Al-A'raf 77: Then, they killed the female camel by cutting off its feet and they disobeyed their Lord’s order. They shouted; “Shelah! If you are truly among the Prophets, bring to us the punishment you threatened us with!”

Surah Al-A'raf, verse 77, says: Then they killed that she-camel by cutting its legs. The miracle, that yellow camel that came out of the rock; these people, in the whims of their nafs, and with the temptation that Satan gave them, because they rebelled against Allah, cut the camel's legs and killed the camel. And Allah Almighty: they asked for a miracle, and We too, this miracle We show, and if they also oppose that miracle We showed, then Allah Almighty says: I am not helpless. His helplessness, people; to bring Allah's helplessness to light: the camel you brought forth, we have killed it. Come on, do whatever you will. If Allah does nothing, His helplessness comes to light.

Because now it is a direct confrontation with Him.

In the time of the Prophet, too, from the Prophet they asked for many miracles. Because they would not believe in some miracles, Allah Almighty did not show them those miracles they asked for. So that He would not (?) and destroy them. Because in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), who came as a mercy to the worlds, He did not destroy. Nothing at all. Because he had come as a mercy. Since he is among them as a mercy, since he is alive, until the Day of Judgment there is no destruction, there are calamities. Yes.

So they killed that camel by cutting its legs.

Not recognising Allah, that they believed in gods they had invented, and that their gods they would not stop worshipping, that they would not leave the footsteps of their ancestors, they declared. Let us read from the beginning, let us read the verse. Then they killed that she-camel by cutting its legs, and stepped outside their Lord's command, and said: O Salih, if you are truly one of the prophets, the punishment you threaten us with, bring it to us. Here is the camel you brought forth, from your Lord; your Lord, you kept saying. Come on then, look, we have slaughtered your Lord's camel. Come on now, bring it on, he says, show us your punishment, let's see.

Such pitiful people who do not use their minds at all. This people, who even declared their unbelief to you, the she-camel that Allah Almighty sent as a clear miracle they killed by cutting its legs. So these actions of theirs were total defiance of Allah, and not recognising Allah, they declared that they believed in gods they had invented and that from worshipping their gods they would not desist, that they would not leave the footsteps of their ancestors, they declared. At the same time, calling out to Prophet Salih: O Salih, where is your Allah? If you are of the truthful, bring the punishment of that Allah you threaten us with, they said.

So these senseless people, although they know the fates of the peoples who passed before them, people of the same character and mindset, (?), except the exceptional ones who follow their prophets, gathering under the same society, do the same deed. That is, continuing in idolatry, in satisfying the whims of their nafs they compete with one another.

Allah Almighty does not punish people. People apply the punishment to their own selves. For this reason, both by denying Allah and by killing the camel, Allah's clear miracle, thereby challenging Allah too, by openly saying: so where is Allah's punishment; with that, they were asking for Allah's punishment upon themselves. Yes. That is, what do they say openly? So where is your Allah's punishment? What happened to your Allah's punishment? You used to say so, didn't you, they say, mocking.

They asked for Allah's punishment upon themselves. By speaking in this way.
