And those who believe and commit salih deeds – and We do not burden anyone with more than they can carry – they are the dwellers of Paradise. They will remain there eternally.
Tafsir
Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day. Those who recognize the messengers of Allah as true, who believe in the Books sent by Allah, who believe that they will be gathered before Allah after death, who do good deeds for Allah's pleasure during their life in this world, who obey His commands and prohibitions, and who continue their worship, these are the people of Paradise. Allah (swt) does not burden anyone with a duty beyond his capacity.
Allah (swt) knows what His creatures can tolerate, so He does not ask anything from them that they cannot tolerate. Allah deals with His creatures with justice. In this respect, those who worship Allah, compete in charity and good deeds, and maintain unity and solidarity in accordance with the verse (Muslims are only brothers and sisters), Allah says that these are the people of Paradise.
These are the people who know that the world is a temporary abode and believe that the real abode is the Hereafter. These are the people who do not look back at the evil ways that the devil has shown them, by indulging in the temporary pleasures of this world. These are the people who know that the universe has an end, just as everything has an end, and that the best of all homes is the one who gets paradise in the Hereafter. People who know that the realm of property is a source of gain for them in the Hereafter, and who do not fall behind in their preparations for the Hereafter at the same time as they are building their world, are wise people. Allah loves such people and bestows His mercy upon them.
What is said in the video
Yes, to verse 42 of Surah Al-A'raf we have come.
As for those who believe and do good deeds – it says – We burden no one with a duty beyond their strength. No one at all. Hodja, so many afflictions, so many illnesses, so much torment and suffering. Isn't this beyond one's strength? No. Why? According to your pledge, according to your destiny, in return for that wish you gave, in return for that wish you asked for, Allah Almighty knows your strength within that wish. He gives characters accordingly. Within those characters, He does not put on your back a load you cannot bear. Yes. Allah Almighty is just. He puts on no one's back a load they cannot bear.
And it says: first of all, as for those who do good deeds, We burden no one beyond their strength with a duty. When it says "no one at all", the unbelievers are included in this too. Otherwise Allah Almighty would have committed injustice.
Those are the people of Paradise. They will remain there eternally, it says. Eternally.
Allah Almighty sent us to an unseen world. To a world where His essence is not seen. And those events, when at that address of Elestü bi-Rabbiküm we made a covenant with our Lord, He closed off to us in this world. But there is memory too. There is memory too. Because at that moment of death those places will be shown. When one says, send me back, just look how I'll worship, we will have set out on the journey to a world from which there is no return. Then why did we come to this world? There – not believing in His essence – Allah Almighty, who created us as the likeness of His essence, in this way, outside faith – that is, since we could not believe, since we imagined the One who created us otherwise, since we imagined Him otherwise – Allah Almighty, free of deficient attributes, sends us to the world, to a world where His essence is not seen.
In this case man, that Allah Almighty is free of deficient attributes – the proof of it, in the world, with his own life, he provides. What does it say? If he believed there, believed in the world of the hereafter, that "this is my Lord" – if he said so, those who have those characters, in the world too, say: yes, I believe in the unseen. The worlds have an owner. These worlds, by themselves, with life and soul – well, being subject – this order, this unity and togetherness surely were not established by them. So, since these created (?) and worlds without life and soul, created by a creator, proceed within a certain order and harmony, since Allah Almighty runs them in their unity and togetherness, there is One who created it, and that creator (?) the one, absolute ruler of these worlds; the people who believe in Him, have faith, use their intellect, in the world of the hereafter attain their Lord's mercy and enter the gardens our Lord has promised.
Enter. Yes. What does it say? They will remain there eternally, it says. In Hell, they will remain there eternally, it says. In Paradise too, they will remain there eternally, it says. Some people, who look for a calf under the ox, unaware of the Quran, or who want to stir up discord, or want to serve dark aims, who want to muddle Islam, poor people, say: where is it written that Paradise and Hell are eternal? Shame on them. When it comes to a novel, they read. A novel. They don't put down love novels. In cinemas they amuse themselves as they like. They satisfy their carnal feelings as they like.
But they don't take My book, from the One who created them, and read it. Shame on them. Yes.
So when it says they will remain eternally, it is emphasized that in Hell and Paradise people are, from then on, eternal, deathless. Hodja, it also says "deathlessness". Isn't this deathlessness? When it says they will remain eternally, are you there immortal, or mortal? That is, people who, unable to use their intellect even this much, ask so ignorantly, or who want to stir things up – who are they? Who are they? Non-Muslims. Those who obey them. Why? Ah, why? Let's say that too. Why? Because, in order not to enter Hell, they bring the spirits back into the world again, take them away again, put them into others again, take them away again, perfect them, then take them away.
According to their minds. Because they have distanced people from Allah's book, and in this case they will come and go this way with their (?). For this reason, for this reason there is no eternity there. It will come and go like this. That is, there is no Allah either. They come and go. They taste death. They come again for the (?) of the spirit. They go again. They both bring them and take them away. And they also abolish eternity. These are baseless people. Yes.
Those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, who hold Allah's messengers true, who believe in the books Allah sent. Who believe that after death they will be gathered, gathered in Allah's presence. Who, during their life in the world, do good deeds, showing Allah's good pleasure, command and (?). Who keep up their worship. These are the people of Paradise. Allah Almighty does not burden anyone with a duty beyond their strength. Yes.
Since Allah Almighty knows what His creatures can bear, beyond what they can bear He asks nothing of people. Now, what did we say – what does this endurance depend on? There, when we made the covenant with Allah Almighty at that address of Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, our desires and wishes, our will – Allah Almighty, who gave these to us as destiny, within these destinies of ours – how much can we bear, what can we not bear. So, We burden you with nothing beyond your strength that you cannot bear, says Allah Almighty. If He had burdened them, then, carried away by carnal feelings, or because He resented people, so to speak, or abolishing the attribute of justice, people as He wishes – you know, they write plays; they say He puts whomever He wills in Paradise, whomever He wills in Hell – so, as He wished, by putting a load they could not bear on their backs, He could send whomever He wanted to Paradise, whomever He wanted to Hell – Allah Almighty.
But Allah is free of such deficient attributes. Yes.
One must know the matter well. The events, one must know the verses well.
Since Allah Almighty knows what His creatures can bear, He asks nothing of people beyond what they can bear. Allah treats His creatures with justice. Therefore, those who obey and worship Allah, who in good deeds and kindness, in helping one another, compete,
yes, who, according to the verse "Muslims are but brothers", preserve their unity and togetherness – of them Allah Almighty declares: they are the people of Paradise.
These people, because they know that the world is a temporary lodging place, are people who believe that the true home is the world of the hereafter. These people are people who, not carried away by the passing pleasures of this world, do not look back at the evil ways that Satan makes look attractive to them. People who know that just as everything has an end, the universe too has an end, and that finally the best of homes, the Highest Paradise, is in the home of the hereafter. Those who know that the material world is for them the source of earnings for the hereafter, who, while building up their worldly life, do not fall behind in preparations for their hereafter – they are intelligent people. Allah loves such people and grants them His mercy.
One must be like that. Yes, these are very beautiful sentences; they need to be opened up.
These people, because they know that the world is a temporary lodging place. That is, when Allah Almighty willed His essence to be known and created people, gave them of His spirit and said "I am your Lord" – those people being sent to an unseen world, in a world where His essence is not seen, people knowing their Lord. Yes. And the person who knows thus that he is temporary in the world, and finally – all souls will taste death and your return is to Me – according to this verse, those who act accordingly, who know that the world is a lodging place, who know they are in the trial of a temporary life.
Yes.
These are very beautiful feelings. They obey Allah. People who believe the true home is the world of the hereafter; the true home – here, within a temporary life, people – who know what kind of people they are, that they hold their surroundings as witnesses for themselves and for Allah, who know that they will be called to account by Allah Almighty in every state for what they did, who act in the world accordingly. This world's – these people are people who, not carried away by this world's passing pleasures, do not look back at the evil ways Satan makes look attractive to them. Because the nafs makes every kind of evil look pleasant to people.
And Satan, with the temptation he gives the human nafs, drags them into swamps. Those who perceive these with the light of (?). Those who, not carried away by the passing pleasure and joy of this world, submit to Allah Almighty's divine command, are devoted to Allah Almighty from the heart, and do what He says even if it weighs on their nafs. In obedience, in worship, in dhikrullah. Yes. That just as everything has an end, the universe too has an end, and finally, according to the verse "all souls will taste death", the Hour will come. What does Allah Almighty say? When the mountains pass like clouds, when the seas swell, when the earth throws out what is within it, when the sky flows like molten metal, the order of the world is broken, and finally the Hour has come.
Then again Allah Almighty: when the heavens become another heaven and the earth another earth, it says, when the world of the hereafter is furnished with all its splendor, when the supreme tribunal is set up, these people will be called to account, He makes known. Yes. That just as everything has an end, the universe too has an end, and that finally the best of homes, the Highest Paradise, is in the home of the hereafter – people who know this. And finally, it says. Finally. The world's end will come. Just as the end of life comes. The reign of the home of the hereafter will not end. So, even if one has been caught between two millstones in the world, between two millstones, even if (?), even if ground down, finally the agony of this place's life will end.
But the agony of the world of the hereafter will not end. Even if here my Lord gives me an affliction, or gives me a mercy, when he consents to what comes from Him and submits, when he keeps on earning his Lord's mercy – people who set out this way, saying "I will win the reign of the home of the hereafter", are intelligent people. People who carry out their Lord's command. And people who possess the reign of the home of the hereafter too. To the Highest Paradise. Yes.
Those who know that the material world is for them the source of earnings for the hereafter. In the material world. The source of earnings for the world of the hereafter. How is this a source of earnings? If one does what Allah Almighty says, if one enjoins the good, if one competes in good deeds, if one does not falter in worship, if one runs to good and kind deeds, if one adorns oneself with taqwa, if one abandons the ways of the nafs and of Satan, if one first does what Allah Almighty says to do and does not do what He says not to do, then the life of this world is, for the world of the hereafter, the place of earning. Here you will earn.
If you do these, these things, if you do them, you will attain your Lord's mercy. Yes.
Those who know that the material world is for them the source of earnings for the hereafter, who, while building up their worldly life, also don't fall behind in what they prepared – in their preparations for the hereafter, they don't fall behind – are intelligent people. Allah loves such people and grants them His mercy.
