Al-A'raf 49: Are these the people about whom you have taken oaths, that Allah will not make them attain any blessings? (Turning to the dwellers of the Paradise, they will say) “Enter into the Paradise, there is no fear for you anymore, nor shall you be ever saddened.”

Translation

Are these the people about whom you have taken oaths, that Allah will not make them attain any blessings? (Turning to the dwellers of the Paradise, they will say) “Enter into the Paradise, there is no fear for you anymore, nor shall you be ever saddened.”

Tafsir

The people of 'A'raf will call out to the people of Hell and say, "Are these the people whom you swore that Allah would not grant mercy to anyone? They will say. Allah's promise is true. Allah is free from any imperfect attribute. It is out of His mercy to people that He narrates these events with emotions to protect them from the fate to come. Allah (swt) will also show them what they said in the Hereafter and they will see that Allah's promise is true.

So let us repent before we reach the Hereafter, so that we may return to the Verses of Allah and be judged by them, so that we may not suffer the fate of the people of Hell. Let us realize that the life of this world is a place of gain for the Hereafter. Let's try to live our lives as a servant as Allah wants us to live and earn our Hereafter so that we can be comfortable in the end.

Again, these people of A'raf turn to the people of Paradise and say, "Enter Paradise, there is no fear for you and you will not be sad. Allah will include these people, those who are in awe of Him, those who continue their worship and devotion, those who have attained Allah's mercy, among the people whom He says in one of His Verses (O soul that is satisfied, enter among My servants, enter My Paradise, with your Lord pleased with you and you pleased with your Lord), and He will place them in Paradise according to their degrees and make them heirs of Paradise. They will now live an eternal bliss and an eternal life. Good news for them.

In a sense, it could also mean that these people of A'raf entered Paradise because their souls were perfected after they became aware of these events.

What is said in the video

Surah Al-A'raf, verse 49 Are these the ones about whom you swore that Allah would never let them attain any mercy? And turning to the people of Paradise: enter Paradise, there is no fear for you now and you will not grieve, they say. Who are these? The people of A'raf say this. What does it say? Are these the ones about whom you swore that Allah would never let them attain any mercy, it says. These ones? Now sometimes we watch people's conversations on television. There are some (?) films like this, and one watches such (?) films. Now one asks another: do you believe in Allah? Is there Allah, he says. I don't know, he says.

That's what they say, but, he says, I don't have a single belief, he says. He asks the other one: do you believe? Allah - I believe, he says, but I'm hesitant, he says, how could I know, he says. Now one says to another, he says,

the Kuba gods, they go into its explanation, the Kuba gods, he says, they will free you, he says, from Hell and bring you into Paradise, he says. And another one says: what Paradise? No Hell, no Paradise, neither Paradise nor Hell. Why, he says? Because there is no such thing, that's why, he says.

How nicely they do it. While in the world they prove themselves, themselves. Their talk while in the world. I look at them like this and truly I feel pity. Allah Almighty - O my Lord, reform these too, I say, reform them. These people of our time, with pride, arrogance and grandeur in their nafs, (?) they live. But see: wretched people living in ignorance. Truly people in a pitiable state. Yes. What were they saying? Are these the ones about whom you swore that Allah would never let them attain any mercy? On the other side, the hereafter, he says - is there Allah, he says. We live everything here, (?).

That much, it passes and we're gone, he says. Yes, he cannot think that with all this knowledge gathered in him an ocean of treasure lives - an ocean of treasure lives. An ocean of knowledge. And man, unable to accomplish anything, in helplessness cannot sustain man's life. Every soul shall taste death. And in the end people die.

The worlds moving around one another in an orderly (?), that they could in no way have come together by chance - though he himself knows it, those people who deify their nafs, against Allah Almighty, voice their enmity so nicely.

Those about whom you swore that Allah would never let them attain any mercy - are these them? And turning to the people of Paradise: enter Paradise, there is no fear for you now. And you will not grieve either, they say. Because Allah Almighty fulfils the desires and wishes of those who will enter Paradise, their aims. Whatever they want. According to their ranks. And they too have desires and wishes according to these ranks. According to those desires and wishes, in those gardens they will be content, that is, content with all that is given, more than pleased, and live there on a path of great bliss.

Again these people of A'raf, calling out to the people of Hell: Allah would never let anyone, never let them attain any mercy, you swore - are these those people? they will say. That is, is it you? they will say. Allah's promise is true. Allah Almighty is free from deficient attributes. That He, out of His mercy to people, tells these events by making people live them with feelings is to protect people from the end that is to come. I said a moment ago, didn't I, Allah Almighty gives us good news of what is to come. What did I say a moment ago? You will go to a city. They put before you that city's map and its museums or historical monuments.

A book came out, you read it. The city's map is in it too. And those guides, those heralds, when they show you around there - you had also read the books in your hands. You are not strangers to what they say. Roughly, that is, you are familiar with what he tells. You become familiar with what that person tells. Likewise Allah Almighty, Hell or A'raf, what the people of A'raf say, the state of those waiting at the Great Court or those who will be called to account at the court - how nicely He explains it here to people. Yes. So before reaching the hereafter, without feeling regret, regret - before reaching the hereafter, without feeling regret, let us return to Allah's verses and be governed by them, so that we do not meet the end the people of Hell meet.

To Hell - that is, so, before reaching the hereafter, regret - when they reach the hereafter, regret is of no use. I had said it that way here, but there was a mistake. So before reaching the hereafter, let us repent, so that we will say. Let us repent so that we return to Allah's verses and are governed by them. Let's correct this part a bit. Here, 'repent', 'without feeling regret' here - it's also right here, without feeling regret, that is, in the hereafter regret is of no use anymore. It takes the meaning of while in the world, but a bit wrong (?). Well, so before reaching the hereafter Yes.

Yes.

Let us repent before reaching the hereafter, so that we return to Allah's verses and are governed by them, so that we do not meet the end the people of Hell meet. Yes. Let us grasp that the life of this world is a place of earning for the hereafter. Living our life as a servant as Allah wills, gaining our hereafter, let us try to pass from this world so that in the end we are at ease.

Again the people of A'raf, these people of A'raf, this time turning to the people of Paradise: enter Paradise. There is no fear for you now. Because they recognise them by their marks, they have been separated. You will not grieve either, they say. Because all people's fears have calmed and all the things they desired were spread out before their eyes. Could a person still grieve there? Or be sad? What he desired was that very thing, Paradise. In the joy of it. Allah Almighty - these people, those who long for His Being, who persist in obedience and worship and attain Allah's mercy - in a verse: O soul at peace, your Lord with you, you with your Lord well pleased, enter among My servants, enter My Paradise, He says - including them among those people, He will settle them in Paradise, in Paradise according to their ranks, and make them heirs of Paradise.

From then on they will live eternal bliss and an eternal life. No more death either. Well, glad tidings to these. Did the Prophet not come as both a bringer of good news and a warner? To the verses he spoke as a bringer of good news: glad tidings to those who follow the religious rulings of Islam, he says; those who follow them are the people of Paradise. Those who turn their backs on (?), who turn their backs on the verses - woe to them. In one sense, these people of A'raf, after becoming aware of these events, since their nafs reaches perfection, it may mean that they too go to Paradise, we say.
