Tafsir
When their accounts are settled in the Hereafter and everyone is sent to their rightful place, the people of Paradise address the people of Hell: We have found what Allah (swt) promised us to be true, we have obeyed Allah's commands while we were in this world, we have realized that Allah (swt) is true with the intellect He has given us, Allah (swt) has sent us the Book and the Prophets to guide us. We followed what Allah sent and abandoned the ugliness shown by the nafs and the devil. We have seen here today that Allah is the truth. Have you also found what Allah (swt) promised to be true? They say.
The inhabitants of Hell will respond to the question of the inhabitants of Paradise and say, "Yes, we have found what Allah promised us to be true, and today we are in the Hell He promised us.
Between the conversations of the people of Paradise and Hell, they hear a voice. A summoner calls out. Allah's curse be upon the wrongdoers. These are the people who denied Allah and His Verses while they were in this world. These people have committed injustice against their souls. There are none more cruel than these.
Heaven and hell are very far away from each other. They can only see and talk to each other like a television screen. The forty-sixth verse of Surah A'raf says, "There is a veil between them". Through that curtain they can talk and see each other in the same way that a person on one side of the world today talks to a person on the other side of the world, either through a telephone screen or through television.
What is said in the video
Al-A'raf Surah, we have come to verse 44. Yes. The people of Paradise, the people of Paradise say to the people of Hell: We have found what our Lord promised us to be true. Now, people will talk, they cannot keep from talking. And they will always speak the truth anyway. What does it say? To the people of Hell. Why do they say it? They are angry with them for not obeying Allah. How could anyone disobey Allah, they say. What did they say? The people of Paradise to the people of Hell: We have found what our Lord promised us to be true. That is, He had promised us Paradise. And by submitting to our Lord we have inherited Paradise.
Have you too, it says, found it true? To them. Have you too found what your Lord promised you to be true? Yes.
Weren't you the one denying it? Weren't you belittling the verses by your own reason? Weren't you saying this is reactionism? You were saying these are fabrications of past ages. You acted by your nafs and followed the footsteps of Satan. You too, it says, by going outside Allah's command, it says, your destination is eternal Hell, the place of torment He spoke of; have you found it true, it says now. They call out yes. They too say yes. They say yes. And a caller among them cries out: May the curse of Allah be upon the wrongdoers, he shouts. May Allah protect us. May Allah protect us.
Yes.
A very strange event. That crier, that munadi, we call him munadi, the one who shouts, curses them.
In the hereafter, when everyone's account is settled and everyone is sent to the place they deserve, to the place they deserve, Muslims to Paradise, the people of Paradise to Paradise, and the people of Hell to Hell, the people of Paradise address the people of Hell. We have found what Allah Almighty promised us to be true. While in the world we observed Allah's commands. With the reason He gave us we grasped that Allah is the Truth. Allah Almighty sent us the guiding Book and the prophets. And by following what Allah sent, the ugliness shown by the nafs and Satan we abandoned. Today, here too, we have seen that Allah is the Truth.
Have you too found what He promised to be true, they say. What He promised. You did not walk our path, you despised us, you looked down on us, you belittled us in your eyes. Taking that life of the nafs, that swamp of a life, that ugly and immoral life for real life, at the peak of the nafs, turning your backs on Allah, you carried on your lives, you used up your lifetime this way. In this situation, since you turned your backs on Allah Almighty's warnings, the place He promised, the place you knew as His truth, have you found it true, it says. Yes.
The people of Hell answer the question of the people of Paradise: yes, we too have found what Allah promised us to be true. And today we are in the Hell He promised, they say.
Amid the conversation of the people of Paradise and Hell they hear a voice. Amid the conversation of the people of Paradise and Hell, these, those talking, hear a voice. A caller, one charged with it, that is, the munadi, calls out thus. May the curse of Allah be upon the wrongdoers, he cries. These people, while in the world, denied Allah and Allah's verses; such people they are. These people wronged their own selves. There are none more unjust than them. This munadi also tells them that Allah's verses are true. How? When he cries, May the curse of Allah be upon the wrongdoers, he upholds the verse in which Allah Almighty says the torment of Hell is due to those who do not heed His command; he upholds it. He cries out like this.
Paradise and Hell are very far from each other. They can only talk by seeing each other as on a television screen. In Surah Al-A'raf, verse 46, He says there is a veil between them. That veil: just as today a person at one end of the world and another at the other end meet and talk by phone screen or through television, so they will talk and see each other.
