Al-A'raf 157: For those who follow the Messenger, the ummi Prophet who is described in the Torah and Bible with them, that Prophet orders them the good and forbids them the bad; he proclaims clean things to be permissible (halal) and unclean things to be unlawful (haram). He alleviates the burden and fetters that are on them. Those who believe in that Prophet, show respect to him, help him and follow the divine light (Noor) that was sent with him, they are the ones who attain salvation.

Translation

For those who follow the Messenger, the ummi Prophet who is described in the Torah and Bible with them, that Prophet orders them the good and forbids them the bad; he proclaims clean things to be permissible (halal) and unclean things to be unlawful (haram). He alleviates the burden and fetters that are on them. Those who believe in that Prophet, show respect to him, help him and follow the divine light (Noor) that was sent with him, they are the ones who attain salvation.

Tafsir

When Allah (swt) addresses the Jews and Christians and says, "Those who follow the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.), the Ummi, whom they found written in the Torah and the Gospel that they have with them," Allah (swt) means the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.).Allahu ta'âlâ, who was not educated by anyone on earth and whose only teacher was Allah, and who taught him as much knowledge as Allahu ta'âlâ willed, says of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), "Those who follow that ummah, that Prophet, he commands them good and forbids them evil. Because this Ummite Prophet is the head of all humanity and at the same time a Prophet created from the light of the worlds (vema erselnake illa rahmeten lil alemin).

In this respect, he is compassionate and merciful to people. He is a Prophet who never cursed any human being. That is why He has made lawful for people the clean things and unlawful the unclean things that Allah has revealed.

Islam is such a religion that it does not burden people with a burden that no one can bear, and at the same time, Islam gives life to people with its verse that says, "Make this religion easy, do not make it difficult". Difficulties such as the mention of weights and chains in the Qur'an, the cutting off of some parts of the body of the Jews and Christians who sinned in the Torah, the cutting off and throwing away of the filth on the clothes, the burning of the spoils, and not shopping on Saturday because it was forbidden to shop on that day, have been eliminated with the religion of Islam.

(Those who believe in the Holy Qur'an, respect the Prophet, help him, and believe in the Light sent with him, and believe in the Holy Qur'an, and judge by it, and follow it, those are the ones who will attain salvation). They are the ones who receive Allah's mercy.

If people think, the life of this world is but a game and a toy. In the end, no matter how long you live, you will surely taste death. When they pass on to the Hereafter, on the Day of Reckoning, they will be held to account for their deeds in this world. It is with this knowledge and feeling that those who, while in this world, turn to Allah, the owner and creator of the worlds, and follow the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Messenger of Allah, and follow the Holy Qur'an that was sent with him, will attain salvation. This is a series of adventures.

With this Verse, Allah proves the Verse we have already opened, (Inneddine indallahil Islam) and all the Verses prove each other. Some of the Verses explicitly state that no religion other than Islam is valid. By explicitly ordering to support and follow Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and to follow the Qur'an, Allah (swt) declares that these are the ones who will be saved, and that those who follow other religions other than these will suffer loss, and that their eternal place will be Hell.

What is said in the video

In verse 157 of Surah Al-A'raf: those who follow the messenger they find written in the Torah and the Gospel with them, that is, the messenger they found written for Moses, that unlettered prophet — those who follow him, what does it say: the messenger they find written in the Torah and the Gospel with them — it is the Prophet that Allah Almighty means. Because the Torah and the Gospel, in the Quran, that unlettered Messenger of Allah, Allah Almighty means the Prophet (peace be upon him) here. Those who follow the messenger they find written in the Torah and the Gospel with them, that unlettered Prophet, those who follow — that Prophet commands them what is good, forbids them what is evil, makes the pure things lawful for them and the filthy things unlawful.

See how nicely this answers what our child asked. Why does a prophet come? To cleanse people of evil, to entrust the truth to them. He too is a human being. He too — according to what they did, and at a time when those unbelievers, the non-Muslims, worshipped idols — well, does a person stray from Allah because they do so? Being among them, telling them about it, inviting them to the truth is the messenger's duty — see how beautiful — that is how he becomes a prophet there. By inviting them to the truth. Yes. We remove their burdens and the chains upon them. Those who believe in that Prophet, honor him, help him and follow the light sent down with him, the Quran — they are the ones who attain salvation.

Did you see that? And the answer to the question came out as well. Yes. Him, to salvation. We will follow. We will not keep in view those who turn their backs on him. Whatever anyone does. Everyone does it to himself. What does it say? What a person does to himself, the two worlds together could not do. Yes.

Allah Almighty, addressing the Jews and Christians, saying: those who follow the unlettered messenger they find written in the Torah and the Gospel with them — and, meaning Muhammad (peace be upon him), His calling him unlettered is for one raised by no one on earth, whose only teacher is Allah, to whom Allah Almighty taught as much knowledge as He willed — for the Beloved of the Most Glorious, Muhammad (peace be upon him): that unlettered one, those who follow him — that Prophet commands them what is good, forbids what is evil. Because this Prophet is the head of all humanity and at the same time a prophet from whose light the worlds were created, and he is "ve mâ erselnâke illâ rahmeten li'l-âlemîn".

Yes. All the worlds were created from his light. And human beings were created from his spirit. Yes. For this reason he is compassionate and merciful toward people. He is a prophet who cursed no human being. Whoever says about the Prophet that he pronounced this curse or that imprecation, that person slanders the Prophet (peace be upon him). Because if he came as mercy to the worlds, a prophet who came as mercy does not curse. That's one. In the verses too, Allah Almighty says thus: When you are angry with someone, as if praying for good, it says, for evil, it says. You pray, it says. That is, you curse, it says.

According to this verse too, the prophet who came as mercy to the worlds does not curse. Yes. If he is mercy to the worlds, mercy, he never curses people; according to the verse "he does not speak idly", had he cursed, his curse would seize people and they would perish. In many verses it becomes clear that the Prophet did not curse. Yes.

What are we saying? For this reason he is compassionate and merciful toward people. He is a prophet who cursed no human being. That is why the pure things Allah made known he made lawful for people, and the filthy things unlawful. Yes.

Islam is such a religion that it does not load onto people's backs a burden no one could bear, and at the same time, with the verse saying "make this religion easy, do not make it hard", the religion of Islam gives people life.

Islam: Allah did not send people to this world so that they would suffer hardship or difficulty. Yes. We are all servants of Allah. Allah wrongs no soul. So it is man who wrongs himself. If people abided by Allah's verses, people would not suffer injustice. Let's explain the reason a bit. Now, it says peace is in Islam.

So that person, I mean, if a person abides by Allah Almighty's verses, and also loves Allah Almighty, loves Him, fears and loves Him, always submits to whatever comes from Allah, is content, takes refuge in the verse (?), takes refuge in it, knows that in his lifetime he himself proves what kind of person he is to Allah Almighty,

then, even if that person lives in want in this world, even if he is (?) between two millstones, because of his surrender to Allah, his heart encompasses these worlds. The suffering he endures never affects him. His love of Allah, the peace in his heart, all those sufferings it overcomes, overcomes those pains, overcomes that want. He knows this pain will end one day, and in the hope of attaining Allah's mercy in the Hereafter, even if all the pains of this world, as between those two millstones, torment a person, he bears them gladly, that person. Yes.

So Islam is such a religion that it does not load a burden no one could bear onto people's backs, and at the same time, with the verse saying "make this religion easy, do not make it hard", the religion of Islam gives people life.

The verse's mention of burdens and chains: in the Torah, cutting off some limbs of those Jews and Christians who sinned, cutting off and discarding the part of clothing stained with filth, burning the spoils of war, not trading on Saturday since trade was deemed forbidden that day — such hardships were removed by the religion of Islam. So the burdens and chains were broken.

Yes. How beautifully Allah sheds light for man with His verses.

Those who believe in that Prophet and honor him — and how could you not honor him? Can you (?) your mother and father? Could you fail to respect your mother and father? Your mother and father. To the Prophet who came as mercy to the worlds — since we were all created from his spirit, can there be disrespect toward him, even indirectly? Yes. Those who believe in that Prophet, honor him, help him, and the light sent down with him — who believe in that light, believe in the Holy Quran and abide by it, and follow him — they are the ones who attain salvation. They are the ones who attain Allah's mercy.

And those who attain Allah's mercy are these, too. Those who attain salvation.

If people would reflect, yes,

if people would reflect, worldly life is nothing but a game and plaything. Now, another verse comes. It says: worldly life is nothing but a game and plaything. Again, in one verse it says worldly life is nothing but a game and plaything. In one it is nothing but a game and plaything, and in the other it is nothing but a game and plaything, it says. Yes. What are these meanings here?

Just as a child plays house, so that people can prove to themselves what kind of person they are, in the face of the blessings Allah Almighty has given, a person plays with the feelings of his nafs, just as a child plays with a toy. He proves what kind of person he is. But this does not remain a game and plaything. That here a person was able to prove, did prove, what kind of person he is — tomorrow, on the Day of Judgment, he understands that it was not a game and plaything. So, O man, it says, this world is not merely a game and amusement. That is, by this world's games and amusements, its beautiful look, its rosy look, the feelings of your nafs whipping you on, the (?) Satan gives, following the footsteps of Taghut, never be deceived by the world's amusement.

This place is nothing but a game and amusement, but that in reality it is not merely a game and amusement, tomorrow, on the Day of Judgment, at the Great Court, when you give account in Allah Almighty's presence, you will understand, it says. Yes. The two verses seem to contradict each other, but how beautifully the two verses complete each other.

If people would reflect, worldly life is nothing but a game and plaything. In the end, however long you live, in the end there is surely death. Whoever passes to the Hereafter knowing that there, on that Day of Reckoning, they will be called to account for the deeds they did in the world, and turns to Allah, their Owner and Creator — those who follow the one Allah sent, the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace be upon him), and adhere to the Holy Quran sent with him, attain salvation. This too — this too is nothing but a series of games. we said. It is nothing but a series of games. But in the end you understand that it is not a game.

Yes. With this verse Allah Almighty proves the verse we explained earlier: İnne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm. Indeed, all the verses prove one another. In some verses, that no religion other than Islam is valid it openly declares. Openly, clearly, commanding that Muhammad (peace be upon him) be supported, followed and the Quran adhered to, it declares that these are the ones who attain salvation, that those who follow what they invented as religion outside of these will suffer loss, that their eternal abode is Hell.
