Al-A'raf 43: While rivers flow beneath them (in Paradise), We take from their hearts all hatred. And they will say; “Praise be to Allah who has made us attain (these blessings) with Allah’s guidance. If Allah had not shown the right path, we would not have found the right path by ourselves. Indeed, the Messengers of our Lord brought the truth.” And they will hear the shout, “This is Paradise. You have been made inheritors to it for the good deeds you have committed.”

Translation

While rivers flow beneath them (in Paradise), We take from their hearts all hatred.

Tafsir

When people enter Paradise, Allah (swt) will remove all that is in their hearts that is in favor of masiva, that is, grudges in their hearts. According to this verse, Allah (swt) will give people a new burden when they enter Paradise, and He will remove all the grudges and hatreds from their hearts. In this case, people will say, "Praise be to Allah, Who has brought us (to this blessing) with His guidance. They say, "We would not have found the right path on our own unless Allah had shown us the right path.

These people say to each other in the face of the flowing rivers and fragrances of Paradise, its ever-changing scenery, its colorful air, its fireworks, and its even more magnificent scenery, its enchanting beauty, these people say to each other: "Praise be to Allah who has brought us to these blessings with His Hidayet, we would not have found the right path on our own if Allah had not shown us the right path.

When Allah, who has made a covenant with people, sends them to the realm of property, He closes the events of the Hereafter to them. People come to the realm of property unaware of it. The realm of property is the unseen realm of Allah (swt). In this respect, it is faith in the unseen. Since Allah (swt) is the Exalted One, although He knows the covenants made by people (in Kalu Bela), He closes the covenant in the hereafter by sending people to the realm of the unseen, but in the realm of property, He addresses people all at once, equally, without discriminating between any of His creations. He extends His mercy to all without discriminating between any of His creatures. This is why He says, "My mercy is for everyone in the universe. People who seek His mercy have made good covenants and Allah has guided them by enlightening their paths through the Books and Prophets He has sent. These people were thus guided by the light of Allah.

To these people Allah says: "Here is Paradise for you, and you are heirs to Paradise according to the good deeds you have done. This is the happy end. This is the most beautiful of the beautiful. And the best faith of those who believe is the faith of those who have reached this happy end. There is no more death, no more worship. There is only a life of eternal peace and eternal bliss. May Allah grant it to us all.

What is said in the video

Yes, Surah Al-A'raf, verse 43 – we have come to it. Surah Al-A'raf, verse 43.

In Paradise, as rivers flow beneath them, whatever rancor is in their hearts We take it all out and cast it away, it says. Yes, that is, unlike in the world, people will not bear rancor, will not have someone else beaten, or will not say: why was he given that reign and not me – won't say it, can't say it, won't say it. What does it say? Anyway, as you come to Paradise We will do a separate upload into you – this upload. As you enter Paradise, We will do an additional upload into you. That's it. With that upload, rancor, grief, (?) will leave us. Just like the (?) of plants. Everyone – people will be content with the reign given to everyone.

With what? Within their own feeling. Anyway, (?) one person says it is enough for him to have a flat of his own. A flat. Fine. Let me have a house. Another says: oh, if I had a garden, and a cow too – he says it like this – there I'd enjoy myself. That is, from that cow and so on, in that garden, or if I could stroll around. Another says, I wish I had a palace; another says, I wish I had a yacht. Now, according to people's characters, there are already the actual deeds they held to. According to those actual deeds, there are the rewards and ranks they received. Within that understanding, Allah Almighty will give each there according to their heart, and those people, since they attain their own state and desires, will no longer look at others' reign; in their own state.

Within their own screens. There are seven Paradises anyway, you know. For example, if you have a house, he has a house too. If you have, say, a vineyard, he has a vineyard too. If your house has, say, three staircases, his has three staircases too. That is, people are equal. According to the seven states of the nafs. Nefs-i emmare, nefs-i levvame, nefs-i mülhime, nefs-i mutmainne, nefs-i raziye, nefs-i marziye, nefs-i safiye. Seven Paradises according to the state of these seven nafs. Makam-ı Mahmud, the eighth Paradise, is (?). Since we cannot imagine it – people, it says, cannot even imagine it.

We are not speaking for or against it. For it. Against it we can't speak anyway. For it we can't speak at all, because our minds can't grasp it. Well, in this case, a new upload in man, and in that new upload, look what it says: in Paradise, as rivers flow beneath them, from their hearts, whatever rancor there is, We take it all out and cast it away, it says. Yes. He tears it out; a new upload. Memory. So that every person there will feel delight. Rancor, grief, (?), ulterior thoughts, setting traps – these will be forgotten. These don't exist. Everyone towards one another in love, sympathy and honesty, in sincerity.

And they say: praise be to Allah, who by His guidance brought us to this blessing. Yes. How beautifully Allah Almighty puts it.

Praise be to Allah, who by His guidance brought us to this blessing. Had Allah not shown us the right path – right, had He not shown us the way, we ourselves could not easily have saved ourselves from the darkness. We would not have found the right path on our own. Truly, the messengers of our Lord brought the truth. Not "truly" – they brought it as the haqq. That is, Allah Almighty makes them speak here as for an ordinary person. But people who see those worlds – you know, our Lord speaks to people in a way everyone can understand. For the one who sees those worlds, they brought the haqq anyway.

Who are those who see those worlds? In the verse it says the scholars and the angels. They bear witness to Allah's existence. Yes. They know it as haqq. As haqq. In this case, the prophets brought the haqq. We would not have found the right path. Truly, the messengers of our Lord brought the truth. They brought it. For them, they had brought it. But for us, they brought it. To them: here is your Paradise; you have been made its heirs in return for the good deeds you did, it will be called out. Called out. Allah Almighty will address them. So, you did it. For all the good, for knowing Me, for your obedience to Me though you did not see Me in the world, for your (?), and because, using your intellect, you said: while my Lord who created me is there, (?) serve another – today, He says, this reign is yours.

Yes.

As people enter Paradise, Allah Almighty takes out of their hearts whatever there is of the masiva, that is, of the rancor in their hearts – all of it – and casts it away. Paradise is not entered before hearts are at peace. Yes.

Therefore, when their hearts – their beliefs in the world – with what they see in the hereafter are confirmed, the hearts become at peace. A nafs that is at peace earns the right to enter Paradise.

Let us open this up a little for you. What are we saying? Therefore, their hearts, with their beliefs in the world – what is it? Belief in the world: with the tongue we affirm and with the heart we confirm it, we say – that is, we believed, we have faith: Allah exists, other than Allah there is no god. Allah Almighty sent us to this temporary world, and this world will finally end, our lives will end too, and finally Allah Almighty, after the Hour has come, will resurrect us in the world of the hereafter, and finally there, at the supreme tribunal, we will be called to account. The hearts of the people who say "Our Lord, keep us firm on a straight path" here, when they see that (?) there, confirm it.

Yes. It says. Therefore, when their hearts – their beliefs in the world, these beliefs – with what they see in the hereafter are confirmed, the hearts become at peace. A nafs that is at peace earns the right to enter Paradise. Yes. Here you would say it like this, of course. In the world – and in the hereafter, when these appear before them, the heart becomes completely at peace. Even if he has not been privy to the manifestations, there his heart becomes at peace. These are the flowing rivers of Paradise and its sweet scents. Its ever-changing scenery, the sky being multicolored, like fireworks, even more magnificent a sight.

Here (?) we write it, but now people – you can call it imagining Paradise. Imagination. But these are visible events. Here there are fireworks, you know. They produce colorful shapes, colors. And it's as if in the air (?) will hit your face, but the air is constantly changing shape too. Lively and bright. That place is a completely different world. (?) – there is none there anyway. These are the flowing rivers of Paradise and its sweet scents. Its ever-changing scenery. Because the human nafs gets weary of looking at one thing, those scenes constantly change, briskly. The sky, multicolored like fireworks, presenting an even more magnificent sight – before its captivating beauty these people say to each other: praise be to Allah who by His guidance brought us to these blessings.

Had Allah not shown us the right path, we would not have found the right path on our own, they say. Yes.

Allah Almighty, who made a covenant with people, when He is about to send them to the material world, closes off to them the events of the world of the hereafter. He closes off those places. Anyway, when our Lord created our spirits, He did not put us in Paradise; we did not see Paradise there, in that world. After the covenant He raised us directly to the world of barzakh. To the world of barzakh. He raised every person who gave the pledge to barzakh. Then He sends each person to the world when his time comes. But those who in the world are (?) to their Lord, who gave a good pledge in the world of the hereafter, in the world, their characters grow strong in proportion to those characters, and towards Allah Almighty, the carnal feelings in his heart, their (?), he takes out.

Struggling with your own nafs until you reach the state of a servant Allah wants, those lies, hypocrisies, rancor and grief and (?), whatever there is of those bad traits in him – while he wrestles with them, Allah Almighty helps him too. How does He help? As he struggles with his nafs, in return for the evils, Allah Almighty this time grants him ranks. He opens the world of unveiling (kashf). He shows him some of the world of malakut. Before going to the world of malakut, He grants some karamat. After those karamat, He raises him to the world of malakut. After that world of malakut, He makes him privy to the tajalliyat.

After the tajalliyat, according to his state, He trains him with His knowledge. Yes. At nefs-i raziye He trains him with knowledge. Then, again according to his rank, He raises him. According to that person's character. In this case, Allah Almighty, in return for (?), what everyone deserves, even while in the world, gives them, shows them. Yes.

What are we saying? Allah, who made a covenant with people, when He is about to send them to the material world, closes off to them the events of the world of the hereafter. That is, He closes off the events there to them. People come to the material world unaware of that place. We said this in our earlier lessons too. We load a program onto a computer. We load a text. Or we load a password. We don't want anyone to see it. We give it a separate password. Unless that password is given, that program does not open. But it is in that computer's memory. When you see it doesn't open, you can't say it isn't in this one.

It is there. It is there, but for it to open, a password is needed. What is that password? Your characters. What are the passwords in your characters? The evils of the animal nafs. As you break them, break them, the passwords are cracked. The passwords of the world of the hereafter are cracked. So what are we saying? The door of karamat is nefs-i mülhime, tajalliyat is nefsi mutmainne, nefsi raziye is ilmel yakın, nefsi marziye aynel yakın, nefsi safiye hakkel yakın. Hakkel yakın. Nefsi safiye is also the secret of secrets. Yes. No, no. Allah is free of all deficient attributes.

He takes the angels and the scholars as witnesses. To His existence. Whoever denies the verse falls into sin. What does it say? The scholars and angels bear witness to Allah's existence, it says. And we say: we too are among those who bear witness. Allah forbid – bearing witness to something unseen, lying, is a great sin. A great sin. For a person who knows his Lord and is in love with Him, falling under this sin is not fitting. Yes. That is why, it says, take the news from the one who sees. Take the news from the one who sees. Well, now can you say that this man has not been privy to the tajalliyat?

If I had not been privy to the tajalliyat, in the words I have spoken many contradictions would have arisen. Contradictions. And the hodjas would dwell on those contradictions. But if you pay attention – because my speech is not outside the verses, and they all confirm one another. None of them contradicts another. In this case, I am not saying you must believe me this way. If you don't believe, nothing happens either, but pay attention to the words. I am explaining the verses. I am explaining the verses. Yes.

Allah, who made a covenant with people, when He is about to send them to the material world, closes off the world of the hereafter, its events, to them. Closes off. Because in the world one will start from zero. People come to the material world unaware of there, that is, unaware of the hereafter. The material world is an unseen world of Allah Almighty. Now, how? When (?), let's open this up for you a little more around it. As in earlier lessons, as we opened it before – since the verses always confirm each other, since the Quran is a dhikr, we too, by mentioning many things in the same way and having the verses mentioned, build the foundation of the Quran's essence anyway, with the verses.

Now, what are we saying? People come to the material world unaware of there. How? How do they come unaware of what they saw there? When Allah Almighty takes them (?) from the world of barzakh, Thank you. When He takes them from the world of barzakh – the world called the world of nearness, the world of jabarut.

There He clothes him in a garment. What does this mean? He closes off to him the place He took him from, encrypts it.

Then He sends him to the world of malakut. There too He puts a garment on him. That is, there too a password; this time He closes the world of jabarut. The world of malakut – from there He sends him to the world. When he moves to the bodily spirit, there too He puts a password on him. He closes the world of malakut too. Man starts from zero in the world. Unaware of anything. But all the events are in memory. From where do we understand they are in memory? From where do we understand? Pardon?

We understand from this:

When the soul reaches the throat, it says, then you just look on. At that moment We are closer to him than you. Since you supposedly will not be punished, it says, then turn his soul back, if you are truthful in your claim. But if the one dying is among those near to Allah, for him there is rest, good provision and the Garden of Naim. If he is among the truthful, it says: O truthful one, peace be upon you. And when that soul reaches the throat, Allah Almighty closes the door of repentance. He shows him the worlds. The worlds of the hereafter. Again, in other verses, when one says "send me back once more, just look how I'll worship", – even if We sent you back not once but several times more, you would do the same thing again, it says.

From this we understand that when that place is opened to us, we are aware of those places as they are. We are aware. So, if because of this awareness of ours Allah Almighty sends us in the world to a world where His essence is not seen and makes us start here from zero, cloaked, He is proving His freedom from deficient attributes. There – alright, you saw Me (?) and could not believe, but in the world I will send you to a world where My essence is not seen. You will do the same thing. That is, while those characters are in you, while that desire and wish has become your destiny, you cannot put on another trait, it says.

Yes.

So, Allah, who made a covenant with people, when He is about to send them to the material world, closes off the events of the world of the hereafter to them. People come to the material world unaware of there. The material world is an unseen world of Allah Almighty. Therefore it is faith in the unseen. Allah Almighty, since He is free of deficient attributes, although He knows the pledges people gave at Qalu Bala, by sending people to the unseen world – Allah, who closes off the covenant in the world of the hereafter – to people, in the material world, to all of them at once, equally calls out. To all – just as He called out equally in the hereafter, in the world too He equally calls out.

What does He say? O people! There is no god other than Allah. Do not associate Allah's creatures with Him as partners and ask from them. Allah will send you prophets and scholars, will send books, believe in these, have faith, He says; and yet people, just as there, in the world of the hereafter, they fell into division, just as they belied Allah, in this world too they belie Allah Almighty, they deny Him.

Allah calls out in the material world to all people, to all at once, equally. Without distinguishing between any of His creatures, He lets His mercy reach everyone. That is why He says: My mercy is for everyone in the universe. His mercy to everyone. The mercy here – without discriminating among people, those who object to Him, those who don't believe, with the non-Muslims, Muslims, the insane, saints, even prophets – without distinguishing among them, Allah Almighty treats people equally. He sends His mercy to everyone. From this mercy, whoever wishes takes as much as he wants. The more profit he gains, the richer he becomes.

That wealth too is regarded as valid in Allah's sight. This wealth is material wealth. The wealth of Allah's mercy, the wealth of reward. Reward. Can a saint do what a prophet does? Can an ordinary person do what a saint does?

What does he lack? He lacks nothing. Then why can't you do it? There is a lack of faith. Of faith. There is a lack in the characters. He wished it that way, took it that way. That one too wished it that way, took such characters. So what does he say? I can't do what you do, he says. I can't. People say this anyway. Yes. Everything is open. There's no such thing as "go on, you can't do it". It happens. It's out in the open. But someone, even while trading, observes Allah's justice.

A person comes before him and gives fifty kuruş for a fifty-kuruş item. In fact it's a forty-kuruş item. And a defective item too. The man says, okay, I've ripped him off, and takes 50 kuruş. The other sells the 40-kuruş item for 35 kuruş and says: look, its value is this, but I'm selling it at this price. It also has such and such a defect. If you fix this like so, it will serve your purpose. It serves my purpose too. This is its condition. Buy it or don't. Why does he talk like this? He observes Allah's attribute of justice over him, so to speak. He tries not to lie. Even when selling his goods. When he speaks, whether with his words, in a way that breaks people's hearts, he would incur sin before his Lord or not – he speaks watching for that.

Plus, he constantly remembers his Lord. Anyway, (?) not even for a moment. What does it say in the verse? Neither trade nor commerce keeps him from My remembrance. So his observing that in trade is a dhikr. A dhikr of Allah, because he does not forget. From Allah's justice over him, because he fears, he tells him the truth. In this case, if he prays the voluntary prayers, gets up at night to pray the tahajjud prayer, if he remembers his Lord, well, at sunrise and sunset, if he remembers Allah in all his work, he might say: come on, is such a thing possible? According to your characters, of course – you will live those characters; within those characters he will live those characters, because – that one, in the Lord's book – his (?) towards Allah Almighty Allah Almighty knows.

What kind of wish he wanted, what kind of wish, desire and request he made. And which characters his Lord placed in him. Within those characters, remembering Allah is not hard for people. Therefore, although everything is open, people within their characters have separated into the states of the seven nafs, and within that nafs people prove what kind of people they are within those characters. Yes. After opening it up a bit here, we repeat it like this – our point. Allah, who made a covenant with people, when He is about to send them to the material world, closes off to them the events of the world of the hereafter.

People come to the material world unaware of there. The material world is an unseen world of Allah Almighty. Therefore it is faith in the unseen. Allah Almighty, since He is free of deficient attributes, although the pledges people gave at Qalu Bala He knows, by sending people to the unseen world, the covenant in the world of the hereafter – Allah, who closes it off, to people in the material world, all at once, equally calls out. Without distinguishing between any of His creatures, His mercy to everyone He extends. That is why He says: My mercy is for everyone in the universe. Yes. Everyone will take from that mercy in proportion to their own characters and will prove what kind of person he is.

For people wanting to attain His mercy, according to the good pledges they gave, Allah lighting these people's paths with the books and prophets He sent has brought these people to guidance. These people have thus been guided by Allah's light. Yes.

To these people Allah decrees – Allah Almighty: Here is Paradise for you. Paradise for you. Indeed: in this world, an unseen world – at that address of Elestü bi-Rabbiküm, with the characters you took in proportion to the pledge you gave, in the world you remembered your Lord. You feared Him. You loved Him very much. And you were very wary of Him. You dreaded His day of reckoning. And you did not fall short in respect for Him. As much as you could, as far as your strength allowed – not beyond your strength, as far as your strength allowed – you remembered your Lord. And you became intimate with Him.

Of course Allah Almighty says to you too: while you were in the world although you came so close to Me, I too, in return for what you did, look, showed you the worlds of the hereafter. I supported you in that faith of yours. You draw near to Me, and would I not draw near to you? You know, He says: if a person remembers Me, I remember him. If he (?) remembers, I remember him in a better community. If he comes to Me walking, He says, I come to him running. So what are these? Whatever you do, I will surely give you its return, He says. And in return for the worship you did, I too showed you that the worlds of the hereafter are true.

And with your longing for it, your loving Me, your obeying Me, your asking Me for help in it – I too did not withhold My mercy on you. What does He say today? Today the one place of refuge for you is one door: Me. From that door of refuge, with mercy, enter through that door of Paradise, He says. Yes. Here is Paradise for you, He says. Here is Paradise for you. According to the good deeds you did you have become heirs of Paradise – He calls out. You know, Allah Almighty says: who buys Paradise with their lives and their wealth. With their lives, the martyrs; with their wealth, the generous, those who give alms for Allah's sake. Yes.

Those who spend on good, who give of their wealth to keep Allah's (?) standing, yes, what did He say? To these people Allah decrees: here is Paradise for you; according to the good deeds you did, you have become heirs of Paradise – He calls out. This is the happy ending, this is the most beautiful of the beautiful. Of people's believing, the most beautiful belief of believers is the faith of those who reach this happy ending. No longer is there death again, nor worship. There is only a life of eternal peace and eternal bliss. May Allah grant it to all of us. Yes. Such a happy ending. May Allah Almighty grant and make easy such a beautiful world to the whole ummah of Muhammad and the believing women.
