Al-A'raf 89: Verily, if we would return to your religion after Allah has saved us from it, we would have fabricated lies against Allah. With the exception of Allah, our Lord’s desire, it is not possible for us to return to it (idols). Our Lord’s knowledge has encircled everything. We only depend on Allah. Our Lord! Judge between us and our nation with justice. You are the best of judges.”

Verily, if we would return to your religion after Allah has saved us from it, we would have fabricated lies against Allah. With the exception of Allah, our Lord’s desire, it is not possible for us to return to it (idols). Our Lord’s knowledge has encircled everything. We only depend on Allah. Our Lord! Judge between us and our nation with justice. You are the best of judges.”
Tafsir
Shu'ayb replied, "If we leave Him and return to your religion, after Allah (swt) has saved us from it, that is, after we have been cleansed from idol worship, after we have been purified, after we have come to know Allah (swt), the owner of the universe, the Creator of everything, the only One, if we leave Him and return to your religion, we would be lying against Allah, which is not possible.
(Except for those who of their own free will shun people, or enjoy the pleasures of the world, or prefer to seek refuge with people instead of seeking refuge with Allah, or enjoy the worship of idols and return to idolatry. Whatever the will of the people is from Allah, Allah (swt) has written the will of the people as their destiny. When they come to the realm of property, they live their destiny with their will in their hands. Except that such people return to idolatry by their own will. Otherwise, it is not possible for us to go back to idolatry, Shu'ayp (peace be upon him) replied.
(Allah's knowledge encompasses the universe) Allah has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them out of nothing with His knowledge. The knowledge of every particle of His creation is with Allah. In this respect, Allah, who is not free from His creatures, knows what they all need at any given moment and what is being discussed. In this respect, when He says, "My knowledge encompasses the universe," it is because He is aware of every particle of the universe. Those who have recourse to Allah have said to Him, 'O Allah, judge between us and our people with justice, for we are a people who rely on You alone and trust in You.
When it says (judge with justice), it means, O Allah, you are the judge of judges, and you judge without discrimination between your creatures. I may be wrong and they may be right. You judge between my people and us, so that our case between us and these people may be separated. Let the righteous and the unrighteous be clear, O Allah. For You are the best of those who decide and judge. They say, 'O Allah, there is not an iota of injustice in Your judgment.
What is said in the video
In verse 89 of Surah Al-A'raf, too: Surely, if we returned to your religion after Allah has saved us from it, we would have invented a lie against Allah, says Shu'ayb (peace be upon him). That is: after He saved us from that destruction, if we again returned to that error of yours, we would surely have invented a lie against Allah. It is not for us to return, he says. Our Lord's knowledge encompasses everything. We rely only on Allah. Our Lord, judge with justice between us and our people. You are the best of those who judge, of those who judge, he says. Yes.
that is,
now I am helpless, he says, helpless, I have been defeated by these people; he too says the same thing. Now these will start to (?) us. the people who believe in You, sir, even by force, them or with torture, or else they will try to turn them back to themselves. Separate us, he says. Shu'ayb (peace be upon him). After Allah Almighty has saved us from it, that is, after cleansing us of idol worship, after knowing Allah, the One who owns the universe, who creates everything, if we left Him and returned to your religion, we would have lied against Allah, and this is not possible, Shu'ayb answered them.
Our Lord: apart from those who wish of Allah, people of their own will are wary of people. They like the pleasures of the world; instead of taking refuge in Allah, they prefer to take refuge in people. Or if they like worshipping idols and go back to idolatry, these are the exception. Whatever people desire from Allah, Allah Almighty has written people's desires for them as their destiny. When they come to the material world, they live their destiny with their partial will in their hands. So the exception is such people returning to idolatry of their own will. Otherwise it is not possible for us to go back to idolatry, he says.
So Shu'ayb (peace be upon him) answered his people.
Yes.
Allah Almighty's knowledge encompasses the universe. He is the One who brings all into being from nothing and creates all the worlds. With His knowledge Allah brought the heavens and the earth and what is between them into being from nothing. The knowledge of every degree of what He has created is with Allah. In this respect Allah, who is not apart from what He created, knows at every moment what all of them need and what is spoken. In this respect, His saying 'Your knowledge, My knowledge encompasses the universe' is because He is aware of every particle of the universe. Those who turn back to Allah, with supplication to Him: O Allah, as people who rely only on You and trust in You, judge with justice between us and our people, he said.
With justice. We have nothing more to do with them, and they have now become a rebellious people; going even further, they will start to oppress those who believe in You, O Allah. Separate us, he says.
Yes.
Here, when he says judge with justice: O Allah, as the Judge of judges, You judge among Your creatures without discrimination. I may be wrong and they may be right. You decide between my people and us, so that our case with these people is settled. Let the right and the wrong become clear. O Allah, he says. For You are the best of those who decide, of those who judge. In Your judgment there is not an atom's weight of injustice. O Allah, he says. Now, the prophets... the scholars are the heirs of the prophets, right? (?) scholars are heirs of the Prophet. I say it in the same way too. If we come into conflict with someone,
just like that: O Allah, I see myself as right, but (?) he is right. He is right. But I understand it like this according to the verses. I understand it like this. And he understands it that way. He may be right. You separate between us, the right or the wrong, I say. I never hold myself free of that. With justice. Because Allah knows better who is right and who is wrong. If you cannot decide on (?), He says, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, He says. To Allah and His Messenger. I say so too. If they come at us further, I say, let Allah separate us. He is the best of those who decide.
