Translation

The prominent ones from the people of Pharaoh said; “Verily, this is a very knowledgeable sorcerer.”

Tafsir

It is in man's nature to rebel against Allah. These people will not come to faith. The prominent and wealthy people of his people, who saw these miracles of Hadrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm', turned to Pharaoh and said, 'This is a very knowledgeable magician.

Of course, those who do not want to be aware of Allah and His Messenger, those who are subject to their nafs and cannot behave as they wish in their places, those for whom the commands of Allah are too heavy, those who rebel against Allah, exchanging the life of this world for the life of the Hereafter, for a little benefit in this world. These people, of course, will not believe and will say, 'This is a great magician.

What is said in the video

Yes, we have come to verse 109. The verses are short anyway; within their meanings there are meanings; there are some verses that carry more than their own meaning. But we open them up a little more around them. For example: the chiefs of Pharaoh's people said, there is no doubt this is a very knowledgeable magician. Now, according to the knowledge I have been telling you about from before, from the very beginning, what is this knowledge? Since we made a covenant with our Lord, since everyone's wishes and desires are granted to him as his aim, since destiny lies in those aims, since no one can change his destiny, then those who, rebelling against Allah Almighty, made their covenant with Allah Almighty, will of course in this world, as I said a moment ago, not believe even if you joined the earth and the sky.

Because their destinies, their aims, their wishes and desires are like that. In this situation, what does it say? The chiefs of Pharaoh's people, that is, those deniers, said: there is no doubt this one is very knowledgeable, a magician. On what basis did they say it? On the basis of the word I have just explained. All of this rests on the covenant anyway. That is why we say: in human nature, let one only be (?) to Allah. We remind you of those places. These people are not going to come to faith. Whatever you show them. The chiefs of his people who saw these miracles of Moses (peace be upon him), the wealthy ones, turned to Pharaoh: this is a very learned magician, they said.

Now they turned the miracles into magic.

Of course, those who do not want to know about Allah and His Messenger, those who, following their nafs, will not be able to behave as they please where they are, as they please. That is, that is, these are people who deify their own wishes and desires, set up their rule over people, steer their own lives by their own reason, follow all the showy pleasures of the world, and want to go on living that way.

Of course, those who do not want to know about Allah and His Messenger, those who, following their nafs, will not be able to behave as they please where they are, those to whom Allah's commands will feel heavy, those who exchange the life of this world for the life of the hereafter and, in return for a little benefit in this world, rebel against Allah, these people of course will not believe. And they will say: this is a great magician. Yes.
