The deniers among the prominent people from his nation said; “We truly see you in great ignorance and we believe that you are among the liars.”
Tafsir
The elders of Hadrat Hud's people, i.e. the wealthy, the owners of property, said, "We certainly see you in ignorance." They said, "We see you in ignorance." The believers are the mirrors of people. Believers are the mirrors of people. In this respect, they see their own ignorance reflected in the mirror of Hadrat Hud 'alaihis-salâm'.
Being people of ignorance and disbelief and living with inhuman behavior, they will of course oppose their Prophets by refusing to accept those who will entrust them with the truth. It is also their denial of Hadrat Hud (peace be upon him), which in their own minds is a way of satisfying their pride and greatness by becoming great among their people.
What is said in the video
Let it be a little.
The disbelieving notables of his people said: we definitely see you in foolishness and we truly think you are one of the liars, they say. To Hud (peace be upon him). The notables of the people of Hud (peace be upon him), that is, the owners of (?), the wealthy people; and people, by turning their backs on Allah Almighty, by distancing themselves from Allah, tie all their hopes to the world. To the world. For them the worldly realm settles in their hearts as the realm of existence. And Allah falls to second place. Whereas if a person inclines toward what Allah created and abandons Allah, they become porters of the world.
The porters are these. The man carrying a load on his back is not a porter. They are gentlemen. They are people who work by the sweat of their brow to support their families. Who is the porter, then? The person who has shouldered the world and (?) the hereafter is the porter. Yes.
The notables of the people of Hud (peace be upon him), that is, the owners of (?), the wealthy ones: we definitely see you in foolishness. That is, you have gone mad, you are senseless, you speak in a way that you cannot control yourself. Look, we have so many gods; so now should we believe in a single god and worship him? Where did you make these up from? These are the tales of the ancients, as they said. In this respect they see their own ignorance reflected in the mirror of Hud (peace be upon him). Yes, their being people of ignorance and kufr, their lives of inhuman behavior: of course, not approaching those who would entrust the truth to them, out of nafs-driven behavior, they will oppose their prophets.
Also, by denying Hud (peace be upon him), by their own reckoning, among his people they magnify their existence and satisfy their pride and haughtiness. Today, do the unbelievers not also, toward the forsaken, the weak, (?), swaggering with pride, satisfy their nafs, do they not? Shall we prove this? How shall we prove it? How do they satisfy their pride over those poor ones? They do not take on children. Because their children, by their own laws, do not recognize mother and father. After a certain level, the parents cannot interfere with them. And since the parents do not approve of those ways of theirs, they embrace their life in their own (?); but since they do not approve of it in children, they do not take on children.
So what do they take? They take dogs, dogs. By giving orders to dogs, as those dogs obey them, they deify their nafs. They take pride, they swagger. And by holding dog gatherings they supposedly socialize.
How beautifully the Prophet says it. A time will come, he says, when love of dogs will surpass love of people, he says. Yes. These are they.
