Al-A'raf 38: (Allah will) say; “Enter into the hellfire together with the nations of jinn and humans past before you.” Every nation will curse their companions when they enter. When all of them gather there (in the hell) after each other, the ones who come after will say for the ones before; “Oh our Lord! These have led us astray; for this, give them more punishment of fire.” (Allah will) say; “For everyone, their punishments will be gathered, but you do not know.”

Translation

(Allah will) say; “Enter into the hellfire together with the nations of jinn and humans past before you.” Every nation will curse their companions when they enter. When all of them gather there (in the hell) after each other, the ones who come after will say for the ones before; “Oh our Lord! These have led us astray; for this, give them more punishment of fire.” (Allah will) say; “For everyone, their punishments will be gathered, but you do not know.”

Tafsir

When those who denied Allah and His Messenger, and disbelieved in the Verses of Allah, from among the jinn and mankind who preceded each tribe, when Hell is full, those who disbelieved from among the jinn and mankind who came after these tribes will be told to enter the Fire with those who preceded you. As they enter each Fire, they will curse their companions, that is, those who led them to disbelieve in Allah and His Verses while they were in this world.

(When each of them will be gathered in Hell one after another, the latter will say of the former, O our Lord, these are they who led us astray. So give them another layer of torment from the Fire). Had it not been in their nature to disbelieve in Allah, would they have followed the disbelieving people and followed them? So people who are the supervisors or administrators in a town, because they strive to lead the society away from Allah and lead themselves and the society to the wrong paths, their punishment is double the punishment of the common people.

Allah (swt) will say that the sins that everyone has already committed will be collected and given to them in full.

What is said in the video

Now we have come to Surah Al-A'raf, verse 38. This Surah Al-A'raf, verse 38, is one of the verses opened up wrongly. One of them. Well, we are correcting it anyway. Now,

in the verse it has been opened up

like this. First let us read the wrongly opened verse. Then let us read the correct version we corrected, the correct version of the verse.

Verse 38: Allah will say: Among the communities, the communities of jinn and men that passed before you, you too enter the fire. That is, those polytheists; these parts are correct. Those who deny Allah, non-Muslims, people with various ideologies, what will they be told? What will Allah Almighty say? Among the communities of jinn and men that passed before you, you too enter the fire. Every time a community enters, it will curse its companions, He says. They will curse one another. These parts are correct. When they have all gathered there in hell one after another, the later ones will say of the earlier ones: O our Lord, these are the ones who led us astray.

These parts are correct. Now the wrong begins. So give them a double punishment of the fire, they will say. And Allah: already for everyone there is a double punishment. But you do not know, they will say, it says. What does it say now? Look at the wrong. At the wrong. And Allah: already for everyone there is a double punishment. But you do not know, He will say. You know how Allah Almighty, in His verse: Fa man ya'mal mithqala dharratin khayran yarah, I will write down an atom's weight of good. Wa man ya'mal mithqala dharratin sharran yarah, I will write down an atom's weight of evil, He says.

In the verse. And the good deeds you have done We will increase one to three, one to five, one to seven, one to seventy, one to a hundred, according to your intention, He says. Is that right? It is right, in the verse. Well, but in return for the evils you have done you will receive one sin. We, He says, We will not multiply them. That is, just as We increase them when you do a good deed, the sin you have done We will not multiply, He says. Everyone will see the exact recompense of what he earned within those sins. In this case, in this case, if Allah Almighty will not multiply sins, if He says so with His own verse, would He say here, sir: and Allah: already for everyone there is a double punishment?

There is a double punishment. What did You do? Against the evil I did, You made my punishment two-fold, three-fold, double increased. You know, He was going to give the exact recompense of punishment, but Allah Almighty was going to multiply the reward. So they have opened this part wrongly too. Yet do you know how that part goes? And Allah: already for everyone, in return for what he did, the punishments will be added up. The punishments will be added up. For example, just as the rewards will be added up. In return for them, against the whole total, He will increase (?). But here too: and Allah: already for everyone, the punishments in return for what he did will be added up. In return for what he did.

For example, he committed one sin, slapped Ahmet. He committed one sin, usurped Mehmet's right. Their sins will be added up. Not the sin he committed against one person. The sins he committed against whomever throughout his life will be added up. But this is not double. His sins will always be added up like this. Let us say in one place he lost three kurush, in one place he lost five kurush, in one place two kurush. These were added up and came to a hundred kurush. He has a loss of a hundred kurush. Well. But Allah Almighty, by saying double, does not make this hundred kurush loss two hundred kurush. Then here you are ascribing attributes to Allah.

You are making this contradict the verses. This is a wrongly opened verse. Yes.

So the correct version of this verse,

here, I'll correct this part, sir: a double punishments, that is, in return for what he did, this part, let us copy it here. Yes.

Allah will say: the communities of jinn and men that passed before you, yes, those let me correct in the commentary. Remzi, let me say it.

At the very end, the continuation of the sentence. Allah: already for everyone, for everyone, in brackets, in return for what he did; for everyone, in brackets, in return for what he did, you close the bracket, the punishments will be added up. Yes. Allah: already for everyone, in return for what he did, in return for what he did, we will say. Well, in return for what he did, the punishments will be added up. But you do not know, He will say. But you do not know.

The verse, first, before we move on to the commentary, if you like, let me say that point once more. Maybe you couldn't keep up. And Allah: already for everyone, in brackets, in return for what he did, the punishments will be added up. But you do not know, He will say. Yes. In return for what he did, the punishments will be added up. It is not that they will be doubled or anything.

Allah Almighty will say: among the communities of jinn and men that passed before you, you too enter the fire. That is, Allah Almighty says this in His verse. We, what We have not made heard, Yes, I corrected it, Hodja. Let the slides be ready. We do not call anyone to account for what We have not made heard, He says. So to the communities of jinn that passed before us, or before them, Allah Almighty made His being known. Since He made known His being, made it known, these, if they transgressed and denied Allah and falsely imputed crimes to Allah, these, by the verse our Lord made known, inna ad-dina inda Allahi al-Islam, with Me the religion is Islam, having gone outside our Lord's commands and living as non-Muslims, the communities of jinn and men, all together, what do we say? Among the communities of jinn and men that passed before you, you too enter the fire.

That is, our time, and those after us who will come until the Day of Judgement, if they lived outside our Lord's verse, if they lived as non-Muslims, how, He says, even though only a short time passed since the destruction they (?), how, He says, they resembled their forefathers, He says. They follow their path, He says. So if they too, just as their forefathers denied, associated partners with Allah Almighty, worshipped idols, lived outside the non-Islamic shar'i ruling, then these too: among the communities of jinn and men that passed before you, you too enter the fire. This also covers the state of people until the Day of Judgement and of those living at (?) the Day of Judgement, the people who die there.

They and those before them. After that the Supreme Court will begin anyway. Or the hereafter will begin. Yes. All of them one after another there. When they have gathered in hell, the later ones, the very last ones, will say of the earlier ones: O our Lord, these are the ones who led us astray. They led us astray. So give them a double punishment of the fire, they will say. Double. That is, increase their torment, they will say. And Allah: already for everyone, from Allah already for everyone, in return for what he did, the punishments will be added up. But you do not know, He says. Yes. Their punishments will be added up, and they, in view of these punishments, will receive the penalty they deserve.

From every people before, of the communities of jinn and men, those who denied Allah and His Messenger, who denied Allah's verses, in hell, when they have filled hell, when they have filled into hell, those who come after these peoples, the deniers from the communities of jinn and men, will be told: you too, those before you, enter the fire together with those before you. You too, (?), enter the fire together with those who came before you. So, in what they say is hadith, in those words, to Muslims: those who put Muslims into the fire, who burn them in the fire, And who say there is the bridge of Sirat and make them fall into hell and make them lick that fire in hell, or make the fire, its torment touch them: these are people unaware of these verses.

Fire does not touch the Muslim. Even if a Muslim enters hell, he will not burn in the fire in that hell. For him the fire is forbidden. The fire is forbidden. Now there is a hadith like this too. Hadith.

Hell says to Allah Almighty: O Allah, this servant of Yours, the light of this servant of Yours is about to put me out, it says. Take him away. The light of this servant of Yours: this is said in a figurative sense, of course; otherwise the fire there is not going to go out. That is, that light which that servant of His, that righteous servant, sends out from his right and his front is about to put out the fire. In this case, in one who is a Muslim but a sinner, as long as a part of that light, that light of faith, is in him, that fire will not burn him either, and he will not enter the fire. And the Prophet too says anyway: the fire is forbidden to him.

The fire is forbidden to him. To that Muslim. In this case a Muslim will enter hell in return for his sin, but there, there he will not suffer torment. Yes.

Each time these enter the fire, they will curse their companion, that is, those who in this world led them to denial of Allah and His verses.

In fact, in people's creation there is this. Their own nafs they will deify. They deify their own nafs, and as long as they remain (?), the fire that their own nafs made touch them, to throw it onto someone else's back: the (?) they say to them. Like what, Hodja? If I were to (?) this a bit more. Now you are a Muslim. And someone wants you to give up prayer. Not to fast. To live as a non-Muslim. What do you do? You put up a fight. I have faith, I am a Muslim. I will not turn from my religion, you say. But to a kafir, to a non-Muslim, come, (?) when you become Muslim; I am living my life, is there a God, he says, is there another side, who said so, he says, how do we know, he says.

Now these are two people. One says this, the other says that. So this person, when this person enters the fire, that is, when that non-Muslim enters the fire, to (?) people: we came from among them, these were our forefathers, they left us these, sir, they left us this as a trust, if he says, says, and tries to put the blame on someone else, in fact how much grandeur his own nafs has, and that he tries to load what he did onto someone else, that he himself has no sin, supposedly, making Allah Almighty pity him, he will say: sir, give this one a double punishment. Yet the soul will see its punishment as the recompense of what its own two hands earned.

Allah Almighty says: We do not call anyone to account for what We have not made heard. We do not call anyone to account for what We have not made heard. In this case, if they will not be called to account, if those people will not be called to account for what He has not made heard, then you, onto whose back are you trying to load the deeds you committed? Every soul is responsible for itself.

Yes.

When each of these has gathered in hell one after another, the later ones will say of the earlier ones: O our Lord, these are the ones who led us astray. So give them a double punishment of the fire, they will say; double. If denying Allah had not been in their nature, would they have followed that community of unbelievers and tagged along behind them? If in their nature, at that address Alastu bi-Rabbikum, Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Wa idh akhadha rabbuka min bani Adama min zuhurihim dhurriyyatahum wa ashhadahum ala anfusihim alastu bi-Rabbikum. We made a covenant with those who will emerge from the offspring of the children of Adam, He says. We said: We are your Lord.

Those who denied Allah there... Wa kuntum azwajan thalathah. (?). Fa ashabu al-maymanati ma ashabu al-maymanah. O (?), glad tidings to you. Wa ashabu al-mash'amati ma ashabu al-mash'amah. O (?), woe to you. Wa as-sabiquna as-sabiqun, ula'ika al-muqarrabun, fi jannati an-na'im: a third group He mentions, the group of the foremost. The group of the friends of Allah, the prophets, the martyrs, the witnesses. When our spirits, created in the realm of lahut, which received that address, were divided into these three classes, there, seeing their Lord as like themselves, and (?) Allah according to their own imagination, people waiting for the Lord in their own imagination.

And according to Allah Almighty's verse: they will not be able to see their Lord. They will not be able to see their Lord. According to the verse. For there is no god besides Allah, for that person to see that lord other than his Lord. And here too people cannot translate this. They say: according to this verse it is a sign that Allah will be seen in paradise. And some say it is a sign that people will be resurrected blind and sightless, they say. People (?) the verses deny the verses. Yet what does it say? In the verse, people say to Allah Almighty: we came, we saw. Is there not one more way of return to the world? it says.

Sir? In this case, man, look what it says. In Surah As-Sajdah, verse 12: if you could see those sinners before their Lord, bowing their heads, Our Lord, we have seen, we have heard. Now send us back to the world, it says, to the world, so that we do good deeds, now we firmly believe; if only you could see the time when they will say this, He says. Where do they hide these verses, that Allah says, (?) He will raise them blind, sightless, He says? Yes. Now, so the meaning of the verse, they will not be able to see their Lord, is the (?) of tawhid. La ilaha illallah. There is no god besides Allah for them to wait for the Lord in their imagination. There.

There. Now we put a full stop here. Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty here, sir, with that verse, what does He say to the Prophet (peace be upon him)? My beloved, do not mind their calling you a liar. In their time they betrayed Me too. In their time they betrayed Me too. That is, when We created them in that realm of lahut and said I am your Lord, when they saw Me as like themselves, out of the pride and arrogance of their nafs, out of their grandeur, they could not bow to Me. They waited for the Lord in their own imagination. In this case they betrayed Me too, He says. Me too, that is, they called Me a liar too.

In this case, those people's carnal pride and arrogance, their ego and grandeur cannot make them bow their necks in prostration. Look what it says in Surah Ya-Sin. We have put lales on their necks, He says. What is a lale? On these shepherd dogs' necks there are rings made of nails. When it fights with wolves, so that the wolf does not seize it by the nape and strangle it, they put lales on their necks. Well now, if he has a lale on, will he lower his neck? People with this much pride and arrogance. So those who try to load the sins they committed onto others and, making Allah Almighty pity them, supposedly want to obtain His forgiveness and pardon: poor persons.

Yes.

What are we saying now? If denying Allah had not been in their nature too, would they have followed that community of unbelievers and tagged along behind them? So people who are commanders or administrators in a town, because they strive to distance society from Allah, since they (?) both themselves and society onto wrong paths, their punishments are double compared to the punishment of the common people. These are an exception. Who are these? The commanders at the head of that town. The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say as follows.

When he sent word to the non-Muslims, to their commanders, their kings, not commanders, their kings, the rulers at their head, the aghas of the peoples: Eme Muhammad (?), that is, I am Muhammad. I am Allah's Messenger. Well, if you become a Muslim, you will receive two rewards. If you persist in disbelief, you will receive two sins. But that person is one single person. That is, the one at their head. And what is the reason for this? The reason is that if he becomes a Muslim, those under him will see him too. They will become Muslims. Or else, when he torments, they will fear him. They will not be able to enter Islam, and they will live under despotism.

In this case people will not be able to prove themselves fully. That is why the Prophet, with those envoys, used to send envoys to all heads of state. Their burdens. Whose burden? And that, too, is not double sin. What is the burden? Of his preventing the worship people would do, the reward, I mean the sin. He gathers people's burdens upon himself.

Yes.

this for administrators: when it said that from Allah for everyone there was a double punishment, (?) the administrators, that their punishments are double, not double; these parts will be corrected again according to the verses: their sins being added up, and adding up those people's sins too, the due punishment will be given to them.
