Translation

However, they (idols) cannot help them, nor can they help themselves.

Tafsir

People shape the creations of Allah with their hands and make idols. Then they worship these idols. Do they not think that these idols can neither help themselves nor help those who worship them? They are inanimate beings. Can the created ever become the creator? Can man worship what his hands have made as God? This is nothing but the drift of those who rebel against Allah, those who do not recognize Allah, those who seek a god other than Allah, on dark and marshy paths.

What is said in the video

Yet the idols can neither give them any help nor be of any help to themselves. Allah Almighty also said earlier, in His verse: We never cease to give people parables with a mosquito and what is larger. Here, even the lowest person, that is, one who cannot use his mind, we won't say lowest person, of course, by addressing a person without knowledge, He leads them too, in a sense, to use their reason. Yet can the idols give them any help? Because they are made of wood, made of stone, carved by their hands. They aren't even aware of themselves. They are neither of any help to them, nor can they get help from them.

Yes, how beautifully Allah Almighty sets events before people so clearly, so plainly, before people He presents them. What Allah created, people shape with their hands and make idols. In the shape of humans, of animals, however he pictures in his imagination his Lord, or what he fears, or what he loves, accordingly into idols of his imagination, that is, turning materials into idols, they want to worship them. They make idols. Then they worship these idols. Do they never think? The idols can neither help themselves, nor to those who worship them can they provide any help. They know this too. Well then, why do they worship?

As we just said, he awaits the Lord of his own imagination. He awaits a Lord who will favor him for his wealth and property, be close to him for his children and family, and do everything they say; such a Lord he awaits. That is why Allah Almighty's command to these people, when we say command, His sharia ruling, is heavy for these people. In this respect, within their own whims, with such feelings, that is, within the judgments their own minds give, in the direction of their wishes and desires, because they expect the Lord who created them, that is, the Lord of their imagination, to flatter them, it caresses their pride and arrogance, these feelings of haughtiness.

So in this way, by worshipping what Allah created, they turn their backs on Allah. And Allah Almighty says they will not see their Lord. Because there is no god but Allah, for them to see their Lord. Yes. Do they never think? They can neither help themselves, nor to these, to those who worship them, provide any help. Even these are lifeless beings. Can the created ever be the creator? Can what was created be the creator? Can a person worship as god what he made with his own hands? This is nothing but those who rebel against Allah, who do not know Allah, in search of a god other than Allah, being dragged down dark and swampy paths, nothing else.

Yes.

What does Allah Almighty say anyway? People in search of a god other than Allah, He says.

İnne'd-dîne inda'llâhi'l-İslâm. There is no religion other than the religion of Islam. Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, He says, let him seek a god other than Allah. Since there is no religion other than Islam, and no god other than Allah, these are the very deviants themselves. Yes.
