Al-A'raf 166: When they didn’t abandon the things that were made unlawful for them due to their arrogance, We said to them, “Turn into despicable apes!”

Translation

When they didn’t abandon the things that were made unlawful for them due to their arrogance, We said to them, “Turn into despicable apes!”

Tafsir

When all these counsels did not help this people who had become proud and arrogant, Allah (swt) said to them, "Be despicable monkeys" and changed their forms and turned them into monkeys.

Some exegetes have characterized this change not as a form, but as a temperament. They have considered it as the monkey being gluttonous, as the monkey having an appetite, as well as the monkey being quick to give up everything, and quick to fall into bad habits. And some have described it as a form.

The word of Allah is both manifest and subtle, what Allah says is what Allah says. These are not to be interpreted, and if one tries to interpret what is clear and unambiguous, one is ascribing a lie against Allah, and one would be committing sin and disbelief with an uninformed faith. If actions did not depend on intentions, each one of them would be out of religion and, God forbid, one would be preparing one's own destruction.

Their forms have been changed into apes. Today's science has refuted Dr. Darwin's theory that man descended from apes with this verse, and Allah (swt) informed us in the Holy Qur'an one thousand four hundred and twenty-three years ago that the human form was changed into ape. In fact, the images of those who did not believe in the miracle shown by Hazrat Jesus (peace be upon him) were changed into rhinos, that is, pigs.

What is said in the video

Verse 166 of Surah Al-A'raf: When they grew arrogant and did not give up what they had been forbidden, We said to them: Be despised apes, it says. When they grew arrogant, yes, those who saw pride and arrogance in themselves, from what was forbidden did not refrain, Allah Almighty said to them: Be despised apes. When all the advice given to this people, who grew proud with pride and arrogance, was of no use, Allah Almighty, saying to them: Be lowly and despised apes, changed their form and turned them into apes. Nothing is hard for Allah Almighty.

He created the universe with knowledge. With knowledge He puts whatever He wills into whatever form He wills. If you say: Hodja, how does a human turn into an ape, today normally, on a tree, on an apple tree, you graft a pear. That apple tree becomes a pear tree.

Its graft is pear.

They graft apricot onto a plum tree. It becomes an apricot tree. It yields apricots.

Likewise with a human: if Allah Almighty, into the food he eats, into what he drinks, or into the water, puts such a gene from a DNA chain, He turns him into that form. This is within Allah's power. Within His knowledge, power and creation. Yes. That is why one must fear Allah. And one must love Allah very much. What does the verse say? If there is anyone to be feared, it is Me; if there is anyone to be loved most, He says, it is also Me, He says again.

Some commentaries have described this change not as one of form but as one of character. Of character. That is, they are reinterpreting Allah Almighty's verse, reinterpreting. This is reinterpretation. Well, if He had changed them in character, how would He change them in character anyway? That denies His verse too, out of not knowing. Not knowing what? Because they do not know the verses. You know, Allah Almighty had given everyone their wish as their destiny, He had said: If We do not will, you cannot will. Then how did they change that destiny of theirs into character? That is, to this extent, these people illogically, according to their own minds, write commentary, commentary.

A person writes, yes, but writes in the (?) of the verses so that they support one another. Yes.

What does it say? Some commentaries have described this change not as one of form but as one of character. Well, if they had described it as character, today Dr. Darwin's saying that man comes from the ape, the ape skeleton being the same as the human skeleton, with what will they reconcile this miracle?

They cannot reconcile it. So these are sophistries, superstitions.

Since the ape is (?), as an ape's appetite, and at the same time as the ape giving up everything quickly and quickly being carried away by whims, that is how they assessed it. And some described it as form. The word of Allah Almighty is both outward and inward. Whatever Allah says, that is what it is. These are not to be reinterpreted. If one sets out to reinterpret what is said clearly and plainly, he will have attributed a lie to Allah, and so a person, with faith without knowledge, sins and falls into kufr. If deeds were not bound to intention, each would leave the religion; Allah forbid, a person will have prepared his own destruction, we say.

Their forms were changed into apes. We say this definitively. Today's science: Dr. Darwin's theory that man comes from the ape, by this verse is refuted; and that the human form was changed into an ape, 1423 years ago, Allah Almighty, in the Holy Quran, informed us of it.
