Translation

The prominent ones from the people of Pharaoh said; “Will you leave Moses and his people so that they will leave you and your deities and create mischief on earth? We will kill their sons and leave their women alive. Surely, we have the superiority to oppress them.”

Tafsir

In the face of this miracle, Pharaoh was afraid to touch Moses and his people. He was content with a threat. Sensing this, the elders of his people, the wealthy and influential ones, said to Pharaoh, 'O Pharaoh, do you leave Moses and his people free to leave you and your gods and to cause mischief in the earth?

Pharaoh seemed to be emboldened and replied, "We will kill their sons and set their women free. Surely we have the superiority to crush them. Earlier, before Hazrat Moses was born, the soothsayers had predicted that a son would be born among the Jewish tribe, who would become a Prophet and lead his people after him. The Pharaoh's dynasty used to kill the male children born among the Jews in order to both depopulate the Jews and to gain superiority over them. We will do the same thing now. We will kill their male children and free the women. We are always sovereign over them.

It is narrated that Pharaoh believed that the stars dominated the earth. For this reason, he built idols in the shape of stars on the earth. Since he came from the lineage of God, he believed that he himself was God. In this respect, he used to make his people both worship the star-shaped idols and worship him.

What is said in the video

Yes, of Surah Al-A'raf, verse 127 we have now reached.

The leaders of Pharaoh's people said, that is, the wealthy people it calls the leaders of Pharaoh's gang, Well, Moses and his people, that is, those Children of Israel, will you leave them so that they abandon you and your gods and spread corruption in the land? Now they are egging Pharaoh on, so that Moses, Moses and Aaron, (?) would be killed. And they themselves could carry on in their error, as they knew it. Pharaoh answers them: we will kill their sons and let their women live; we surely have the power to crush them, they said. Pharaoh says this. In an earlier lesson we touched on this a little.

The devils would rise to the angelic realm and to the angels' talk they would listen. To these people we call astrologers, that is, to people who have jinn, the words these jinn spoke and listened to, the words they took, stole from the angels, they would tell these astrologers. These astrologers, what did I say? Fortune-tellers, that is, magicians. They are called magicians.

They tell Pharaoh: a child will be born from the Children of Israel, and your throne he will take from you. In this case Pharaoh was killing the newborn boys of the Children of Israel and letting the girls go free. In this case Allah Almighty to Moses' mother in a dream: put him in a basket, set him on the Nile, someone who is an enemy to him and an enemy to Me will take him and raise him, He says. Seeing the dream again and again, the same event, Moses' mother makes the basket and puts him in it. To her daughter too, that is, Moses' sister, she says: look, see where it goes, follow it, she says.

Now in this case Pharaoh, in the face of the miracles he has seen, is also wary of Moses. He is wary, but his people, what? What do they say? We kill their daughters, I mean, we kill their sons, the daughters we let go free. Well, this is how we oppress them. We surely have the power to crush them, he says. Because he is wary of Moses and the miracle he showed, he speaks this way. Could it be that a man who defeated so many magicians, a person with this much power, is not for nothing, he says to himself, and in this case he is also wary of Moses. Yes, in the face of this miracle Pharaoh was afraid to touch Moses and his people.

He was content only with a threat. (?) the leaders of his people, that is, the wealthy and influential people, said to Pharaoh: O Pharaoh, are you setting Moses and his people free so that they abandon you and your gods and stir up discord in the land? they said. So they are thoroughly stirring Pharaoh up. Pharaoh, appearing emboldened by this, answered: we will kill their sons and let their women go free. We surely have the power to crush them, he said. Earlier too, before Moses was born, the soothsayers had said that from the Jewish tribe a son would be born, would become a prophet and would lead his people after him.

Pharaoh's dynasty, by killing the boys born among the Jews, did this both to reduce the Jews' numbers and to gain superiority over them. Now we will do the same thing. We will kill their newborn sons and let the women go free. We will always rule over them, they said.

According to one report, according to a report, Pharaoh believed that the stars ruled the earth. The stars in the sky supposedly ruled the earth. Yes. Since he himself came from the lineage of a god, in his own mind, from a god's lineage, he supposedly considered himself a god too.

For this reason he had star-shaped idols made on earth. And since he came from a god's lineage, he believed himself to be a god. For this reason he had his people worship both the star-shaped idols and himself. Yes.
