When they forgot about the warnings that were given to them, We saved those who were preventing the bad. And for the bad deeds they were committing, We seized the oppressors with a severe punishment.
Tafsir
(They, the Children of Israel, forgot the warnings given to them. They took Allah's commands and His Verses lightly. They turned their backs on all these blessings. Allah (swt) warned them and saved a group of clerics who wanted to prevent evil, and Allah (swt) seized them with a chastisement for the evil they were doing to this people who were unjust to their own souls.
If people do not listen to Allah's commands, do not give thanks to their Creator even though they see the blessings Allah has given them, forget the purpose of their creation, eat and drink like animals, live with pride and arrogance, run after lust, do not remember Allah, think that they are irresponsible, think that no one will ask them to account for themselves, do not remember the Day of Reckoning, forget Allah and the Hereafter, associate partners with Allah and deny Allah, these people will have pity on themselves. They will be unjust to their souls in the Hereafter, in return for a despicable worldly life. They will be tormented with misfortune in this world, and they will have bought eternal torment in the Hereafter.
What is said in the video
And in verse 165: When they forgot the warnings given to them, We saved those who forbade evil. See how beautifully He says it. From evil... Allah's eternal law is like that forever, until the Day of Judgment. You will find no change in the law.
When they forgot the warnings given to them, We saved those who forbade evil and seized the wrongdoers with a severe punishment for the evil they were doing, He says.
They, that is the Children of Israel, forgot the warnings given to them. They took Allah's commands and verses lightly. They turned their backs on so many blessings. And Allah Almighty, warning them, by saving a group of religious men who wanted to forbid evil, this people who were wronging their own selves, for the evil they were doing, Allah Almighty seized them with a punishment.
So man does not listen to Allah's commands. Although he sees the blessings Allah has given them, he does not thank his Creator. Forgetting the purpose of creation, he eats and drinks like animals, and living with pride and arrogance he runs after lust. He does not remember Allah, sees himself as unaccountable, and thinks no one will call him to account, he does not remember the Day of Reckoning, forgets Allah and the hereafter, associates partners with Allah, and if they deny Allah, these people will have done themselves harm. Yes. Isn't it like that now too?
Look, those who live far from Allah like this are so restless that each of them has a goal, a world of his own. A world within a goal. A restless world. Because he does not remember Allah, because the nafs does not know what being satisfied is, because Satan tempts the nafs, man has entered the world of a certain goal of his and lives restlessly. It is not clear where he is being dragged. He (?) one place. Like a magnet pulling a (?), he is tied there like this and stays. When this ends, another one comes in there. When that ends, another one goes there. Because there is simply no such thing called Allah.
Allah, the Book, the Prophet do not come to their minds. Today, in the places I walked around, I look, you know. Women and girls talk with a phone in their hands. Come on, you have no business, you have no power. Let me put it this way. You are a young girl, you are a student. With the phone in hand, (?) they chatter, chatter, chatter. Constantly on the phone. What are you talking about? You have no Allah, no religion, no Book. Perhaps for weeks and weeks, perhaps for months Allah does not come to your mind. The call to prayer is recited right by your ear, you do not hear it. You have entered such a world.
Yes. These things are seen here. Well, are you going to look for peace in this? Is there peace in this? But they think they are living. Their hearts being pleased for a moment, those worlds come from themselves, but only for a moment. After that, constant restlessness. For a Muslim, a moment of restlessness is as if it had caught him in a vise in this world. When that restlessness lifts, even the seconds he has lived throughout his life feel to him like months, years, so peacefully does he live. Yes.
Therefore, if we are at peace, if we turn to Allah, if we say Allah, if against the worship we do we see the evils in our nafs and fight them, and if we become a good servant to our Lord, we gain both our world and our hereafter.
So man does not listen to Allah's commands; although he sees the blessings Allah has given them, he does not thank his Creator; forgetting the purpose of creation, he eats and drinks like animals, living with pride and arrogance, he runs after lust. He does not remember Allah. He sees himself as unaccountable and that no one will call him to account, he thinks. He does not remember the Day of Reckoning. He does not remember. He forgets Allah and the hereafter. He associates partners with Allah, and if they deny Allah, these people will have done themselves harm. They both suffer punishment in this world through its calamities, and in the hereafter they will have bought eternal punishment.
Yes.
