The ones (who came) before will say to those (who came) after; “You do not have superiority over us. Thus, you shall taste punishment for what you have done.”
Tafsir
In that case, these two communities, that is to say, the previous tribes and the leaders of men and jinn who came after them and continued in their error and associating partners with Allah, saying, "We found our ancestors on this path," will say, "You have no superiority over us. That is to say, like us, you were the ones who disbelieved in Allah (in Kalu Bela) when Allah (swt) said I am your Lord. So they will say, 'Taste the torment because you disbelieved in Allah as we did.
Those who disbelieve in Allah from among mankind and jinn will not escape the torment, even if they blame each other. Every soul and every nation will be punished or rewarded for what it has done.
Allah (swt) has invited the human and jinn communities and each of these nations to the Oneness of Allah (swt). He declares that they will be responsible for the events that they will regret later, that they will not be able to come back to the realm of property from which there is no return, that their regrets will not benefit them, and that he declares his Verses by informing them of the events that will happen to the nations in their lifetime before the opportunity escapes them.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-A'raf, verse 39. The former and the latter alike say, both of them: The former and the latter alike. You have no superiority over us.
So you too taste the punishment for what you did. Yes, here too a word is missing. Let's look at it here in verse 39.
Here, the former, the latter say to the former, it says. The latter, this time. Yes. Not "the former and the latter alike". The latter say to the former: you have no superiority over us. So you too taste the recompense of what you did.
Yes. So this is one more verse that is wrong. The former and the latter alike say: you have no superiority over us. Who said it to whom? The former and the latter alike. Whereas it is the latter to the former. Now, the former blamed the latter, and the latter blame the former. What does it say? You have no superiority over us, no superiority against us. So you too taste the punishment for what you did. In this case these two communities, that is, the earlier peoples and those who came after them, saying "we found our forefathers on this path", people who persisted in their error and in associating partners with Allah, the leaders of men and jinn, will say this: You have no superiority over us.
They will say it to the latter. That is, like us, at Qalu Bala, when Allah Almighty said "I am your Lord", you were people who denied Allah. So because you, like us, deny Allah, they will taste the punishment. And how nicely they will prove each other. In this way they will prove what kind of people they are. So those among men and jinn who deny Allah, however much they blame each other, will not escape the punishment. Every soul and every nation will surely see, in return for what it did, its punishment or its reward. Yes.
Allah Almighty has had each of the communities of men and jinn, and each of these nations, invited to the oneness of Allah. Through whom? Through the prophets. He had each of them invited to Himself. Yes. That they themselves will be responsible for the events they will later regret, that they can never again come to the material world, from which there is no return, Allah Almighty has clearly made known to these communities. That their regret will not benefit them; before the chance slips from their hands – what is the chance? Their lifetime. Once life is over, there is nothing more to be done.
My Allah, send me back once more. "Look how I will worship You," he says. Now look at the verse of Surah Al-Waqi'ah – let's open Surah Al-Waqi'ah. Surah Al-Waqi'ah,
83. what does it say in the verse? In verse 83 it says: when the soul comes up to the throat – at that moment, it says, We are closer to him than you, but you do not see, it says. We are closer. How close? When the soul reaches there – we mentioned a narration: this hollow, the (?) bone, and here there is the rooster bone. It's called the rooster bone. When the soul reaches there, the door of repentance closes. The moment the door of repentance closes, the world of the hereafter is shown to him. That is the event that follows. The event at the time the door of repentance closes. What is it? İzâ belegati'l-hulkûm.
When the soul reaches the throat, Hîne'izin tenzurûn. Yes.
İzâ belegati'l-hulkûm. Hîne'izin tenzurûn. At that moment We are closer to him than you. But you do not see. Ve nahnu akrabu ileyhi minkum ve lâkin lâ tubsırûn. Since you supposedly will not be punished, it says. You supposedly will not be punished. Well, We are closer to him than you. Since you supposedly will not be punished,
here they have not given the verse's full meanings, its equivalent. This is my Diyanet translation. Ve nahnu akrabu ileyhi minkum ve lâkin lâ tubsırûn. At that moment, it says, We are closer to him than you, (?) you do not see. That is, all his relatives gather around him and wait for his soul to leave, it says. Yes.
86. verse: Since, it says, you will not be punished, if you are truthful, then turn it back, it says. Turn it back, then! Now, in this case, a person's life is, as we said, a treasure that cannot be regained. Within this life, when that soul reaches the throat, the moment this treasure of life slips from his hands, he understands how precious his life was. For becoming a sultan of the world of the hereafter, or to be saved from that punishment in the world of the hereafter. He understands how precious his life was. The Prophet (peace be upon him) also says in one of his hadiths: Staying in the world for a moment is better than lying under the earth for a thousand years.
Than lying a thousand years. Do not wish for death, he says. Death. Staying in the world for a moment is better than lying under the earth for a thousand years. Why is it better? Under the earth, yes, our Lord will again give you a reward. Because there you are punished, or you decay and fade away, you are resurrected again, you pass through something. (?) or you pass through a tumult. But staying in the world – once you have said "Allah", because it fits Allah Almighty's art of creation and power of creation, it becomes better than lying under the earth for a thousand years. How? Saying "Allah" fits the purpose for which He created.
Did Allah not create man so that His essence would be known? He willed His essence to be known through man. In that case, if man too remembers his Lord in a way that fits Allah's purpose in creating, of course it is better than lying under the earth for a thousand years. Yes.
So, that their regret will not benefit them – before the chance slips from their hands, within their lifetime – by telling the nations of the events to come, He makes His verses clear to people: Allah Almighty.
