(Allah) said; “Oh Moses! With that which I have sent you with (the duties I have given to you), and with My words, I have made you exalted above people. Take what I am giving to you and be among those who are grateful.”
Tafsir
This word of Allah (swt) is Allah's confirmation of the Prophethood of Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm': He commissioned Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' as His servant and Prophet. He sent him as a Prophet to the people of his time. Every Prophet is a servant of Allah (swt) sent by Allah (swt) to the heads of the people of his time. Only our Prophet (s.a.w.), who is the Khatemen Nabi, is the head of the people until the Day of Judgment, as well as the head of the people and Prophets who came before him, since no Prophet will come again. Since he is a witness to all the Prophets, and the Prophets are the heads of the people of their time, in this respect, the Prophet Khatemen Nabi (PBUH) is the head of both the Prophets and the people. Moreover, by being (vema erselnake illa rahmeten lil alemin), he becomes the head of all creatures that he is alive and that will come until the Day of Resurrection.
He said to Hazrat Moses, "By giving you prophethood, by informing you of My Message, My commands and the duties you will perform, I have made you the head of the people of your time and until the Prophet who will come after you.
(Take what I have given you and be among the thankful.) Allah (swt) gave the Book of Torah to Moses. Take what I have given you; take possession of the Book and transmit it to my servants and make my commands known to your people and thank me for your prophetic messenger.
(Be among the grateful.) The greatest blessing that Allah has given to human beings is the light of Allah's guidance. There is no greater treasure than the knowledge of one's Lord. Because the life of this world is a guest house, all souls will taste death in this world anyway. Therefore, if man returns to his Lord and is with his Lord, he will be able to enjoy the blessings of the land of eternal bliss. There is no greater treasure and blessing than this. So if a person also receives a blessing such as prophethood, then of course this is the gratitude of gratitude for a human being.
What is said in the video
Yes, this verse has been explained wrongly. Surah Al-A'raf, verse 144, that one has been explained wrongly. First let us read the wrongly explained verse and see what it says.
Allah said: O Moses, with My message, with the duties I gave you and with My words I have chosen you as head over the people. Take what I have given you and be among the grateful. Allah Almighty did not choose anyone.
Choosing does not befit Allah Almighty. He does not choose. He either commands,
He says "Be", and it comes about within His command. And everything, within a wisdom, He creates. He did not choose Moses either.
If He had chosen, I would say: then He should have chosen me too. Why didn't I choose? Indeed, choosing does not befit Allah. Like among people saying: ah, I like you, you come. Whereas, as I explained before, since from the soul of the Prophet they were created, since they were created first, the first command He created, our Lord's command, that is, He will create with the Prophet. That is, that will, He says, that is, it will be, that the prophets, the first ones created, and by His command, that is, the prophets He created by His will, since He created them from the soul of the Prophet. Then He makes a covenant with them: as the elders of your peoples, I will send you as My messengers. Do you accept this?
We do, they say. These are what the verses say. And I am among the witnesses together with you, says Allah Almighty. I am among those who call to witness, He says. There they make the covenant. That is why the prophets are infallible. They are sinless. Yes, here we have written the correct version.
Yes. 144. verse: Allah said: O Moses, with My message, with the duties I gave you and with My words, over the people of the time I have appointed you as head. I have appointed. That is, I have sent you as a prophet. Take what I have given you and be among the grateful.
I have appointed you. There is no "I chose". That is, I have appointed you as head of the people. That is, I have sent you as a prophet. The command is plain; He willed it, didn't He, He created the prophets. His will was to create prophets. He will send them as the elders of the peoples, as messengers, and make His Essence known to them through these messengers. His will. So there is no "I chose". Choosing ascribes an attribute to Allah. Yes. In verse 146 there is again a mistake. We will read those to you as well. When the time comes. Allah said: O Moses! With My message, with the duties I gave you and with My words, over the people of the time I have appointed you as head. Take what I have given you and be among the grateful.
Look, it is all command. All command. We have written that these words of Allah Almighty are Allah's confirmation of the prophethood of Moses (peace be upon him). Yes. It is a confirmation. That is, of those created from the soul of the Prophet he is among the first. The first ones. The first of Allah's creating prophets by His will. The first ones from his soul.
What does "the message I gave you" mean? His message. It is His assigning Moses (peace be upon him) as His servant and prophet. What is the message? His seal. That is, the document He gave. His message. His document. The title of prophethood. Yes. With the title of prophethood I gave you. You accepted, and since you accepted, I too called to witness together with you all. And because I created you first as a prophet, I am giving you this message. Go ahead, at the head of His servants: hold fast what I have given you, hold it firmly, He commands. It is His assigning Moses (peace be upon him) as servant and prophet.
As for saying "I chose you as head over the people": every prophet, over the people of his time, sent by Allah, is a commissioned servant of Allah Almighty. They are commissioned servants. Yes.
Only the Prophet (peace be upon him), the Seal of the Prophets, since no prophet will come again, is head of the people until the Day of Judgment, and likewise of the people and prophets before him who came, the head. Since he is witness to all the prophets, and the prophets are the heads of the people of their time, in this respect the Seal of the Prophets (peace be upon him) becomes both head of the prophets and head of the people. Moreover, through being "ve ma erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l-âlemîn", and (?), of all created beings he becomes the head as well. In all the worlds, it has been created from him.
Yes. Because He created the worlds from his light. So, to Moses: by giving you prophethood, My message, My commands, by making known to you the duties to be done, I have made you head of the people of the time and, until the prophet who comes after you, of the people, He says. In his time and until the other prophets come. Their head. Yes. Because their elders are the prophets. So to Moses, yes: take what I have given you, be among the grateful. That is, hold fast to that Torah. Take what I have given you, be among the grateful. Allah Almighty gave Moses the book of the Torah. His saying "take what I have given you" means: take care of the book and convey them to My servants.
Announce My commands to your people. Thank Me with your prophethood and your certificate, He said. Yes.
Be among the grateful, He says. And this saying means: the greatest blessing Allah has given people is Allah's light of guidance. This is the greatest blessing. It is the guidance the Lord gives people. Yes. It is a person's knowing his Lord. There is no greater treasure than this. Because the life of this world is a guesthouse. In any case, in this world every soul will taste death. So, if a person returns to his Lord and is (?) his Lord, he attains the blessings of the abode of eternal bliss. There can be no greater treasure and blessing than this. So if a person, in addition, attains a blessing such as prophethood, then of course this is, for a person, gratitude upon gratitude.
