(We have sent) Lut (Lot) (as a Prophet) as well. He said to his nation; “Are you committing the fornication that no nation before you have committed?”
Tafsir
Allah (swt) sent Hazrat Lut as a Prophet to his people. The people of Lot practiced immorality of prostitution, which no nation before them had ever practiced. Leaving women behind, the men began to do a degrading and Allah-cursed deed with each other. These men satisfied their lust in each other and left their lawful women and began to engage in livata with men.
Allah sent a Prophet to such a rebellious people so that they would not transgress. But man is such that he is covered with the veil of hayaa. People who do not have a veil of haya think that the evil deeds they do are mercy like rain falling from the sky. They are not ashamed of people, nor do they fear Allah, and they make this immorality their glory and fame.
What is said in the video
We continue from verse 80 of Surah Al-A'raf.
Allah Almighty also sent Lot, the noble Lot, as a prophet. Lot is the grandson of the brother of Abraham (peace be upon him).
Yes, in Homs, in the city of Sodom, to the people of that city, as a prophet he was sent. He is sent as a prophet to the people of the city of Sodom in Homs.
In verse 80 of Surah Al-A'raf Lot was mentioned, and Lot's brief history, that is, who he was, we told you. What was it? The grandson of the brother of Abraham (peace be upon him).
When Abraham (peace be upon him) was thrown into the fire, Allah Almighty told the fire: be cool and safe, and when he was saved there unharmed, he took Lot along with him and set out. He himself goes to blessed Mecca, Abraham (peace be upon him). And Lot to Homs; Hama, Homs, these are in Syria. There, to the people of the city of Homo, as a prophet he is sent.
Lot too a prophet; We also sent Lot as a prophet to his people. He said: Do you commit the indecency that none of the nations before you committed? The position of Lot (peace be upon him) toward people was even more severe, that is, a difficult position. The reason: that people leave their wives, which is what Allah commands, and men commit sodomy with one another, commit indecency; surely the situation and hardship of the man sent to the people of that city you can now imagine. So much so that when the angels charged with destroying the people of that city came, even the angels who came in human form, their trying to take even them from Lot, and events that show how this nation overstepped Allah's limits.
Allah protect us. May Allah preserve us.
Such a (?), self-oblivious, filthy people.
Allah Almighty sent Lot as a prophet to his people. The people of Lot committed indecency, immorality, that no nation before them had committed. Leaving the women, the men, with one another, a (?) act that Allah calls accursed, began to commit. These men, satisfying their lust with one another, leaving the women lawful to them, began committing sodomy with men. Allah Almighty sent a prophet to such an unruly people so that they would not overstep the limits. As we always say, it is useful to recall the verse. We, it says, to the centre of a town We are to destroy, to those oppressors who rule it, someone who conveys the truth: unless We send one, it says, We do not destroy them, it says.
So to the centre of this land too, to the people of that city, to the people of the city of Sodom in Homs, He sends Lot as a prophet.
Although Lot told them what was needed, Allah's command, they (?) Lot too.
Allah Almighty, to such an unruly people, so that they would not overstep the limits, sent a prophet. But a human being is one wrapped in the veil of modesty. That is a human. This veil of modesty must be there. People without the veil of modesty think the evil they have done is, for them, like rain falling from the sky, a mercy. Just as they are not ashamed before people, they do not fear Allah either. They make this immorality a source of glory and fame for themselves. Yes.
May Allah reform such people. Are there none in our time? Many.
Many. They have even gone further. Those who marry people of their own sex. Those who pass laws for them. Who are these? Those living outside the light of Islam, unjust to their own selves, whose hearts are restless and scattered, people who have turned their backs on Allah and rebel. (?), like four-legged animals, even more astray in their course, as it says: these (?) people. Yes, are there none in our time? There are. Allah Almighty (?) them calamity, but who understands that calamity?
Once people start chasing their lust...
May Allah Almighty reform such people.
