Al-A'raf 51: They (the infidels) are the ones who turned their religion into an amusement and entertainment, the worldly life deceived them. As they have ignored the fact that they will be facing this Day and knowingly denied (and ignored) Our verses, We too, ignore them today!

Surah Al-A'raf, verse 51. Those disbelievers who took their religion as amusement and play.

The disbelievers took their religion as play and amusement, Allah (?) they took. According to their own desires and wishes, their books, the book Allah sent, they changed, and in line with their nafs they lived their own ideologies, they deified their nafs. Those disbelievers who took their religion as amusement and play, and the life of the world deceived them. The life of the world. In the life of the world they were deceived. Just as they forgot that they would meet this day of theirs and knowingly denied Our verses, so today We forget them, He says. We forget them. This is metaphorical - We forget, Allah Almighty says, in a metaphorical sense. That is, We withdraw Our mercy from them.

All My servants - although I created My servants, Allah Almighty says, I am with them. When He says I am with them: with them, the One who arranges all their states and movements, who gives them fine provisions and keeps them alive, He says. But if He says I forgot - if He had forgotten, they would not be subjected to the torment of Hell. They would not be fed from the zaqqum tree there, and He would not say that they (?), after burning there, no longer feel and taste. This is metaphorical. What is it? I have withdrawn My mercy from them, and they, far from My mercy, of My torment, that is, of My justice, in that unerring justice of Mine, those left subject to torment, those who left their own (?) subject to torment, those who joined the group, people. So they were forgotten, that is, for them there is no mercy. What does He say? For them there is no good news at all in Hell, He says.

No good news. What is good news? You will be saved from here one day. Don't be afraid, hold on a little longer, you'll go to Paradise in the end anyway. There is no good news like: there is no death here. You are permanently, eternally the people of Hell there.

Those disbelievers took their religion as amusement and play, and the life of the world deceived them. Yes. Allah's verses He sent and the religion He made known to them through His commands - their taking it as play and amusement has one sole aim: they see their own existence and minds as superior to Allah. Yes. If they did not see themselves as superior to Allah, they would not deny Allah Almighty with that pride and arrogance. It is because they see their own existence and minds as superior to Allah. In this case, belittling the verses Allah sent, to Allah's rulings: outdated and desert laws; to those governed by Allah's commands: this is reactionism - those who say so, when they deify their nafs - have you not seen those who deify the nafs, those who act according to that verse, the world sending them its adornment, taking Satan as a friend, taking the taghut behind them, denying the verses Allah sent and His prophets - such people.

These are people who are unjust to their own nafs. Taghut means people who do evil like Satan, or it means Satan. We always use it in the sense of people who are evil like Satan and do evil - taghut. Yes. So these people, deifying their own nafs, belittling the verses Allah Almighty sent, seeing their own minds as superior to Allah, calling Allah's verses desert law, and with lower feelings, with the whim Satan gave to his nafs, with pride and arrogance, though in need of the blessings Allah gives, he eats and drinks them with relish, and ungratefully, without thanking Allah, and moreover rebelling against Him and seeing himself as superior to Him, this helpless man turns his back on Allah.

And with that Satan, who is the enemy of Allah, with that Satan who is his own enemy, he makes friends. Just look at his mind. With man's enemy, his mortal enemy, his eternal enemy. Yes.

They forgot that they would meet this day of Allah. Allah, to people in the world, Paradise and Hell reminding them, and sending His verses - the people who deny Allah and do not believe in that Day of Reckoning mocking the verses, looking down on those who say Allah, leading the way in kufr and forcing people to turn from their religion, knowingly denying Allah and the Day of the Hereafter and not wanting to remember, those days forgetting - in return for this Allah Almighty too: We too have forgotten these today, He will say. We too have forgotten you today. That is, We have lifted Our mercy from you.

Today you are outside His mercy, alone and without anyone, He says. Alone. Yes. In this case Allah Almighty states that people are eternally the people of Hell, and also that from (?) they cannot get out.

Allah Almighty, who tells the coming events of the realm of the hereafter as if today, fresh, making people live them, tells what will befall people just as it is. What? I said a moment ago, didn't I: they will send you somewhere, they give you a book, that city they introduce to you. When you go there you won't be a stranger. So there, in the realm of the hereafter, when you are resurrected, alas, they will say. What the prophets said was true. (?) The book was brought before them, placed there. Alas, he will say. Everything small and large has been written down here. What kind of book is this?

he will say. Yes, so that regret, without being of use - that regret is of no use there. In the world you must use your mind.

What are we saying? Allah Almighty, who tells the coming events of the realm of the hereafter as if today, fresh, making people live them, tells what will befall people just as it is - He tells it. The true human takes lessons from these and arranges his life accordingly. And when he passes on to the hereafter, may he attain Allah's mercy. May Allah grant guidance to the whole ummah of Muhammad. May He free them from the torment of Hell. May He include them among His servants who attain His mercy. Amen. Yes.
