(But) they do not wait for anything but its interpretation. When its interpretation comes (when the things that it was promising come true), those who had forgotten about it before will say; “Verily, the Messengers of our Lord have brought the truth. Now, do we have any intercessors who will intercede; and is it possible that we will be returned (to earth) so that we will commit deeds other than those we have committed?” They have truly brought upon themselves pity, and the things they have fabricated (idols) will vanish from them.

Tafsir

Those polytheists and those who do not believe in Allah are watching for the interpretation of the Holy Quran. That is, they watch for the time when the Verses will be revealed. Even if the Verses are revealed with miracles, they will still not believe. In these feelings, they will live out their lives and go away in rebellion against Allah.

(When the news of the Day of Resurrection and the resurrection of people and the Day of Reckoning when everyone will be held to account for what they have done, those who have forgotten Allah and the Hereafter by following the footsteps of Satan and their own desires while living in the worldly world will say in the Hereafter: (Indeed, the messengers of our Lord have brought the truth. Do we have any intercessors so that we can do anything other than the deeds we have done?" In other words, these people believe that the Prophets came from Allah in the Hereafter, but they do not believe in Allah who created them. When Allah says that His messengers have brought the truth, they attribute it to the Allah they imagine. In this case, when Allah, Who created them, calls the group of wrongdoers to account, they still hesitate and do not believe in Allah, Who created them, because He created man close to Himself. That is why they will spend eternity in Hell. Do we have any intercessors there to intercede for us? When they see that the idols they used to worship do not benefit them, when they see that their idols have disappeared, they realize that they are faced with torment by being left alone.

(Is it possible for us to be brought back to this world so that we can do something other than the deeds we have done? In other words, they say that if we were to come back to the world again, we would judge by what those Prophets said and do what they said. In fact, they deceive themselves with this kind of talk. Because it is in their nature to lie and deny (if they came back to this world not once but several times, they would still do the same deeds). In this respect, they have lost the opportunities given to human beings. In this respect, these people (have really pity on themselves. They have lost themselves in idols). Here is a lifetime given to man in this world, and its end is a fiasco and disappointment. followed by the eternal agony of an eternal life.

O man! Was this intellect given to you for ornamentation? Have you never thought that by following this temporary pleasure, by deifying your nafs, it will expose you to torment and suffering? Surely you have realized this very well. But you could not help yourself from your ego and the devil, who deceives you and pretends to be your friend, and from following the tagut. If so, you've really done yourself a disservice.

O human being! The treasure of life is never to be regained, and regret is useless. Use your mind, contemplate, and turn away from harm. Turn to the truth, repent, and you will find salvation. Otherwise, your fate is an eternal life of pain and suffering.

What is said in the video

Verse 53: of Surah Al-A'raf, verse 53 of the Holy Quran. But they, who are these? When it says "but they", in parentheses already, the polytheists, the polytheists. They await nothing but its interpretation (ta'wil). That is, other than the interpretation of the Holy Quran. They will interpret it, and if they did interpret it, they would mock it. Mock it. Its interpretation; let's say what ta'wil is, let's give a little information about it. For example, what does Alif, Lam, Mim mean? Allahu a'lam. I mean, you will interpret it, interpret it. in that case they will make fun of you over it. Or, as with Sirat, as the friends know, you will say the bridge of Sirat.

You will interpret it. Or you will interpret the mizan. That is, justice, mizan, the scale. When you interpret this, if you tie it to Allah Almighty's mercy, then since all servants too belong to Allah, those who interpret the mizan, those Mu'tazilites, Hell too they abolish. Yes. They interpret some things like this. These are not good things. For all of us. In this case they want, sir, they await nothing but its interpretation. They will interpret it, or they will speak in a way that turns in their favour. The verses will come that way. The day its interpretation comes, the things it told of come out, what does it say?

The day its interpretation comes, its interpretation comes, the things it told of come out, those who forgot it before will say: Indeed, the messengers of our Lord brought the truth. Now, do we have intercessors who would intercede for us? That is, in the hereafter, when the reality of the interpretation appears, the reality of interpretation is what? The originals of the verses. Yes. When its interpretation comes, when the things it told of appear, the words those verses told of, the day Allah Almighty's verses come out, they will say: now, is there, he says, for us a way back? Let us do worship again.

They say: do we have intercessors who would intercede for us? That is, let them protect us, let them defend us. Yes.

And is it possible for us to be sent back to the world, he says. Yes. If we went back once more, if we went back to the world, sir, we would do what these prophets said. The prophets'. But not what Allah said. What the prophets said; now why is it not what Allah said but what the prophets said, let's open this up a little and pay attention. They see what the prophets said as the truth in the hereafter. But they do not believe in Allah. Which Allah do they believe in? Which Allah? They believe in the deity they expect in their imaginations. In this respect. What it says here, look, (?) the day it comes, those who forgot it say: indeed the messengers of our Lord brought the truth.

Which Lord? Not the Lord who created him. The Lord he expects in his own imagination. That is why it says they will not be able to see their Lord, you know. The verse supports this anyway. The verses always support one another. The Lord in their imaginations. Otherwise, if they had known that Allah created them, if they could have said "truly Allah created me, this is my Lord", for them eternal Hell would be abolished anyway. When they (?), they too would come out of Hell. But because they expect the Lord in their own imaginations, the Lord in their own imaginations (?) to the prophets. The prophets too are telling the truth, he says.

What the Lord in their own imagination said was true, he says. Is there no return to the world once more, he says; he says it with his own mouth anyway. He would again worship the same idols.

Yes. Within that program, within that crucible, they have had their scripts written with their own characters. Their characters became their destiny. Yes.

And is it possible for us to be sent back to the world, so that, other than the deeds we did, we do others? They have truly wronged themselves, and the things they made up, the idols too, have vanished from them. Yes. They vanished.

Those polytheists and those who do not believe in Allah watch for the interpretation of the Holy Quran. That is, they watch for the time when the verses will come about. So that they can interpret it. Or, sir, so that whatever suits them of what happens they accept. In fact, as it says, you know, the Jews, if, it says, something suits your interest, grab it, it says, take it, it says. If it does not suit your interest, it says, do not accept it, it says. In these verses. Our Lord says it with His verses. (?) supports the verses like this. Even if the verses appeared with miracles, these verses, every verse that comes came with miracles before those people's eyes, they still would not believe.

Because their (?) is like that, their character is like that. Those characters became their destiny. So in these feelings they fill out their lives and go as rebels against Allah. In these feelings, with such a life, they go as rebels against Allah. The day its interpretation comes, that is, what the verses told of before, the Hour striking, in their view, an interpretation; the day its interpretation comes, that is, when the verses come in the way we will tell you, without interpreting it, they wait for the interpretation, the disbelievers. Yes, the Hour striking, people being raised again, and on that Day of Reckoning, when the news comes of the day on which everyone will be called to account for what they did, when that day's news comes, those who forgot it before, those who forgot it before in the life of this world, people who, while living the worldly realm in this world, followed the footsteps of Satan with the whims of their nafs and forgot Allah and the hereafter, say in the hereafter, in the hereafter: indeed the messengers of our Lord brought the truth.

Indeed, the messenger of our Lord brought the truths. Which Lord? The Lord in his own imagination. Not our Lord. And Allah Almighty says: if only they had known Me here. If only they had known here. They (?) that too in the verse, "before", it says. If only they had known before. Not before; if only they had known here too. Because they will not be able to know. Why? Their destiny is so. Their character has been shaped that way. They wanted those characters. If only they had known here, He says. Out of Allah's mercy and compassion. Yes.

Indeed, the messengers of our Lord brought the truth. Now, do we have intercessors, so that we may do other than the deeds we did? That is, now he believes in that Lord in his imagination. "So they were your prophets," he says. "Now," he says, "is there," he says. "I believe in You completely now," he says. On top of that he worships his idols, he says. "Now I believe completely. Send me back, see how this time, other than that, I will worship. That is, I will do what the prophets said," he says. "Whatever You commanded, this time I will do that," he says. Again he (?) it to him. He (?) it to the Lord in his imagination.

Not to the Lord who created him.

Yes. That is, these people believe in the hereafter that the prophets came from Allah. They believe. They believe they came from Allah. But they do not believe in the Allah who created them. They do not believe in the Allah who created them. They believe that those prophets came from Allah. Which Allah? The deity sent by the Lord in their own imagination. They believe because of that. Yes. But they do not believe in the Allah who created them. When they say "Allah's messengers brought the truth", it is for the Allah they imagine that they speak these words. We have said: for the Allah they imagine.

Still he does not know Allah as Allah. Expecting the Lord in his own imagination, he knows the prophets as that Lord's messengers and there, again, he obeys his imaginary Lord.

In this case, since the Allah who created them created man (?), when He calls the community of wrongdoers to account, those who rebel against that Allah, those who out of the whims of the nafs, pride and arrogance deny Allah, when He calls them to account, still they hesitate about the Allah who created them and do not believe. They do not believe. Because the Lord in their imagination will come, they will take revenge on the Allah who created them. Revenge. In that crucible the characters were written, given, the destinies were written too. Because he wanted it so. In this case, when that Lord who creates leaves him subjected to punishment, because of the punishment he suffers there his hatred towards Allah Almighty will grow.

Their hatreds. And he will still wait for the Lord in his imagination. Now within that crucible, he himself, within that world of meaning, for many thousands of years there will burn like that. May Allah protect us. May Allah protect us from such a state.

So in this respect, these are eternal in Hell. There: do we have intercessors who would intercede for us? When they see that the idols they worshipped are of no use to them, that their idols have vanished, they understand that they are left alone facing the punishment. Yes.

What will he say?

"We worshipped idols. So we did wrong. We should have done what the prophets said." The prophets'. Which prophet's? The prophet sent by the one in his own imagination. "I," he says, "if I returned to the world once more," he says, "that prophet You sent, you know," he says, "I will do what he says," he says. When he returns to the world, again in the same feelings, against what that prophet said he will rebel. Because his feelings are like that. Yes. Is it possible for us to be sent back to the world, so that, other than the deeds we did, we do others? That is, if we went back to the world once more, we would abide by what those prophets said, we would do what they said, they say.

Actually, with such talk they deceive themselves, themselves. Because when he returns to the world, again, since the same characters are in him, with the same meanings, the same life conditions, the same understanding, they will do the same deed. Because in their nature there is lying and denial. Even if they came back to the world not once but several more times, they would do the same deed. In this respect, the chances given to man have also slipped from their hands. In our earlier lessons too we said: life is a treasure. When this treasure of life is lost from a person, that is, when death comes and your lifespan ends, your treasure is gone.

Now our people also use very strange words, our people do. For example, when someone passes away, "he lost his life", "his life was lost", these are the words they use. They do not realise that with these words they slip into kufr. "He lost his life, his life was lost." He doesn't say: Allah's decree has come to pass, he has completed his lifespan. What did he do? He lost his life, his life was lost. Repentance, astaghfirullah. I mean, with such ignorant words, as if it were in people's own hands, he lost his life, his life was lost. Well then, don't you lose it. One day you too will lose it, but for you it is not a loss.

In the proper words: Allah's decree will come to pass and you will complete your lifespan and pass on. You will not lose it. Life is not lost. Your life is not in your hands, that you could lose it. You have a lifespan. You will complete that lifespan and Allah's decree will come to pass. What is emr-i Hak, Allah's decree? Allah, (?), a number of breaths in which you will prove what kind of person you are has become your lifespan. The moment you complete that number of breaths, you have proven yourself. You have completed your lifespan. Your Lord, on the condition of keeping you neither an hour earlier nor an hour later, will send you to the hereafter.

You will go to the other world. While going to the hereafter: "oh, I lost my life", "oh, he lost his life". Was this in your hands? If it is in your hands, come on, don't lose it. Yes. Ignorant words. Words that make no sense. And people listen to this. "He lost his life, his life was lost." Yes.

(?) if they came back to the world once more, several more times, they would do the same deed. In this respect, the chances given to man have slipped from their hands. What is this chance? The chance of a lifespan. In this respect, these people have truly wronged themselves. The idols too have vanished from them. So: a vast lifespan given to man in the worldly realm, and the end of that lifespan is a fiasco and loss. Vast, and at the end of a lifespan a fiasco, that is, wasted, nothing came into his hands, it went up in air, it ended in disillusionment, that is, a fiasco. That illusion, it ended in disillusionment, yes, and loss, a loss after it. After it, the eternal agony of an eternal life.

What is it? Since they are there with no one and alone, if he spent the lifespan given in the world as a rebel against Allah, then the place of eternal punishment, the eternal dwelling place, Hell, is what he has sought. O man! Was this reason given to you as an ornament? Was reason given to you as an ornament? Doesn't Allah Almighty say: Do you never use your reason? Do you never think? Do you never reflect? So was this reason given to you as an ornament? Every mind was given as one that knows its Lord. I mean, knowing Allah, not in the sense of "sir, why couldn't I know". That is, when we say knowing Allah: a Lord created me.

People know this. Because they know it, because he knows he was created by a Lord, they make up made-up deities, they call made-up idols gods and worship them. They know they were created. Reason knows this. So if you used your reason a little more, if you knew that the idols will give you no benefit at all, instead of putting that spirit inside those idols and saying "I worship not the idol but that spirit", wouldn't it be better if you turned to Allah, to the One who created you? Your Lord sent you prophets, your Lord sent you books, your Lord sent you scholars. And Allah, the absolute owner of this world, with the outward and all its manifestations, with all of existence has proven His existence. In this case, if you still deify your own nafs and rebel against your Lord's command over you and turn your back on Him, and then the place you go becomes a place of agony and punishment, and there, as you see that agony, instead of being angry at your own nafs you bear a grudge against your Lord, then of course you stay there forever.

Your eternal place becomes there. Yes. So man will use his reason. His reason. Reason is man's great treasure. The support of a lifespan. What gives direction to your lifespan. Yes. O man! Was this reason given to you as an ornament? Chasing a passing pleasure, deifying your nafs, did you never think that it would expose you to punishment and agony? Surely you too perceived this very well. But from your nafs, and from Satan, who deceives you with cunning, who looks like a friend, and from following the taghut, you could not hold yourself back. That two-legged taghut and also that Satan, and the favours that taghut offered you, and gilded words that will distance you from your Lord, you followed.

You never once turned to (?) your Lord who created you. Although He showed you the truth, salvation, although He brought you out of darkness into light, although He saved you from the swamps and brought you to safety, although He spread every blessing before you, you are still after your nafs, and in the ranks of that Satan who is hostile to Allah, befriending him, you became friends with Allah's enemy. You became friends with the one hostile to Allah. Allah being hostile to a person. You became friends with the one hostile to Allah. In this case you chose your own place yourself. Yes.

So you have truly wronged yourself. O man! The treasure of life cannot be had again. And regret is of no use at all. Use your reason. Reflect; wherever you turn back from a loss, it is a gain. Turn to the Truth. Repent, so that you may find salvation. Otherwise the end is an eternal life full of (?) and agonies. The end. Yes.
