Prominent people from his nation said; “We truly see you in a great error.”
Tafsir
The prominent people of Noah's people, those who had authority, those who were rich in wealth and property, said to Noah, "Verily, we see you in error. Since the believers act as mirrors for the people they meet, they prove that they themselves are perverse and vile by seeing their own perversity on Hazrat Noah.
A Prophet who invites people to salvation and salvation, who serves for the salvation of the people without any remuneration from them, who wants to bring them to peace and the infinite mercy of Allah, and a people reacts to this, denies the messengers of Allah, says to him: "We see you in error, and corrupts the generation that comes after you", then Allah, being just, will eradicate that people from the face of the earth.
What is said in the video
Surah Al-A'raf, verse 60: The leaders of his people said: We truly see you in clear error, they said. Don't they say the same to those who tell the truth anyway? Some false superstitions, this man has gone into some deep matters; those who go too far into the world of the hereafter fall into kufr, they join the ranks of the Mu'tazila, things like that. But of course their short minds cannot grasp it. They cannot understand what it is. Because they do not know the meanings of His verses either. Now, in this case, these people too, within that kufr, when the truth was told, when Noah told them the truth, what do those short minds of theirs say? We see you in error, they say.
Whereas, can there be only one God? they say. Look how many gods we have, they say. How many? Well, by whom were those many gods of yours created? He cannot think of that. Well. And does a person worship as a god what he made with his own hands? You make it with your own hands, you shape it. So how do you believe in this? How do you come along? You stand before it in reverence. With what mind, though you were created so honored, do you use none of your reason? Yes.
The leaders of Noah's people, those with a say, those rich in goods and property, addressing Noah, said: Truly, we see you in error. Since believers act as a mirror to the people facing them, by seeing their own error in Noah they proved that they themselves were the ones astray and base. The believer is the mirror of the believer, you see; that is how Allah Almighty put it. The believer is the mirror of the believer, of the Prophet; a believer at one end of the world, a believer at the other end, the two are brothers, He says. Yes.
A prophet is one who invites people to salvation and deliverance. The Prophet, with Allah's verses, in a way that gives those people life; you see, they had come to the unseen world with partial will in them, that is, a partial mind, a partial mind. In this case, since with these minds people cannot fully decide, Allah Almighty shows them the way. But those people's mental capacity, that is, the covenant they gave in the world of the hereafter, being rebellious, their capacity is very small, very low. It is unable to encompass the verses that come. That is how the capacity is. That is how their character is.
So it is beyond their comprehension.
A prophet is one who invites people to salvation and deliverance. Without taking any payment from them, he serves people's salvation. He wants to bring them to peace and to Allah's endless mercy, and yet that people reacts against it. They call Allah's messengers liars. They tell him: we see you in error; if they corrupt the generation coming after them, Allah, being just, then wipes that people off the face of the earth. Of course, though Muhammad wanted so much for his people to turn to Allah, his people (?), and in the end, him saying: I have been defeated, that is the destruction of those worlds.
In fact, these are all events prepared within a program.
