Among the prominent people from his nation, those who showed arrogance said; “Oh Jethro (Shuayb). We will surely drive you and the believers who are with you away from our home. Or you will return to our religion.” Jethro (Shuayb) said; “Even if we do not desire it?”

Tafsir

The arrogant ones of his people, the ones who were in love with a head, the ones who despised people, said, 'We will certainly expel you and those who believe with you from our land or you will return to our religion. Look at the game of the nafs, even though Allah (swt) has destroyed such a people with the calamities that He has given a few umbilical cords away from such a rebellious people, and has replaced them with these people, multiplied them, fed them, given them to drink, and given them all these blessings. How irresponsible they are, tearing the veil of haya with all its filth and bitchiness, and adopting the worst ways for themselves. Forgetting their Creator, they deny the truth and reality, opposing those who advise them. It is as if this tribe is unaware of the tribes that perished before them in recent history, and they forget Allah and deify their ego. They do not stop worshipping idols. They oppose those who call to Allah and advise them and decide to expel them from their land. Hadrat Shu'ayb replied, "Will you try to force us away from our religion even if we do not want to?

If we look at the people who perished, they were all of the same mindset. They may oppose those who advise them with slightly different words, but their deeds and the paths they follow are always the same.

History repeats itself. In the course of time, the actions committed by the destroyed tribes have also been committed by them. The same people exist today. If Allah does not destroy people in our time, Allah does not destroy people because of the existence of Hazrat Muhammad (s.a.w.) (wema erselnake illa rahmeten lil alamin), because he is alive and present among us and because of the blessings of his prayer. Allah (swt) gives two or three plagues a year to those who disobey Allah, to those who pursue immorality and filth, to prove His existence and that He does not consent to evil.

Those who abandon Allah and make idols with their hands and worship them as gods, why would they worship them as gods if they did not know Allah?

What is said in the video

We have come to verse 88, Surah Al-A'raf, verse 88. The arrogant chiefs among his people said: O Shu'ayb. The arrogant ones, who are these arrogant ones? Those who obtain the goods Allah Almighty created and think themselves rich, who think themselves men of means, who think themselves men with a say, having a say, or who occupy certain places, from among those rulers: those arrogant ones, who look down on people, We will surely drive you and those who believe with you out of our land, they say. The same, the same kind of words.

The same words. History is in any case nothing but repetition. History too is nothing but repetition. Since they too have the same mindset, they are people who repeat exactly the words their forefathers said.

Or you will return to our religion, they said. That is, you will return to the idols, they said. Although Allah Almighty, with the calamities He gave a few generations back to such rebellious peoples, destroyed those peoples and brought these in their place, (?), fed them and gave them drink, and gave them so many blessings, look at the game of the nafs. Look at this game of the nafs. What it prepares for a person.

How irresponsibly, with all their filth and malice, tearing the veil of shame, they take the worst ways as their emblem. Forgetting the Creator, opposing the one who admonishes, they deny the truth and reality. As if this people, (?), unaware of the peoples destroyed in recent times, forgetting Allah, deify their own nafs. Nor do they give up worshipping idols. Opposing those who invite to Allah and those who give them advice, they decide to expel them from their land. Shu'ayb (peace be upon him): Even if we are unwilling, will you then try to force us from our religion? So they answered. Yes. Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) says so: Even if we are unwilling, will you try by force to turn us from our religion?

If we look at the people who were destroyed, those destroyed are all people of the same mindset. As I said a moment ago. They always say the same words. You (?) we will drive out. You say (?). Do not follow them. These are the inventions of the old ones, the forefathers. Always with the same words, persuading one another, with words pleasing to their nafs, following Satan, they continue on their way. Though with somewhat different words, those who advise them they may oppose, the deeds they want and the paths they take are always the same paths. History is nothing but repetition. The deeds that the peoples destroyed over time carried out, these too have begun to carry out.

Yes, the same people exist today too. If in our time Allah Almighty does not destroy people, it is because the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), being ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l- âlemîn, is alive and among us, and by the blessing of his prayer Allah does not give destruction to people. To Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty (?) the proof of His existence and that He does not consent to evil: to those who defy Allah, who run after shamelessness and filth, He gives two or three calamities a year in this case. Because the Prophet is alive, because he came as mercy to the worlds, Allah Almighty does not give destruction to that mercy.

If it is mercy, what will He do? He will give calamities. So those who in this way abandon Allah, make idols with their hands and as gods worship them: if they did not know Allah, why would they worship them as gods? So every mind knows that it has a creator. By worshipping idols it proves this. But since they turn their backs on Allah and do not know Allah, they wait for the Lord of their imagination, whereas, as we always say, by Allah Almighty's verse saying they will not see their Lord, these, waiting for the Lord of their imagination, waiting for a Lord of the kind their nafs likes, that for their wealth and commands He would favor, favor them, or would make them people of rank beside Him; those who desire this, who define themselves that way, turned their backs on Allah, on the one who created them.

If they had not thought this way, that is, those wealthy and arrogant people, that beside Allah by their wealth their worth would be great, if they had not supposed that, they would not have said this. If Paradise exists, it is our right, they say. Because we are wealthy and very numerous in lineage. Paradise too becomes their right. They are very numerous in lineage and descent. That is, in former times people were very numerous in kin and relations. Their wealth was great too. So if Paradise is real, it was theirs. That wealth, those people: did you create them?

The Creator, Allah, with children and family, with those things, what kind of person you are, what you serve, to prove it to yourself, He created these worlds, and to hold us as witnesses to ourselves, our surroundings and Allah He created this wealth. With these things we too are tested with one another, like this. So you, what Allah created, (?), if Paradise is my right, I, well, if Paradise exists, can you say it is my right? Allah Almighty, all (?), wealth, matter, all (?). The inheritance of the heavens and the earth will remain with Allah, it says. Because Allah created it, it will be Allah's.

And we are people tested with Allah's things. So a person in such a wretched way against his prophets, against Allah, if he turns his back, surely the eternal abode of Hell, the title deed to the abode of Hell he will have obtained. Yes.

So these too know Allah. They know Allah. But because they desire the Allah of their own imagination, because He will favor them. He will raise them up beside Him.

Because those people are rich, whatever they do, He will favor them, and since they await a god of this kind, Allah's, among people, civil, or without anyone being wronged, entire law they will of course oppose. That does not suit them.
