Al-A'raf 96: If the people of those nations had believed and abstained (from sins), We surely would have opened the doors of many provisions in the heaven and earth upon them. But they disbelieved. And We caught them because of what they were doing.

We have come to verse 96 of Surah Al-A'raf. Had the people of the lands to which those prophets were sent believed and guarded against sin, We would surely have opened upon them many doors of blessing from the sky and the earth. But they denied. So We seized them for what they did, it says. If, it says, those people had carried out what I said, had obeyed My prophets, had known the purpose of creation, and held human honour and dignity above the other creatures, had they been obedient, both from above them, that is, from the air, from the sea, and from beneath them, that is, from the soil, We would have drowned them in blessings, it says. In blessings.

And in a verse it says this: As long as a person does not change what is within him, We never, it says, give him an affliction. As long as he does not change what is within him. Well, if you always said 'Allah', were grateful for the sustenance Allah gives and kept busy with worship of your Lord, and in your free time minded halal and haram, were wary of Allah and feared Him, kept His love alive in your heart, it is impossible that Allah Almighty would wrong you. That is impossible. Yes.

Had the land to which prophets were sent and its people, following their prophets and listening to Allah's commands, believed, had they guarded against sin out of fear of Allah, surely Allah Almighty would have given such people a prosperous life. Allah Almighty would have opened many doors of blessing from the sky and the earth to such a people. Allah Almighty encompasses the universe with His knowledge. He would have let them taste abundant rain from the sky and every kind of blessing from the earth.

Wealth and property belong to Allah. Every soul will taste death; in the end all these perfections, all existence will remain to Allah. According to the verse that says the inheritance of the heavens and the earth belongs to Allah, no one will take a single atom to the hereafter. So if man is deceived by this passing worldly life, and regards Allah's property as his own, cannot grasp that these goods were given him as a livelihood for worldly life, boasts of his wealth and property and forgets Allah, then Allah Almighty either destroys that town, or grants them a prosperous life, and just when they, in comfort, make every kind of filth their emblem, when they regard every evil way as permissible for themselves, Allah Almighty destroys such a people from the earth and wipes them out.

Yes. Allah Almighty, some peoples He will destroy, to peoples He gives abundantly. The more they receive, the more spoiled they get. The more they receive, the more they turn to immorality. The more they receive, the more they try to step outside Allah's command and push the limits, and when He opens, right at that moment, when they have reached full prosperity, Allah (?) the affliction upon them. He destroys them and wipes them off the earth.

So because of their denial and their drowning the earth in corruption with selfish and satanic feelings, Allah Almighty seized such peoples and punished them. So people are not left to themselves. They seem left to themselves, but they are not. After all, everything they do is written down, by the Kiraman Katibin, (?) their sins are written down, but in examples like these too our Lord beautifully, so beautifully proves that He is with us. From this verse it is understood that, to give an example, if to people a building to sit in at their work, but with every moment recorded on camera, were handed over. A building.

So Allah Almighty's wiping people off the earth because they deny Allah is like this. Yes. In our time too, they associate partners with Allah Almighty. The reason they are not destroyed is that among us is the one who is 'mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l-âlemîn', the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). They are only given a few afflictions a year. Yes.
