groups based on whether they knew Allah or not. Allah reminded them of Kalu Bela and said: (fa ashabul meymenati ma ashabul meymeneh) those on the right, those who knew Allah, those who said yes, found the right path. (And He made a group of people deserving of deviation) those on the left He said: (fa ashabul mashamati ma ashabul mashameh) those who disbelieved in Allah. And they chose error by disbelieving in Allah.
In one of his hadiths, the Prophet (PBUH) explains this verse (Allah created the spirits in the twilight, He scattered something of His light on them, and those who received that light found the path, and those who did not receive that light were misguided and wandered). When He said, "I am your Lord," those who knew Allah as Allah and obeyed Him found the right path. And those who disbelieved in disobedience to Allah went astray, that is, they chose error.
Those who have gone astray, those who have made misguidance their own, those who follow evil paths, they follow the enemy of Allah, Satan, according to the covenant they have made, and they make him their friend. Shaytan makes their deeds look gilded to them. When the ego thinks that they are right, they wander in the dark and misguided paths, thinking that they are on the right path.
It is those who, having no knowledge of Allah's knowledge, make decisions according to their own minds and think that they are right, are the ones who are subject to every stubborn devil.
What is said in the video
Of Surah Al-A'raf, we have come to verse 30. This is a verse that has been explained wrongly. A verse explained wrongly. The verse is not wrong, God forbid. People pronounce it wrongly. And they say this man, how shall I put it, calls the verses wrong, God forbid. Surah Al-A'raf, from here.
Yes. Which verse is it? Verse thirty. Surah Al-A'raf, verse 30.
Now, this is how they have written it. Let us find the wrong one from here. Let's read the wrong one.
Verse 30: He guided one group to the right path, it says. That is, Allah Almighty guided one group to the right path. and for another group misguidance became their due, it says. For a group misguidance became their due. Come on, play this. I mean, in terms of meaning. (?) misguidance became their due. But He guided one group to the right path, it says. Well, those created were Allah's servants. Allah Almighty does not act unjustly among His servants. He does not discriminate. And in that address, Alastu bi Rabbikum, He made a covenant with each one and gave them their own wishes as their destiny.
In that case, did Allah Almighty act unjustly and guide to the right path one group that He liked? And the others deserved, deserved punishment? Yes.
And right after, it now says the correct thing anyway. Because they abandoned Allah and took the devils as their friends. And yet they think they are on the right path, it says. In the first statement at the beginning they have ascribed an attribute to Allah. He guided one group to the right path, it says. Whereas that one group found the right path. that is, that one group of people found the right path. From what? When Allah Almighty said, I am your Lord, according to His verse, do you not use your reason at all, that group knew there is no other god besides Allah and it found the right path.
What does it say? That one group found the right path. And a group continued in misguidance. Not that misguidance became their due. They continued in misguidance. Because they abandoned Allah and took the devils as their friends. And yet they think they are on the right path. Yes.
We left that part incomplete. Let's write this here. Let's complete it.
Now we are both explaining the verses and, when they ascribe attributes to Allah Almighty, trying to free Him from those attributes. Allah Almighty (?). That one group found the right path, and a group He made deserving of misguidance. Because they abandoned Allah and took the devils as their friends, and yet they think they are on the right path.
That one group found the right path, and for a group misguidance became their due. Because they abandoned Allah and took the devils as their friends. And yet they think they are on the right path. Yes. As I said earlier, Allah Almighty does not scold at all. I gave you reason, so don't you know that this is misguidance? You do this by following your own nafs. So I will punish you. He does not (?) like that. What does it say? They think they are on the right path. So use your reason, He says, (?) to what is right. How kindly Allah Almighty gives them time. That one group found the right path. This verse takes us to the address Alastu bi Rabbikum, we say.
When Allah Almighty, at Qalu Bala, while people were in the state of souls, addressed them and said, I am your Lord, the souls were divided into groups according to whether they knew Allah or not. So Allah, reminding of Qalu Bala, those people of the right, that is, those who knew Allah, who said yes, found the right path. And for this group misguidance became their due. That is, the people of the left, whom He describes by their denying Allah. They, out of their own nafs, desire and pride, out of their kufr, turned their backs on Allah. They waited for the Lord of their imagination. That is why they could not believe in Allah.
This is the whole crux of the matter for people. Would a person deny Allah? he says. Of course, if, as I told you earlier, He had leaned down from the clouds in such majesty, saying I am your Lord, er, I, I, in that case I would certainly have obeyed Allah. Yes. If you see Allah Almighty like your own self, like yourself, now, no offence in the comparison. God forbid. If I now came out before you and said, I created you, I am your Lord, who would believe me?
Only one who uses his reason would believe. How would he believe? Yes, we were created. We have no past. We suddenly came into being. Yes, we were created. (?) He says: I created you. And beside Him there is one who confirms, saying: yes, this is our Lord. That is, this is the Creator. Who is that? The Prophet (peace be upon him). Even so, of course, some people, carried away by the desires of the nafs, out of their arrogance and pride: Oh come on, who are you anyway? he says. He turns his back. He waits for the Lord of his imagination. Those are the ones who will not see their Lord, as it says in the verse, Allah Almighty.
Had We willed, We would have created you as one community. We would have leaned down from the clouds with angels and made you prostrate, with these verses. Well, since He left us free with our will, He wanted us to know our Lord with our own awareness. In this case, since He created us close to His Self, people out of pride and arrogance turned their backs on Him. So in this case Allah Almighty says to the Prophet (peace be upon him): My beloved, pay no attention to their calling you a liar, pay no attention. In their time they betrayed Me too, He says. Yes. This is the real core, the crux of it.
Of people. So Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. Of deficient attributes. I will send you, He says, to a world where My Self is not seen. So that you (?): my God, I saw You here. You looked very much like me. I could not recognize You as my Lord. You should have sent me to an unseen world, a world where Your Self is not seen. There I would have worshipped You. That is why the material world was created. So Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes. No one will be able to call Him to account. Come on now, there is the field. Our Lord is not seen. In this case He makes His Self known.
Never mind His making Himself known, He lights our way with all kinds of verses. Besides that, He has held His Holy Quran before people as a light, in a way every person can understand. In a way every mind can understand, Allah Almighty does not refrain from giving the example of a mosquito or something greater, it says. He spreads every kind of example before you. Yet you (?) the nafs, and call up here the same feeling you had there. In that case, when you deserve punishment or torment, in the face of Allah's justice, did Allah act unjustly, or did you, by going against Allah's command, the command of the One who created you, deserve that punishment?
Yes. One must think a lot, think well. So one group found the right path, that one group found the right path. And for a group misguidance became their due. Because they abandoned Allah and took the devils as their friends. And yet they think they are on the right path. That one group found the right path.
this verse takes us to the address. When Allah Almighty, at Qalu Bala, while people were in the state of souls, addressed them and said, I am your Lord, the souls, abandoning Allah, were divided into groups according to whether they knew Allah or not, according to their state. Yes.
In this case the people of the right, the people of the left and a middle group, the group of the foremost, came about. So the Prophet (peace be upon him) explains this verse in one of his hadiths. Allah created the souls in twilight darkness. He scattered some of His light upon them. Whoever took from that light found his way. Whoever could not take from that light lost his way and went astray. So when He said, I am your Lord, whoever knew Allah as Allah and obeyed found the right path. Those who opposed Allah and denied went astray and strayed. That is, they chose misguidance. Now, Allah created the souls in twilight darkness.
He scattered some of His light upon them. Whoever took from that light found his way. Whoever could not take from that light lost his way and went astray. This is exactly the counterpart of the address Alastu bi Rabbikum. The verse's counterpart as a hadith. As my Lord permitted me, I saw it. I always say this. I saw that world.
(?), I say. But you are free to believe me or not. That brings you no harm. Not believing brings no harm. But know this: I am explaining the verses. Now forget what I saw. I am explaining the verse. I will now explain the verse from the hadith. Allah Almighty creates the souls. Again in Surah Al-Waqi'ah, verses 7, 8, 9: wa kuntum azwajan thalathah, all pairs coming from one another are three classes, it says. Yes. As we said here: ashâbü'l-meymeneti mâ ashâbü'l-meymeneh, the people of the right, and ashâbü'l- meş'emeti mâ ashâbü'l-meş'emeh, the people of the left, and ve's-sâbikûne's-sâbikûn ülâike'l-mukarrabûn fî cennâti'n-naîm, we said.
A third part, the group of the foremost. These, in the twilight darkness of evening, in three companies. Opposite, the one at the very front can be seen, and the ones at the very back can be seen too.
Those who did military service know: company by company like this, first company, second company, third company, they line up like this, company by company toward the back. In fives, in sixes, sevens, in sevens, whatever, according to group size. In threes. Like this. There too they are lined up. Three companies. We hear the address of Allah Almighty. I am your Lord, He says. I created you. We look. We have suddenly come into being. We have no before. Yes. And so I was created. I was created. We realize this. Because every mind knows that it was created by a Lord. He has given that reason (?). We were created, we know this.
Is it Him, I wonder? If it had not been Him, all these created beings, the one who created us, to Him (?). Then, since there is no other Lord besides Him, that is, since no creator appears, it means that He created us. We don't know that the one beside Him is a prophet, but his confirmer, that is, that he is Muhammad (peace be upon him), we don't know, but in the world we understand that he is the Beloved of the Almighty, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Why do we understand this? Because the first one created is also from him. Yes, he says. He is our Lord. This is our Lord.
We see these things. So Allah created the souls in twilight darkness. He scattered some of His light upon them. That light is His saying: I am your Lord. His saying: I created you. Whoever took from that light found his way. That is, those who said yes, who confirmed Allah, found their way. Those who could not take from that light lost their way and went astray. We say the Quran is a light, don't we? Allah's word is a light. Those who could not take it, who turned their backs on it, lost their way and went astray. After that comes the covenant, and in the covenant it is Allah Almighty who works people's own wishes and desires, their aims, into them as characters and writes their destinies.
All in the light of the verses.
Without seeing it, these things cannot be told. They cannot be explained this way. And some say: wait, a cannon, they say, a cannonball was fired. Whoever that cannonball struck, they say, whoever it hit, well, he found his way. Oh, how nice, everything has been left to chance. Whereas Allah Almighty, who left everyone free in their own will, gave each person, by their own wishes and desires, by their own characters, what they asked of Allah Almighty as their aim, as their destiny, Allah Almighty did. Yes.
So the Prophet (peace be upon him) explains this verse in one of his hadiths, we said. Allah created the souls in twilight darkness. He scattered some of His light upon them. Whoever took from that light found his way. Whoever could not take from that light lost his way and went astray. When He said, I am your Lord, whoever knew Allah as Allah and obeyed found the right path. Those who opposed Allah and denied went astray and strayed. That is, they chose misguidance. Those who lost their way and went astray, who made themselves deserving of misguidance, who walk evil paths, they, according to the covenants they gave, follow Satan, the enemy of Allah, and take them as friends. Satan makes what they do look gilded to them.
When they see their nafs, their nafs and themselves as right, thinking they are on the right path, they keep wandering on misguided and dark paths. Yes.
So those who, while having no knowledge of Allah's knowledge, make decisions according to their own minds and see themselves as right, (?) follow Satan.
