And mention the time when your Lord addressed Moses, “go to the nation of oppressors.

Tafsir

By making the Prophet (PBUH) recall the events of Prophet Moses (PBUH), that is, by making people recount the events of the time of Prophet Moses (PBUH), Allah (swt) is proving to the people of the Book that the Qur'an is a true book and that the Prophet (PBUH) is on the straight path. Namely. The fact that he spoke of the past in the time of the Prophet (SAW) and that the people of the book knew of this event through the Torahs in their possession proves that the Prophet (SAW) was a Prophet.

Hazrat Musa (Moses) had a direct conversation with Allah (swt). Some Sufis and exegetes have interpreted these events in various ways. According to Imam Maturiddin, it happened through kalam in a way that Hazrat Musa (as) could understand. According to Imam al-Ashari, it happened in an eternal way. Yes, Allah spoke directly to Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) in the holy place called Tuva. Allah also spoke to human beings in the Elestu bi Rabbikum address and made a covenant with them and took each soul as a witness. Allah has spoken eternally in the world and with Musa 'alaihis-salâm'. In this respect, He also received the attribute of kalamullah. Hadrat Muhammad (PBUH) also spoke with Allah on the miraj. Allah (swt) will speak to us in Paradise and we will see Allah (swt) in person. Just as in the address of Elestu bi Rabbikum, Allah (swt) and human beings will speak.

Since the realm of property is an unseen realm, people are asked to believe in the unseen. The reason for this is that Allah has sent people to the unseen realm of the world so that those who see Allah's Essence in the address "Elestu bi Rabbikum" (Elestu bi Rabbikum) and deny it will not say, "If you had sent me to a realm where your Essence is not visible, I would have recognized and worshipped you there. Allah (swt) speaks directly to Hazrat Musa 'alaihis-salâm' and gives him a mission to go to the people of oppressors and deliver the Truth. The people he refers to as the people of the oppressors are Egypt and Pharaoh and Pharaoh's people who claimed godhood in Egypt.

What is said in the video

"And remember the time when your Lord called out to Moses: 'Go to the people who are wrongdoers.'" To whom will he go? He will go to Pharaoh, the wrongdoing people. What does He say to him? "Remember the time when" — remember. Now here, here, this word: Allah Almighty, the Prophet (peace be upon him), to the Prophet, Moses' going to Pharaoh, earlier in the realm of the hereafter, He showed; he visits those days. He knows. In fact, in some verses Allah Almighty (?). Yes. (?). So then, Moses' going to Pharaoh — look, what does He say? "Remember the time when your Lord called out to Moses: 'Go to your people, who are wrongdoers.'" To Moses, well, in the Sinai Desert on Mount Tur, appearing in the form of a fire, in the form of a fire, to Moses: "O Moses, I am your Lord," (?).

Why does He appear in the form of a fire? Because Allah Almighty sent us to a hidden world. Where His being will not be seen — a world. So that He is not recognized; He is not recognized anyway. He encompasses all eyes, but man cannot grasp and encompass Him. That is, cannot comprehend Him. So His appearing in the form of a fire does not mean he saw Him in the world. What does He say? "O Moses, go to Pharaoh; that Pharaoh has transgressed. Call him to the truth." That is, make My being known to him. Allah Almighty, by having the Prophet (peace be upon him) recall the story of Moses (peace be upon him), that is, by having him tell people what happened in Moses' time, that the Quran is a true book and that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is on sirat al-mustaqim, on a straight path — this He has proven to the People of the Book as well.

Namely, the Prophet (peace be upon him), in his time, speaking about the past and the People of the Book knowing this event from the Torahs in their hands are proof that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is a prophet. Moses (peace be upon him) spoke directly with Allah Almighty. Some Sufis and exegetes have interpreted these events in various ways. This, (?) Imam Maturidi, in a way that Moses (peace be upon him) could understand, took place through speech. According to Imam Ash'ari, too, the speech took place as eternal. Yes, Allah spoke directly, as eternal, in the sacred land called Tuwa, with Moses (peace be upon him).

In the address "Elestü bi Rabbiküm" He also spoke with people, and with them made a covenant and made every soul a witness over itself. In the world, too, Allah spoke with Moses (peace be upon him) as eternal. For this reason he also received the title Kelamullah. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), too, in the Mi'raj, with Allah Almighty spoke. In Paradise Allah Almighty will speak to us, and we will see Allah Almighty in person. As in that same address, people will speak with Allah Almighty. Now, Allah Almighty speaking with Moses as kalim — what does that mean? Not with the attribute of His being. Like an object speaking, you know. For example, the Prophet made trees speak, didn't he?

He raised the dead and spoke. So, not His true appearance, but appearing in a luminous form or in the form of a fire and speaking — you know the voice coming from something, from a megaphone — He spoke just like that. But Allah Almighty spoke directly with the Prophet (peace be upon him). Where? In the Mi'raj. What does speaking directly mean? He saw Him in person.

And wasn't Allah invisible? Allah is not seen in the world. He is seen; you cannot comprehend Him. So this here is a hidden world. In a hidden world, He did not show Moses His (?) and speak with him. "My Lord" — when He shows His (?), "you cannot bear it," He says. "Look at the mountain," He says; the mountain crumbles. So He did not speak by showing His being. He spoke as the eternal. So then, the Prophet met Allah Almighty in person outside the world, in the Mi'raj. Now, there is a very big difference between the two.

Since the realm of mulk is an unseen world, people's faith in the unseen is required. The reason for this: so that those who, in the address "Elestü bi Rabbiküm", saw Allah Almighty's being and denied would not say, "Had You sent me to a world where Your being is not seen, I would have recognized You there and worshipped You," Allah sent people to a hidden world, the realm of this world. Now, since the verses always complement one another, what does Allah Almighty say here in Surah Ta-Ha, verse 134, as well? "Had We destroyed you with a punishment before the Quran, you would have said exactly this," He says. "If only You had sent us a prophet, a messenger, a book, so we would not have fallen into this base disgrace," He says. So what does this mean?

Because in the address "Elestü bi Rabbiküm" He appeared completely, exactly in human guise, people, out of their pride and arrogance, did not see Allah Almighty as Creator and waited for the Lord in their own minds. In this case they — what does Allah Almighty say about them? "My beloved, do not mind their belying you, that is, their denying you. Back then they denied Me too." And in another verse He says this: "They will not be able to see their Lord." Because they cannot understand from the verses, people say Allah will gather them blind. Yet in Surah As-Sajdah, verse 12, it says, "We have come, we have seen — is there a return to the world again?" "We came, we saw and we heard," it says, "is there a return to the world?" Now, there is Allah Almighty's speaking in a figurative sense.

And there is His speaking in a literal sense. Now when He says here "they are blind", they are blind. They denied despite seeing Allah Almighty; the Lord of their imagination they will not see. That is, when He says they will not see their Lord — there is no god other than Allah for them to see the Lord they imagined. This verse directly symbolizes tawhid. There is no god but Allah. Yes. The One who spoke directly with Moses (peace be upon him) as kalim, Allah Almighty, gives Moses (peace be upon him) the task of going to the wrongdoing people and delivering the truth. The people He refers to as the wrongdoing people are Egypt and, in Egypt, the one claiming divinity, Pharaoh, and Pharaoh's people.

Yes.
