Translation

Are they associating beings as partners (to Allah) who cannot create anything, but who were created themselves?

Tafsir

Do these people not think that although all beings have been created by Allah, Who has no partner and no partner, and Who has wisdom in His knowledge, do these people not think that these beings, created by Allah, have been shaped by their own hands, and that they take as gods some people and idols who are of no use even to themselves? They associate partners with Allah and equate them with Allah. They worship them unconsciously.

What is said in the video

Addressing the polytheists, Allah Almighty, the polytheists and all people as well, so that they take lessons, Allah Almighty in His verse warns people. Do they associate with Allah beings that, while themselves created, cannot create anything, He says. Yes, addressing the idolaters, those who worship idols, when He says 'though themselves created', here He means both people or the worlds, though created, and in addition, to those who worship the idols they made with their own hands: those idols, beings that cannot create anything, do they associate them with Allah, He says. Here Allah Almighty is inviting people to reflection.

Reflection. Because Allah Almighty has given man a fine blessing of reason. With this blessing of reason, with the ability to compare, people grasp the truth better, grasp what is right better, and find it. In this case, if a person were to use his reason: stones, soil, trees, any created matter, if a person shapes it by hand and worships it, regards it as a god, begs it, surely this person is one who has gone astray in the middle of a straight road, who does not use his reason, a wretched person. Those who turned their backs on Allah Almighty, full of hatred and resentment, out of pride and arrogance and haughtiness, who in fact do not even worship those they worship, deviants who deify their own nafs.

Yes, although all beings were created by Allah, who has no spouse or partner, who is wise in His knowledge, do these people not think? These beings Allah created, people shape with their own hands, and certain humans and idols of no use even to them they take as gods. They associate them with Allah. They hold them equal to Allah. They worship them mindlessly. So these people, these people, who do not use their reason, who deny Allah with feelings of hatred and resentment toward Allah Almighty, and wait for the Lord of their imagination and, accordingly, what they shape with their hands,

that, by putting the spirit of their imagined Lord into it, by worshipping it, in fact deify their own nafs, and this is the first aspect of their deifying their own nafs:

these, by their own thinking, by their reasoning, to every word of these people, the Lord who created them will (?). He will favor those with wealth and property. Those with children and family will be His close ones. In this way, as they wish, to that Creator who created them they will, um, render servitude. Whereas, since there is (?) other than Allah, since there is no creator other than Allah, they are people in such imagined expectations, who deify their own nafs and, out of pride, arrogance and haughtiness, do not submit to Allah, and thus, directing their own lives by associating partners, um, steering themselves, people who in the hereafter are left to eternal torment.

People who buy the torment of the hereafter. Yes. May Allah grant such people good guidance.
